Al's Tavern, Altoona PA

Italian wings, absolutely amazing! Drinks easily increased price. However, mixed drinks large, worth the price. Appetizer about 8 minutes, meal about 14. Wings are like no other place, MUST try! Cajun fries w/ cheese great.

I’m biased because this is my hometown however, the food is outstanding. Service is outstanding. Guy Fieri would recommend this place hands down. Better food and prices than at his restaurants …seriously, we’ve been there. This place would be on my list, if I knew it would be my last meal.

Found this place online before passing through the area. Really great menu. Something for everyone. Casual but nice atmosphere. Many TV's. People were very friendly.

Sorry, i have eaten here before and was very satisfied. On Friday my brother and i had the hamburger special. The Carolina burger was the worst burger i ever had
It was so spicy hot that i feel we should have been warned when we ordered or the menu should have indicated it. The waitress was very nice and didn't know.

Bay Dry Rub Wings and Jerk Dry Rub Wings are some of the best I've tasted during all my travels. The sandwiches on the menu are also incredibly delicious. They have an extensive and ever-changing draft list. Although it's a bit pricey, I highly recommend adding Al's to your bucket list if you're in the area.

Al's is a must if you're even just passing through Altoona! The food was great. Great tavern atmosphere too. Definitely recommend Al's!

Great place huge beer selection and so many options on the menu. A must stop if in Altoona

The food was delicious! Fun and comfortable atmosphere. They messed up my order, so that's why I didn't give 5 stars. It happens when it's busy, but I got a completely different item than what I ordered. The chips that came with the Buffalo dip were awesome. The large fries are LARGE. The size is very sharable. Condiments for the subs come in separate cups so they don't get soggy. I will definitely be ordering from here again.

We ordered wings from here in many different flavors. Then drove by to pick them up. If we didn't have people waiting for their food back at the house I'd have stayed and ate here. The place was nice. Turns out the wings were pretty good too.

Was not happy place was to tight for seating could not move once you sit down got there at 615 it took until 640 to get a drink when we could order the food it took hour and half to get it the server took my bank card for payment came back with it and called me Patrick not Patricia then gave someone else's my card at the table.not happy at all will not come back thete again.

Always a great time here! The menu has alot of variety and the food is always delicious. Al's wings and sub dressing are incredible.

My buddy Matt is from Philly and he says there’s no good food anywhere else except Philly, and he swears by it. I invited him into altoona to try the wings here at als tavern bc I love em. The wings blew his balls off. He said they were the best wings he’s ever had and now he doesn’t know if he’ll be able to eat wings when he heads back home to Philly. Easy 10/10 definitely recommend

Cozy tavern with a bar and plenty of seating for families! The menu is surprisingly diverse, with options for everyone. The pizza is hand tossed thin crust and open flame baked. The fries are fresh cut, so they’re not my favorite, but they’re good. Hamburgers are enormous and the onion rings were delicious.

My friends did pre-game and we’re a bunch goofy dudes so I appreciate the waitress putting up with our nonsense as well.

Wings were bad this time two dry and burnt and frys were soggy maybe nexs time order something different

Always Love their wings. Anytime family is in town we pick Al's. Good food and Beer selection is great!

We stop at this place each time we are passing through town and it never disappoints. Staff is always friendly, beer selection is always good and food (specifically wings) are always amazing. The most consistent place I have been to-everything is ALWAYS good!
