Air Heritage Aviation Museum reviews
13Fantastic place, with a wonderful selection of planes to see. We even had someone walk around with us to explain any questions my kids had. The gift shop full of airplanes to purchase was a bonus. Definitely recommend!
Super cool free aviation museum in the area (donations welcome). The guys who run the museum are always happy to tell you about the planes. It's a fun little place to check out. I've been going here since I was little, been here countless times, and now I take my kids and nieces/nephews.
Highly recommend! We had a wonderful experience here. The docents are extremely knowledgeable and made us all (including the kids) feel welcome. We plan to visit again!
The volunteers were amazing and personally showed us projects that they were working on. They were very kind and answered all of our questions. We really enjoyed our experience.
A small museum where inside it shows great unforgettable and impressive Historical Memories. Very Friendly Staff, with Very Special Knowledge, You really feel Welcome and I really like how they spend their time pleasantly sharing stories and showing this great place. No admission fee is paid, only donations are received. You enjoy the time you spend in the museum. For me, all the people who were and are professional pilots, especially in the military area, are very admirable people. Thunderpig Fairchild C-123K
It appears to be a very special aircraft with a rich history, brought from the Arizona Bone Desert to the Air Heritage Museum in Beaver, Pennsylvania. He appeared in movies, including American Made with Tom Cruise. One more home. Thank you very much for such a special visit, history and dedication.
Nice little air museum. They have a fairly small number of restored aircraft on display, and a large number of aircraft parts and other memorabilia. The people there know their aircraft well and are more than happy to share their knowledge. Admission is free (donations accepted). The aircraft are not roped off, so you can get up close. Well worth the time.
Awesome up close and friendly folks keeping history alive and doing it exceptionally well. Multiple aircraft from props to jets. Knowledgeable staff and well taken care of displays. Highly informative and educational no admission fee, donations only they offer annual memberships that start @$15/year. Thank you all for sharing your knowledge and keeping such great planes flying.
Beautiful place to see. Was able to go for free or with a donation to see all they had. The volunteers that run the place were kind and cool enough to show my family around and we even were able to go inside one of the planes and hear about its history. To imagine those big things in the air while in it on ground was a cool experience and sight.
My daughter loved coming to visit the Air Heritage museum, it's more of a garage for fixing up old planes but we had a blast seeing all of the old planes and even got to go inside some of them
I saw the little blue sign on 51 so many times and finally decided to stop and see what this place was! The museum in the front is small but robust! I really enjoyed the Wright Brothers display with the patent for their “flying machine! ” There are model planes, photos, paintings, newspaper articles, gear, and more!
From what I understand veterans run the place and when I stopped by they were hanging out in the hangar area. It was neat to learn some of the items and even the planes outside were flown by some of those very vets!
I don’t know much about flight but one of the men showed us around a bit and explained how the one plane was in a Tom Cruise movie! Neat experience, I’d suggest stopping by if you’re in the area!
Very informative. Very Very cool, they let you look inside one of the big bombers, you can walk all around the planes inside the building and outside of the building. Good amount of planes. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
PSA - this place runs off the honor and trust style system, they don't monitor you while there, not many places are restricted, so be respectful, don't get to touchy and feely. Don't be a troll and don't steal. Otherwise have fun!
Awesome place to learn about aviation. Great group of people talking about aircraft and rebuilding history in those aircraft. Donations are accepted as there is no fee to get in. Climb in and around great airplanes and fun for all ages. Volunteers keep this places going!
