Aki Asian Restaurant reviews
18I’ve ordered take-out here twice and both times I’ve been very satisfied. Excellent sweet potato roll and fried dumplings. Everything I’ve ordered has been tasty. They pack the order so neatly too and haven’t forgotten anything. Great customer service!
Local restaurant with great service and delicious food. Sushi is the best option and highly suggest the Asian Wonton Soup. Poke bowls are also another great option.
I live close by now and I am so glad to have this little sushi spot right by me. Great prices and great food!
Very pretty interior food was delicious and the waitress was very friendly! Would recommend and will be back for more!
Look at the pictures i posted. $100 worth of food, and no extra for spending. Most places do, spend $65 get a certain food free, not here. Can anyone see the difference between the spicy salmon and spicy tuna roll? Me either. Spicy crab roll was just chopped up imitation crab no sauce. Sexy Jalepeno platter is super unattractive lol. 3 poppers for $8. Where was the tuna on top? Why fry bread crumbs on top? Weird and so not worth the money. Fried calamari was ALL bread crumbs! And looked ridiculous, like long squiggly not the normal round circles and was not worth it. Beef udon was good, beef was literally the size of a pinky nail, no kidding, but good none the less. General tso was very good, just leave out the pineapple, never seen that before. Crab Rangoon was real good and Egg roll was good, eel roll is all avocado, as you can see in the picture. It's just sad they are rated so high. Im just being honest, it was a waste of time, just like the place O town right next door to this place. Both Rated so high, it seems to be by locals only, because they both are not worth a second stop, never again
I LOVE their sushi but got food today at 8pm. Got poke bowl, soup and sushi.the poke bowl and soup has tiny pieces of hair in it. Soo much hair. I’m so upset. Whyy? Will keep getting sushi but will never order at night again.
It's a great bargain at aki. The portions are amazing. The food is actually pretty good. The tempura is what I get when I go. It is a bit small, but sometimes those are some of the best places. I don't know about the cleanliness because there isn't much to the lobby. People seem very nice who run aki. All in all it's pretty good to grab a bite at a reasonable price
Though the dining area is small, they make up for it with atmosphere and fantastic food. We particularly enjoy the pokey bowls. If you love sushi, you'll adore this corner dining experience.
A little mild in flavor, but for the area this restaurant is in, the food is fine. Love the neko decor, worth a visit, the boba is also pretty good
Very good food. Very attractive food. 5 stars all day long. Very good service. Very good chef.
Quite literally the best spot in the area for Asian food.everything is always delicious and they have a variety of things most places around here don’t have.their ramen is absolutely delicious and always hits the spot.the staff is kind and is always working super hard.
We tried multiple sushi places in Scranton area and AKI is the best! Always Fresh sashimi, the fish is delicious never stale. Salmon teriyaki is the bomb! We go there every week. Overall food quality as good or even better as some of the best NYC sushi places!
First time visiting the restaurant and had an order of gyoza (dumplings) and a bento box which came with miso soup which came out before the bento box. Ate the gyoza too quickly before I realized I should have taken a picture. Everything was delicious! The place has a great menu with lots of choices, food was great quality and service was nice. Highly recommend Aki and will visit again.
In any resturant concisintcy is key. Every dish, every time, always right, always excelent. I am always happy with my meals and experience both eat in and take out.
When the lock downs started in 2020, Over night Aki remolded to provide take out with zero contact and zero comprimise. Converted served meals into thoughtfully constructed take out dished. They figured out how to maintain their quality in the worse of situations.
The staff is always plesent, the facility is always clean. The price is worth the quality.
It is a cozy and clean restaurant. I like how they remodeled the place. Prices are about average for the type of food they serve. I had the Teriyaki Chicken. It came with a salad with ginger dressing. It was a good ginger dressing with a touch of something a little different in it than I am used to. Whatever it was, it was good. It also came with Miso soup, but I ended up trading my son for his clear broth soup because his clear broth had too many mushrooms in it for him. It had a lot of flavor to it. The chicken was served on a hot skillet with the sauce rapidly bubbling. It was a large portion of chicken with a nice amount of scallions and onions under it. The sauce had a nice consistency (it wasn't watery, but not gravy like) and flavor that was just right. Everything was fresh and good quality. My son liked his soup and California rolls. The only thing he mentioned is the rolls came apart easy when trying to eat them with chop sticks. He had no problem when using his fingers. He also had Thai bubble tea with bobas. I tried it and it was delicious. We might just stop by for a bubble tea to go every once in a while. Overall, I really liked it and will be stopping back to try the Yaki Udon.
-Update-
The Shrimp Yaki Udon is delicious. There are a few more shrimp under the noodles in the pic that I dug out while I was eating. Just like last time, my plate was clean when I was done. My son loves the California Rolls. I tried a coconut with milk bubble tea and it was delicious. They are huge. I didn't finish it, but they have to go cups. Service was excellent. I am told that these are the employees (not owners) from another place that closed because the rent was suddenly jacked up way too high. They banded together to start their own restaurant. Their quality food and pride in their restaurant show that they are invested in this place. I hope they are around for many years to come.
2023 and still good. No more skillets. Just regular plates.
Everything was fantastic! We ordered a Sushi Party Platter, crab Rangoon a, fried dumplings, two jelly teas, and one of each of the following Bento Boxes: Beef Teriyaki, Salmon Teriyaki, Shrimp Teriyaki, and Tempura Chicken. We intentionally ordered more food than the four of us could consume, but that was intentional. We had two solid meals and there's still enough for a lunch.
Tom yam soup was excellent. Wonton soup also very good. We shared 3 rolls, spicy yellow tail, salmon lovers and the spring mountain. All 3 we're excellent flavor and presentation.
We had a fantastic lunch at Aki, sampled as much as we could and everything was delicious - tom yom soup, crab rangoon, fried shrimp shumai, pad thai pineappke, sushi ans rolls! The staff at Aki really delivered great service. First of many visits for us!
