After another company quoted me a ridiculous price of $981 to replace a broken spring, I submitted a request to Alliance for a quote online on Sunday evening. Rachel called first thing Monday morning and quoted me what I thought was a fair price. Due to a busy schedule, they couldn't do the repairs that day. Bright and early Tuesday morning Dave and Mike showed up. They both were personable, professional, and honest. They explained the options to me with no attempt to upsell or pressure me. Work was done promptly and professionally at the price I had been quoted by Rachel. I will use them again if I need garage door work and I would recommend them to anyone.

Hired alliance to replace a torsion bar spring which fractured and the door was no longer able to open. Their price was competitive. They originally installed the garage door and it worked fine for three and a half years. They sent technician Zach. He did a really fine job, explaining the work to me as he went along. He also took the time to adjust the door to make sure the tension was correct as well as lubricated all of the moving parts on the door. I asked him also to look at my third car garage door, which he inspected and check the tension as well as lubricated the whole door for no additional cost. I don't give out many five-star ratings but because of technician Zach, alliance is getting one today from me. I also appreciated the help of Rachel in the office who was efficient, courteous and was able to have Zack their technician to my house that very same afternoon. Good people up there at Hanover Pennsylvania, alliance doors. Same day response and went above and beyond to make sure the doors were properly working. Zach also informed me that they have two types of torsion springs, regular and high cycles to failure. The regular springs only give 10,000 cycles to failure. Next time I will be asking about the better quality springs, which are most likely made of a Superior Steel to yield a longer life. So if you are looking to replace your torsion springs, my advice is to get the higher quality ones which will last a longer period of time and have a much higher number of cycles to failure. They are unscrupulous with their business practices. They charged me $150 to come out to do the consultation. The garage door did not close after they did the work. They charged me another $50 to come back out. Use any other company. I will NEVER use this company again.
