Excellent staff service s soon as you come in the door. They are upbeat and friendly. Although x-Rays are generally uncomfortable, the care to make them as comfortable as possible was comforting and unexpected. Three location is close by and easy to get to. The cleaning was average. But I am a perfectionist and will travel over an hour to my other dentist for a cleaning in 3 months (yes I get my teeth cleaned 4x per year, lol).

Not good not professional in the least. Avoid if you can. Molar surgery resulting in loss partial gum.office denying.sending non existent bills.when I call back to question I get no response. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS "DENTIST".

This place is terrible! I started going here when I moved to Manayunk because it was close to my house. Each time I've come for an appointment I have waited for an hour past my appointment time. The receptionists and hygienists are very nice but it's a very poorly run dentist office. Also, I usually expect an appointment reminder when my 6 month cleaning is due. I had been getting them over the past few years but did not receive one last fall. When I called to find out when I was due, I was told that I was past due but that I couldn't be scheduled for an appointment for two months. I'm very dissatisfied and will not be returning to this office.

Same as all the other ratings.talked my into "scaling" and my teeth have never been right since then. They messed up my plate now it doesn't fit right. BAD. I went there cause they are the only ones who accept my insurance.which is another story all by itself.why don't dr.s and dentists accept people's insurances anymore.why bother having insurance. It's a joke.the whole thing is just a joke.

My wife and I just returned from our first visit at American Dental and our experiences were excellent, though prices were about 20% higher than we expected. Most importantly from the receptionist to the administrator and Dr.assistant staff, they were exceptionally courteous and knowledgable. I must say that our Dentist Dr Jae Kim was spectacular! Among our circle of friends and associations, both my wife and I value highly is the integrity and purpose expressed by a person. Dr. Kim was "Stellar" as a teacher throughout my procedure as well as a brilliant technician. Along with a great patient bedside manner, he proved himself quite simply as an excellant dentist. His skill performing my root canal (I've had 4 and 65 yrs old) was exceptional in comparison to all Dentist's before him. We would highly recommend this place and shall go back again for our additional work. At first when I read some of the older negative reviews from years past, we were a little nervous but they have obviously upgraded services. GREAT DENTIST!

Dont go here. First off they told me that I would have to submit claims directly to my insurance company which was a nightmare. Next thing I know is I get mail from my insurance company showing this dentist was submitting claims to them. I thought this was very fishy. I believe they do this because they want to sign you up for a credit card called CARECREDIT. They will also charge you in advance for things. I had to get three crowns and I was charged in advance which didnt seem right. When I got the first crown put in by Dr. Verma, my tooth became ultra sensitive, I'm not sure if it is normal for that to happen. They will suck the money out of you any way they can and do substandard work. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

I chose this office because it was not far from my daughters prior dentist who are no longer in the network. It took us 15 minutes to find the office because it was dark and there were no exterior lights. Once inside the office, it was clean, but poorly decorated and not comforting. The young ladies behind the desk were courteous. The dental hygenist was super nice and made my daughter feel comfortable. The dentist was also nice, patient and forthcoming of information. Even though I was not impressed with the appearance of the office and lack of exterior lighting, I would bring my daughter back based on good customer service.

I also agree with everything the prior 3 reviews are saying. I had a very similar experience. This was also accepted by my new insurance plan, and I thought since it had other offices in the US, it must be okay. I was wrong! I went there for what I thought was a routine dental cleaning visit (periodic oral evaluation). I was a new patient so I was expecting to also meet with the doctor (I only met with him for 2 seconds that day, and was not very friendly). I hadn't been to the dentist in over a year, and I told them that, and then the dental hygenist on call that day said I was required to get scaling procedures done and gave me a treatment procedure breakdown. I had never had any other denist ever recommend the scaling procedure for my gums done. I didn't get a second opinion, which I SHOULD have done, and $145+ WITH INSURANCE later and many follow up visits.here I am. I just got back from my new dentist, and they said scaling does work for people with SEVERE gum problems, not in my case eventhough it can be hereditary. I just think it's odd that the other people on this review page had similar gum issues. They also said that the special toothpaste they made me purchase is for people who have cavity issues, not gum issues, I only have one cavity! The person before one of my checkups for this gum procedure, I could tell had the same procedure done as he had the fluoride toothpaste & mouthwash they made me purchase, and the electronic toothbrush. They also made me get X-Rays that I had already done from another office that are valid for 10 years! (I also didn't realize this until I went to my new dentist).
