Allentown Municipal Golf Course reviews
13Super friendly, good service, good eats and fun of your a golf lover. There's something for every level/skill here.
Clean a very beautiful course. The pro shop was well stocked and had exactly what I needed.
The course we seriously one of the best I've ever visited. The bar and the restaurant were amazing, the pizza was well above average and among the best I've ever had. The service was bright helpful and fast. Had a fantastic time. Will be back.
Nice municipal golf course. Pretty easy course, so its great for beginners. People are generally nice as well. Driving range has mats, but many people hit from the grass right in front. The ball machine takes great cards, which is very convenient.
Fun straightforward layout. Course was well cared for. Pin positions range from reasonable to the grounds keeper had a hangover.
I don't know why I haven't played this beautiful golf course before. Well run and well maintained municipal golf course. Worth the drive to enjoy this facility.
Been playing for years, and conditions get better each year. However, there is no excuse for slow play and the management does nothing about it. It will be a scheduling conflict if you play here. There's a certain class of person that traditionally plays slow, don't fix ball marks, and spend $0 in the club house and restaraunts. You know who you are, and until the management does something about it, me and my friends will not be coming back.
Course is in excellent shape despite all the rain lately. Removal of some unnecessary trees had speeded up play. Reasonable cost.
I was very pleasantly surprised at the great condition of these greens. For a public course, damn nice!
Outside area is beautiful looking out over the golf course and the setting sun. Food is delicious and priced well
Played last Friday - was charge Holiday rate for Good Friday, despite pretty low crowds and still being in March, and on top of it found course to be a complete construction zone. Many areas under MAJOR repair, no restrooms on course, greens recently aerated and bumpy. Overall just not ready enough to justify charging full rates. I hope the tree removals and repairs all pan out and happen quickly, but will not be playing again there anytime soon.
Nice course and convenient location. Unfortunately, the pace of play is awful on busy days/weekends. I gave up on my last round there after playing 6 holes in 2.5 hours.
The food I ordered was very well prepared & served along with being delicious. The server was very pleasant & attentive.
The muni courses in Scranton and Wilkesbarre don’t even compare to Atown Muni. Layout just oozes classic 1920’s course (don’t know when construction) green complexes have a lot of character in addition to some beautiful homes around the course.
