One of the few places with gluten free/ vegan options in the area and everything was delicious!

Futomaki and other rolls were great as was the tempura appetizer. Tempura Banana dessert was excellent.

I used to love this place but refuse to do takeout sushi. We spent 1000s a year going here for bdays and special events before covid. I guess they're never going back to dine in. So sad. We will never go back.

Pretty disappointed, drove here only to find out it to go only. Should update online and let customers know!

Called several times, went to a generic Verizon voice mail box that didn’t seem to get to the restaurant. After reviewing, saw that they were still listed as dine-in and drove all the way for them to tell me they were only take-out.

Their sushi is amazing! Buddha Roll is one of the best I’ve ever eaten. Definitely recommend.

The only reason they don't get 5 stars all around is because they're only open for take out only. The sushi was amazing! I love sushi and have ate a lot everywhere I've lived. This was the best I've had yet! The flavors were on point, and the fish was fresh. I would recommend Akita to everyone.

The menu in their restaurant they're handing out say one price then what they charge. When questioned the bill, they say price increase.
Change your menu then!

Food has always been delicious. Was told it will be 45 minutes and yet took almost 2 hours. Sat in the parking lot waiting. Was told my order is big so that's what took long. That's bad business. Tell me truly how long, don't lie just to get business

I order from there several times a week. One problem is the mango sauce sushi. The menu does not indicate onions are mixed into the toppings. Yuk!

I’ve only ever had their hibachi delivered and it is spectacular. Portions are generous and flavorful. Packaging is perfect. Better than some hibachi I’ve had on site at other restaurants. I’ll add pics the next time I order.

Akita is take out only. I didn’t try their food because no one came to the barricade they have set up at the entrance vestibule.

The sushi and hibachi from here is very sub par. Did not get sick from any of the food but the hibachi noodles were terrible as was the hibachi rice. The sushi rolls were alright if anything and sloppy. Will definitely never order from here again which is a shame because I work 5 minutes or so away from them. You would be much better off to get sushi from Wegman’s or Osaka in Scranton. This place is a swing and a miss.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of the sushi dishes. Was not expecting much in a smaller town, but the fish was fresh and the sashimi cuts were good and thick. The tamago in the chirashi wasn't up to standard, but otherwise very little to criticize. An absolute gem of a bargain to satisfy your sushi craving.

The service was quite fast and the workers were very nice. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

My clients were in the mood for Japanese and picked this spot. They called in the order and I wanted the shrimp teriyaki. When I arrived I parked in the plaza lot. When I walked in they were not permitting anyone inside. The lady came and took my payment and I left. When I ate the food was very good. I liked the teriyaki sauce. The shrimp was cooked well and so were the vegetables. I had a good experience.
