Aladdin Restaurant reviews
17What an absolute delightful restaurant! Portions were perfect and flavorful. All served in a great environment and with friendly staff
Over priced and food was not satisfactory, platter doesn’t even have food enough for one person which is about $45, food is too much sour. I had tried many Mediterranean restaurant in other part of USA from east to west this one not even authentic Mediterranean food.
Extremely friendly staff and authentic and tasty food. Large portions for the price! Special dining space available for business meetings/ groups.
Dinner was okay. The weirdest thing is that you cannot get a sandwich while in the restaurant, only to go orders. Very disappointing to limit a menu and punish the people that are in the dining room and paying for the bottled water (no chance in getting a glass, you have to buy a bottle). A disappointing end to dinner was that the baclava was hard and did not have much honey.
I found this place to be pretty bland and very overpriced. Tea served from a can with no glass of ice.no thank you. Server was very nice, but seemed unaware that our food was taking FOREVER. Wanted to like this place, but just cant.
Stopped in for lunch. Food was good and plentiful although not as robustly flavorful as I expected. We asked for harissa to add some spice, which was not on the menu, but not uncommon to the cuisine. They didn't have it but provided American hot sauce, which surprisingly worked well with the tahini.
Atmosphere was nice and clean and traditional middle eastern music was playing. Service staff was helpful with the menu and went into detail with Turkish coffee. Napkins were sparse for a hands-on meal. Try the baklava.
50 minutes to get served, appetizer came with meal instead of before entrees. 1 incorrect meal served and 1 meal not served hot. Food was tasty but service well below expectations. Would not repeat until service improves.
My husband and I ate here for dinner before a concert and had a great experience! No wait, kind server, and the food came out fast & was delicious! We got hummus, veggie grape leaves and the beef shawarma. So much flavor!
The food is amazing! I ordered the Beef Shawarma with Hummus and Baba Ghanouj it was so good I had to come back the next day to try some more of the menu! The Falafel Super Duper Sandwich (Vegetarian), the Kibbeh Krass Maza, the Turkish Coffee, and the Amish Al Saraya (desert) were all so flavorful and definitely make me want to keep coming back to try out the rest of the menu
The staff was super friendly and made some of those amazing recommendations for me to try out. 10/10 definitely recommend
Sadly not impressed. The shawarma was bland, lukewarm and tasted more like unseasoned fajita chicken from a grocery store frozen food isle.
Also, they did not serve any pita with the dinner.
Also, the restaurant does not serve water; you have to buy a bottle of water, so make it last. (What restaurant does not serve water?)
Also, the place was so cold that by the end of our meal we were ready to run to the car just to warm up.
We had eaten here several times a few years back and loved it; and then we went back last week (early Dec ‘22) …We will not be returning. Sad to see another great spot turn sour.
I am Lebanese and love my Arabic food, but to charge $17 for a falafel sandwich and $2.75 for a can of Pepsi is by far highway robbery.
As much as I love the food I can do without the prices. X marks the spot.
We took my mother there for her birthday tonight. Great food and wonderful experience, everyone there was so nice and helpful.
We highly recommend Aladdin.
Absolutely the best hummus I have ever tasted! Friendly staff! Clean restaurant! Fresh food! So many options to make even the pickest of eaters happy! Will definitely return and possibly use you to cater future events!
This was my first time trying Middle Eastern food and it was absolutely amazing. The food was great! I highly recommend Aladdin.
When I pay $27 for chicken I expect to see it being freshly prepared, on the grill, not taken out of a bucket all chopped up and reheated. Not to mention, I don't even know where I could pay that much for a chicken dinner, (shame on me). The food was obviously not good, not being freshly prepared. This spot used to be amazing, don't have a clue what happened.
The food tasted horrible using supermarket shelves Pita bread, and charging 17$ for a falafel sandwich is outrageous! At least the taste should’ve been good! And 25$s for 4 pieces of chicken breast is really not what Mediterranean food is about! People need to try real Mediterranean food!
I grew up in Detroit. This place is as good as anything on Michigan Avenue in Dearborn. Favorite restaurant in Berks.
The place is always empty. I am terrified of the day I am going to pull in and see it closed. This place is too good for Berks County.
