Hidden gem! Great for getting back to nature, hiking, relaxing, picnics, and seeing some of nature's finest.

A beautiful place to spend a few hours. Deep in the mountains is Alan Seeger with it's 118 acres of old growth Hemlocks. It's a dark lush area with Detweiler Run and Standing Stone Creek passing through creating a fairy tail-like setting. It's never crowded and always well maintained. I try and visit at least every other year.

Beautiful and easy hike. Bridges (both wooden and stepping stones) were just difficult enough to challenge my 3 yo. The drive there took a while, but it was worth it. We should have brought lunch to ear at the picnic area.

Beautiful spot for a short hike. Walking beneath the tall pines is a nice way to cool down in the summer.

I love it out there! Quiet, serene and you actually get to get away from civilization. Beautiful! Absolutely wonderful!

Though the 500 year old hemlock has fallen, there are still a ton of gorgeous trees upwards of 200 years old. Such a gorgeous forest. I can't wait to visit again

Very beautiful! We went on the short hike. There were gorgeous towering trees, a tunnel of rhododendrons, and 3 bridges. Wonderful as a short family hike or for forest bathing.

Short, easy trail. Beautifully overgrown with laurel. Small picnic area. Very peaceful and serene.

Really nice place to bring a picnic, has two pavilions next to the streams that you can listen to the streams running while you eat. Nice place to go fishing with great clear streams

Been coming to this park since I was a child and it amazes me every time. It is literally a breath of fresh air walking through these woods. There is a very nice trail that is a few miles long as well.
