Alpha Dental Excellence - Dr. Arpan Patel DMD

I have been a patient the last 4 months and at your first appointment, they take great interest in knowing you and what you look for with your dentist. This is all a show to appease to you. During the visit, which took roughly 4-5 hours, they did a thorough exam on what was required, completed a root canal and went over what overall work was required. Since then, I've been there three times counting my first visit, once was to replace my temp crown with a permanent one and to do a deep cleaning. I called multiple times and every time I have the calls being answered by an answering service who takes my messages. I finally got through to the practice today and asked for them to email or mail me my current statement showing my payments so I can send it to my HSA to verify my transactions. They told me it would cost $10 and I would have to pick it up in 5-7 days. When I told them that they were not treating their customers right by charging them and not even emailing or mailing the requested document, Ashley, who I spoke to, argued with me that they are within their rights and I should not feel that they are giving me a bad customer experience. The last time I would be interacting with them is when I pick up my statement which they said they'll call me to let me know when its ready (it takes 5-7 days to print it). It feels like this practice is out to make money.

I came across and called Dr. Patel’s number on a Sunday at dinner time amidst an impending snow storm in a panic after calling several “emergency 24/7” dental providers that apparently only treat emergencies during bank hours. I was already blown off by provider who did my original extraction 5 days earlier even after advising his on call office manager that I was experiencing excruciating and progressing pain and swelling at the site of the extraction and I just knew something was wrong.
When Dr. Patel’s office manager, Monique answered, I was desperate and had already been seen in the emergency room. To hear her say “yes, we are open now” brought such relief, I literally sobbed to her on the phone. The “oral surgeon” who did the extraction didn’t even have the courtesy to call me personally. After calling his emergency number first, his non-medically trained office manager said she would call me in something stronger for the pain and see me Tuesday, as they were closed Monday for the snow. Dr. Patel called me personally after never having met me before and could hear the despair in my voice. He apparently also knew something was wrong with what I was describing so he literally left his family and young children on a Sunday in the middle of a snow storm and met my husband and me at his office within the hour. After an x-ray and a CT of my teeth, he discovered that the provider who did the extraction left a large piece of tooth in underneath my jaw bone that was causing a massive infection. He literally had to re-open the wound, remove the bone graft I had just paid $760 for 5 days earlier, remove the left over piece of tooth and irrigate out the infected area. He then had to write me a prescription for a stronger antibiotic and pain killer. Despite what ALL of these negative reviews state, he or his office manager Monique did not ask me for one red cent. They didn’t ask for a blank check or a credit card. All she asked for was my insurance card, and added, “don’t worry about the payment right now, let’s just get you out of pain. ” There is not a review on here that is going to convince me that these guys did this for the money…. And even if they did, well God Bless them, they deserve it for treating an emergency the way it should have been treated! This shouldn’t even have happened in the first place, and he should not have had to leave his family on a weekend at dinner time during a snow storm to clean up someone else’s mess!
This exceptional care and compassion is rarely seen anymore, trust me, I’ve been in the health “care” industry for 30 years.
Dr. Patel is an extraordinary, above and beyond true healthcare professional, so is his office manager, Monique. They were compassionate, professional and kind. They never once made me feel bad for bothering them. I will be making sure to recommend his services In the future to everyone I meet. Thank you Dr. Patel for your sense of urgency in treating my dental emergency and unbearable pain. You are a true angel. If you need emergency dental care or dental care in general please does it Dr. Patel he is the best in the business!

Worst dentures I ever had. I wasn't happy with the dentures but the girl who took care of me had me sign to say I received the dentures. With the denture process I saw the Dr 2 times. Also had crown bridge work done at that time and that cost $5,000 dollars and about 8 months later it came off and they would fix it unless I replaced it for another $5,000.

They are scammers, I didn’t know anything till it happened to me, I just read the reviews! They open loans to get the money from people and they don’t finish their treatments. They told me I needed 2 implants, they offered me 0% interest 24 month loan. Then they said I didn’t need 2 implants, just one. I then discovered it was a 14,09% loan. They lied and now they are refusing to give me service and finish the implant cause they said I canceled 2 appointments without notice which is a lie! They lie to scam people an take their money. I made an investigation and open a police report and a small claim in court. They told me this company has been doing this for years and they change names when they the police try to catch them. Be careful!

Update: Had a different tech for cleaning 3rd time. It was much better. Haven't had anymore billing issues since the first one. Otherwise clean and comfortable.

Billing is very sketchy. Was told I needed deep cleaning, they went over everything and I paid nearly $300 out of pocket. Was told everything is covered by that payment. Have the first cleaning done. Went in for the follow up had to pay about $20 for something fluoride? In the office. Then had an additional 2 more bills mailed to the house that were urgently due upon receipt for something else that wasn't covered. About $80 more. The 2nd tech that did my cleaning made me very uncomfortable with the way she spoke to me about my teeth as well as other medical issues. It was also uncomfortable total disregard for my sensitive teeth/gum areas.

Alpha Dental Excellence is by far the best dentist office I have ever been to and I have been to many! From the beginning of the visit until the end you are made to feel completely comfortable and top priority. Dr Shah is super professional and makes sure to give all dental options and walks you through all steps. I love this place and would recommend to anyone!

I can't say enough about Alpha Dental Excellence. I phone with an emergency and spoke to Carlos who was able to get me an appointment within a half hour of my calling. The staff Petra, Robert and Dr. Mandiga were wonderful in helping to take care of my emergency. The office is beautiful and very modern. Very happy with the care I received.

It's a different place for great dental care. When you walk in you may think that you're on Park Avenue in New York or Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.
None of that means your expenses will be from those high end practices.

But the practice is state of the art with the newest gadgets and diagnostic tools that you would find in the Park Avenue Dental practice.

The staff is friendly and efficient and work hard to make you have an on-time appointment with your hygienist or Dentist.

Tawanna is my hygienist who did such a great job cleaning my teeth and gums. I didn't even recognize that I had gum issues, since there was no bleeding, only inflammation. In six weeks I have had my gums looking nice and a healthy pink again.
From the time you walk in the door everyone is cordial, there are no long waits for a doctor or a hygienist and they realize your time is important too. Thanks for a pleasant experience! I'll beg back!

Best experience at the dentist. All my doctors and nurses were amazing! Best dentist office i have ever been to everyone was all so nice and welcoming.

Horrible finance lady.i asked one of the ladies in the front to speak to her about a simplest questions i had without any acknowledgement she told the lady in which i could hear her “No” but thats not how she greeted me when she singed a 3000 plus loan.very rude staff i am sorry everyone will have bad days but i have never seen such cold staff anywhere.dr.there are nice but what a horrible person to run your finance

All I have to do is say one name. Tawayan. She is a hygienist at this practice and I have to she is seriously awesome. She is kind, she knows how to educate you and keeps you informed on everything she is about to do. If all else go there and experience her amazing customer service.

The folks at Alpha dental excellence are the absolute best at what they do very professional and they care about you and your specific needs. I would recommend to all my friends and family. And Kylie is the the kindest hygienist I have ever met

I came into Alpha Dental Excellance today for an emergency visit, and I had the pleasure of being srviced by David Tha. I can't thank him enough for the time, attention, and care that he took in for me, in such a busy office. I am beyond satisfied, and it goes to show that an individual can make a huge differerence in a work place.
The doctors were also kind, as always. They accomodated me immediately without fail.

At first, the office appears nice.
-then they kept up selling screenings & testings that were not necessary
-2 of 4 fillings fell out in less than a year
-I had money owed to me on my account and I called at least 3 times in the past couple months to arrange some way of getting it back; no one ever called back
-requested twice to get our recent x-rays sent to a new dentist office; never happened

I rarely ever write reviews but I thought others should know my experience. I am very disappointed.

This office never disappoints!
Always professional and always on time with scheduled appointment time. Every staff member is friendly and acts genuinely interested in me. Dr. Polak's skills are great!

Alpha Dental Excellence is a very professional, organized and clean establishment… I love how caring the dentist staff are, and very much helpful. I never wait long which is great. The Dentist did an excellent job!

Tawanna was a patient, gentle hygienist. Always had anxiety with going to the dentist, she put me at such ease. My visit went so much easier than in past experiences.

Me and my mother came into Alpha Dental today: I saw Dr Polak and i have to say he was amazing. Michelle his, assistant was great. And Cherly the financial coordinator was so great i highly recommend this practice to any who is looking for a great dental practice.
