Alpina Ski Shop & 940 Snowboards, White Haven PA

Needed warm snow boots and waterproof gloves for myself. Walked in through the front door. Was greeted by smiles and a genuine hello. The nice people informed me of the 30 percent off sale and promptly checked the inventory for my size of men's boot. (14 mens) i was over the moon surprised to find out they had them in stock. Right price and color. Sold!
With all that aside.
Even before i was acknowledged with excellent customer service and a friendly smile... They had a beautiful beautiful beautiful dog. A dog with a tennis ball. A dog with a tennis ball that was friendly as the day is long. A dog with a tennis ball that wanted to be petted in between throwing the ball and shopping. Not ashamed to say that dog made my shopping experience so much better than i was expecting.

Thrilled my heart to see the owner toss the ball around the shop as i tried on the boots.

I got waterproof boots. Check
I got waterproof gloves. Check
But more importantly, i got to pet and play with their friendly gorgeous dog.
Cant find that online!

This local shop has the most helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff. From renting equipment to finding an inexpensive pair of snow pants when you left yours at home or would only be using them once. To restaurant recommendations, mountain recommendations and things to do in the area.
Their professionalism is far above other small businesses.
I watched tourists abuse the employees because they neglected to return their equipment in a timely fashion and refused to pay for the additional days rental because they couldn’t get up early enough to return the equipment so the shop could rent it to someone else. Even though these patrons were at fault and verbally abused them, the grace that these owners exhibited was extraordinary.
Any negative reviews of this shop are from “THOSE” people who feel if they are rude enough and make enough noise, they will get what they want or they feel they are entitled to.

I came in this past weekend. It was my first time skiing. I asked the man behind the counter a simple question. He actually laughed in my face, then slammed these ski boot rental things on the counter before just walking away! What a jerk!

Small shop but selection is pretty good. If you need it, they probably have it. Prices are good, as well. Staff is very friendly.

Wow super friendly folks. Plenty of variety for all your winter sport needs A bit light on stock at the end of the season as expected but prices were within reason.

I’ve been going here for stuff since I was a kid, and now bring my kids here to get stuff.

Kim and Dieter are great people with awesome service and are beyond knowledgeable in all things they have in their shop.

They are the best of the best!

I travelled quite a bit to buy new skis here based on past reviews.clearly those reviews no longer apply as I was met with horrible customer service.

I picked up my new skis and took them for a spin on the local mountain. It was less than one day before I noticed that the back of the binding began coming apart from the ski.

Naturally I took it back to the shop. And they told me that there are parts missing. They said I'd have to buy new bindings. On the same day that I had picked them up! Not sure how they can live with themselves after blaming me for their shotty craftsmanship.

Taking my business elsewhere. So should you!

This is not a mistake Kimberly! I dont know why you insist on misleading potential customers.

I always have a pleasant shopping experience at Alpina. They have a wonderful selection of ski gear for women. They carry a great selection of Nils, Krimson Klover, UnderArmor to name a few.
Dieter is great for ski or snowboard questions and he is a master boot fitter for custom fitted boots.
I highly recommend going to Alpina 940 Snowboards for your skiing and or snowboard needs. They treat you like family.

The people is really nice and kind, I love te dog. We were looking a snowboard jacket because my friend forgot her, but here we found a nice one for good price.
And they rent equipment too.

Kim and Dieter provide amazing service on everything ski related. They have an excellent selection of ski gear and ski clothing. They care about their customers and ensure they get the best gear and the best service. Dieter is an expert bootfitter that can fit difficult to fit feet and always makes sure that the best boot fit is achieved. I highly recommend Alpina ski shop to any skier beginner or expert.

Alpina was exactly what our first time skiers needed! A multi family trip requires lots of coordinating. We were able to rent for a lesser cost on Sunday night and avoided the crush of Monday morning. The entire staff was personable and helpful and even accommodated our late returns. Thank you for a great experience with real people.and Luna too!

Alpina Ski Shop is the go to for all your ski and snow board needs. Kim and Dieter are extremely friendly and welcoming. Their knowledge and expertise is unmatched in the area. They have a no pressure sales approach while clearly explaining all your options. If you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting them and patronizing their business you are missing out. Support small businesses and shop local, you won’t regret it.

First day skiing. Some words of wisdom from these Ski Gods took me home a Big Air gold 3 hours later. Cheers Alpina!

The staff there are very helpful we just got in from out of town and they helped us with our ski rentals and helped us with goggle purchase. Their prices are reasonable and they helped us help. Their dog is extremely friendly and we got to play with him too

The workers were very rude about business coming in. Our friend went to rent rent skis and the assistant left go into the store to wait. Then the manager yelled at us for being in the store saying that we slowed the process down. I would never bring any business here.

I went in with some damage to the rail on my board. I was going to have them repair it but sadly I didn't have enough time to leave it with them. They were incredibly nice and showed me how to repair it myself. If you want an honest shop that cares about their customers. Do not hesitate to stop in at this place!

Absolutely phenomenal staff and wonderful experience, were very helpful and very well priced. Would recommend Alpina 10/10 to anyone visiting the area.
