Allegro Restaurant reviews
19Excellent food and service. Veal was superb and the sauce was so good I sopped up every bit of it. Wedding soup was also superb and raised the bar for others to meet. I also recommend the lemon cake for dessert, if you have room. (I took mine home.)
Wonderful food & great, personable service. Feels like an old time, local family restaurant. Not many left! Delightful. We'll definitely come back.
Loved every bit of this place. Great employees and food, chef was very accommodating to special orders and executed it perfectly.bravo
The waitress was really nice and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was really good and cooked just right. The atmosphere is really nice and not really noisy. It's pricey but worth the money to have a nice place to go to have a fancy dinner for a special occasion.
I went here for a dinner with my work, I have the chicken allegro, which was amazing really buttery, along with the broccoli and baked potato, I have a great waitress her name was Cheryl, also I tried the cheesecake with cherries for dessert, definitely was filling to eat here but, on the expensive side. Definitely will return.
The Allegro's commitment to excellence was translated through the professionalism of the staff as well as the quality of the meal. My family and I enjoyed an overall tremendous experience.
The Salmon Oscar is my absolute favorite meal to get here. The complimentary veal meatballs are to die for. It’s an old school Italian restaurant and one of the best in town.
The service was amazing! Food was excellent and the price was very reasonable. We love great food and will be back for sure.
A+
Attended a Christmas Party here, and the food was outstanding. The salmon was cooked perfectly, the rigatoni was NOT over-cooked, the salad was fresh lettuce, chicken parm was excellent, the appetizer meatballs were very good.
And the servers were spot on with everything.
We were highly impressed with the entire evening.
Fantastic server and excellent food. I love how the pasta is cooked properly, not overcooked like most places. My rigatoni was a huge winner.
*This place is not for you, if you're a nickel rocket.
If you don't mind paying for quality, you will get what you pay for here. Best food, portions, and service in Altoona. You won't leave hungry, like you do from the other expensive places in town.
The food was good! The portions are small for the cost of a meal. Fyi The Manicotti are crepe and not pasta like most people will expect.
This was my first visit to Allegro and it won't be my last. The service was spot on and the food was delicious! I had the Chicken Allegro with a twice baked potato and veggies. It was so good! My husband had Chicken Marsella and his was also delicious! If you're ever in Altoona stop in for a wonderful dinner!
Everything was spectacular! Filet mignon melts in your mouth, our service was top notch. Thank you!
Food was delicious, service was friendly and efficient. We had a party of 12 and chose family style dining, which was perfect. Decor could have used a little upgrading due to some peeling wallpaper, but it's all about the food and staff and both were great!
Food was decent and atmosphere was good, but it felt safe. Like they were afraid of using garlic or spices.
The food is awesome, the staff is so nice, and the portions are perfect. First time here and I loved it. I will be back!
Great meal with family. Your staff was very kind and honest about their simplified menus for covid-19 policies.
Good food, great service. Would go back. The only thing that would make me hesitate would be the price.
