Worst place to buy live poultry. The two African guys are rude and won’t even talk to you. One of them was ignoring me and was just talking on the phone and there were few guys waiting. Ruined my Eid day. Highly recommend Saba Halal live poultry. I went there after this unpleasant visit. Their customer service was top notch. They were updating me all the time when the meat will get ready plus per pound of lamb was 50C cheaper. The guy even brought the meat to my car. How nice.

The customer service was great and they give me my meat on time. The best place for meat in philly.

Their services getting poor and they charges getting increased. Previously they charge $2 for roast 3 duck, now they charge $6 for roast 3 duck, I asked why you charged $6 they need gas to roast, aren't they need same amount of gas to roast 1 or 3 duck same time?

Worst customer service. I went early morning on Saturday  (04/18) I want to buy some meat I asked the guy he is in the counter weighing the meat he was very rude. After weighing the meat I asked me to cut the meat small sizes he refused the cut meat after I left the shop and I went to the Mecca Market. The meat is the mecca market is very clean good customer service and prices are cheap too.

Stop eating innocent animals.you eat pigs, cows, and chickens, but would you eat a dog, a cat, or a hamster? Let alone look into its eyes and murder it? You are disgusting, stop polluting the world with cruelty and murder.whoever is reading this, i once ate meat too, but please please consider stopping.it will change your life for the better.do it for the animals, your health, and the planet, i have faith.

Less priced fresh meat. Can be a little bit cleaner for sure. Still very good quality meat. Locality and stuff is little cranky.

Very very poor customer service, never maintain serial even they have token system. I spend more than an hour for my chicken and when I asked to the lady (look like his wife) she said complain to him and I don’t care! No respect at all! Look like I’ve taken free chicken! I’ll never go there in my future also saying friends & relatives never go.

The quality of meat is alright. The price is a bit high (about $4.50/lb for chicken if you measure the weight after taking out the guts). The place is filthy with chicken poop everywhere and the floor is always wet and the smell is sometimes unbearable. There's ALWAYS a long wait (typically between 45 min to 1.5 hrs). There's favoritism; the workers will cut the meat of people they know before cutting yours, making you wait longer even if you came in earlier than those customers. And last but not least, there's an extremely rude woman who cuts the meat. You get yelled at for asking how much longer you have to wait. There's no way to know. They don't call out your number either when the meat is ready. So there's no way to know but ask, and that person is always angry. I feel bad that she has to smell manures of animals all day long but could at least try to smile every once in a while. Overall, not worth the wait in an unpleasant environment for that price.

I love to cook, so for all those who love the idea of fresh meat this is the right place. Though they only have a handful of animals. Another problem, they don't have any hard print prices posted and you'll have to ask how much for almost everything.

I ordered 10 chicken, I should get one free but after they put in the bags I found only 10 in the bag, when I go there back they told me I have to pick same kind other than I can’t get free one.but when I bought they told me hard chicken 5 each and baby chicken and medium buy 10 get one free, also there is no eggs in the bag, so make sure before you leave check your bag.

I walked in bewildered because I'm not use to seeing live animals in a store in Philly. I was kindly greeted by a store worker name dame that showed me the different meats, game, and poultry (including pigeon) they had to offer. I was quite impressed. I will be coming back in the near future to purchase something I'm not use to eating.

Fantastic collection of all different kinds of birds.
Place is smelly during the cleaning time before closure.

Overall this place needs a better system when serving customers. Works seems unfriendly the place is small and you can get pushed about while waiting for your meats. Overall it’s highly unorganized.

Today was my first time at Al Baraka. I had a great experience. Great customer service. Fast service. Great quality meat. I will return again.

That place is extremely clean compared to a few others i've been to, which I was quite surprised by when I got there. They were relatively fast with my order as well. I'll definitely keep ordering from there.

They have a nice variety of meats however they need to treat the animals better. So many animals stuffed in cages and some have bad injuries, also birds missing half of their feathers from either being stuffed into a cage or from other birds. I don't understand why no one reports this before. Most times the smaller birds look messed up and injured or ill in their cage.

Here you get the fresh halal meat and the meat is so tender. You have variety of live birds to choose from.

Filled with roaches beware! Chicken was missing it's toes it looked like it decayed off. I think it made me sick.
