The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, I have an issue with their policy. My wife and I showed up together for our 6-month cleaning. When we arrived they asked my wife if she was pregnant (which she is). They told her they could not clean her teeth, unless she had note from her OBGYN. It is absolutely ridiculous that they would require my wife to get a note from her doctor. What happened to my body, my choice? I didn't know that my wife's doctor had control over her body. We are very disappointed in this inconvenience, and will start looking for a new dentist that respects my wife's decision to get her teeth cleaned.

I am terrified of the dentist. Everything about it scares me, the pain, sounds etc. I expressed my concerns right off of the bat and they were so kind. They explain everything they are doing and what your treatment plan will look like. I was just there for two fillings and hardly felt a thing! Dr. O'Neill was amazing as well as the whole friendly staff. My favorite part was not feeling judged, their drive to give their patients a smile that they love is so heartwarming. Can't recommend this practice enough!

I’ve been to this dentist practice recently as I had to find a new provider due to insurance change and this group is wonderful! They are extremely compassionate, friendly and ensure you are not in any pain during your treatment. They explain your procedure if one is needed (I needed a root canal and crown). I went to an endodontist for the root canal and here for all else. They were gentle and did a wonderful job with my temp crown. Dr. O’Neill is my provider and I love her. Will be back as soon as my mold comes back and then for a cleaning and to learn about whitening.

Highly unprofessional. They don’t care about their customers or the health of their teeth and mouth. I would not go here at all. I wish I would have went to a professional established dentist. Money hungry and unfair treatments. No customer service, unwilling to assist with serious matters. Stay away!

Great friendly staff but deceptive business practices. Let's begin this railroad. I went there with a tooth ache. First they advise you to get their supplemental insurance using a list of great pricing for joining. I paid about $100 + bucks for that. Cool. They told me I would need a cleaning the most expensive cleaning on the list was $200+ dollars. I was elated. After the assessment, I was told my cleaning would be $1200. Whaaat! Ok no problem I looked into it and found that others charged less but it was in the ball park so I paid them. I set a new appointment, I was told there is a $30 charge for no shows. I was late the first time called spoke with somone and was told it would be $30. No problem, I missed the second appointment. I called ahead of time to inform them I would not make it. She told me, "Your late fee is $120.00". Whaaat! Why? I was told it was $30? She proceeded to tell me they charge $30 per every half hour of your appointment. (deception) REALLY! You guys often give one price and then it's a different price when you talk with somone else. I like you guys, but please be up front with your customers or tgey will leave. I've been going to American dental for the last 20 years. It's time for a change.

Pros:
- Front desk staff at Phoenixville location are always welcoming and pleasant
- Scheduling is easy
- Appointment reminders are helpful
- Preventative care options (ex: fluoride treatments)
Cons:
- High turnover of staff
- Certain hygienists are far too rough, cut up gums
- Lack of privacy, all dentist chairs are in the same room
- Quality of dental work- filling breaks

Overall, I do not recommend this dentist. I have been going here for a few years and did not have any issues, until I had to have a filling. The tooth had no pain going into it, and was marked as a watch from my previous dentist (switched dentists due to retirement). The initial filling fell out a few weeks after I got it, and the area remained sensitive. This pattern continued to a total of FOUR attempts fix this filling. I will say that the staff was always willing to get me in asap for these fixes, and that, since it was always recent to when the filling was done, the fixes were free of charge. The last fix did not have the "snapback" effect when they checked with floss (too much space left), yet it was cleared as ok. It immediately became a food trap, and the sensitivity to temperature never went away. Now, it is broken again, and it is worse than ever pain-wise. For the record this was filled in May and was completely broken by August, so it did last a little longer. I'm now concerned about how this is affecting the overall health of the tooth/gum area around that tooth. I will be switching dentists.

This place is horrible with bad cleaning practices. The nurses follow bad cleaning practices and have no concern for your comfort or pleasure. Do not go here for your dental needs the customer service is awful and the office is very small. If you want to bleed out of your mouth and constantly be in pain while getting a simple cleaning go to this practice!

No time to wait, was seen immediately, very courteous and precise attention to take care of all that was needed. Everything completed very efficiently and I walked out feeling great.

This is the best dental office I have been to. Very caring individual care and attention. Plans of action to be proactive with your dental health. Very gentle and patient. Patty is the best hygienist I’ve had and really talked to me about everything in detail and was very caring and informative. Dr. O’Neil is very pleasant and easy to talk to. I am so glad I found this practice!

The Phoenixville office was amazing! The staff are very friendly and listened to all of my concerns and gave me every option possible. I’ve never had a dental office show me this type of care! It was like being part of a family!

They saw me quickly and the office visit was very friendly; however the dental work was not extremely reliable. A composite bond fell off within 2 days of their initial work, and when I went back, they immediately addressed the issue and Dr O'Neill handled the entire procedure herself. However, this composite bond looked a lot more visible than my others, began chipping immediately, and also broke within 2 months. Very friendly staff, but unfortunately will be visiting another dentist.

This place is very unprofessional. I received a quote for a retainer. It was not the same price when I went there. I requested a call the next day to discuss this. No one called me back. By the time I did get a hold of someone, they were not helpful in adjusting the price to the original estimate though Per them, no one should be giving estimates over the phone, though again no rectifying this. I will get my retainer at this point because it’s made, and never go again or recommend this facility.

We had a great experience today with Dr ONeill and her staff. My daughter had 2 cavities filled with no problem. She is only 12 and is nervous with needles. They made the dentist visit not so bad for my daughter. Thank you!

Terrible experience. Went in for a routine cleaning, ended up being told that I needed a crown; which was poorly planted, required shaving, and became infected. More unnecessary procedures booked for them = more money out of your pocket. The dentist also brought her child in due to a lack of child care coverage on multiple occasions.incredibly unprofessional and unfortunate for her children. Save yourself and find a new dentist.

Find another dentist! What started out as sensitivity when flossing a tooth and a cavity replacement, ended up as a root canal and crown. I had to get antibiotics as it became infected and the temporary crown was effecting my bite so I had to go back to get it ground down. I might also add that the real crown fell off yesterday, which means it lasted 4 months. I thought it was ridiculous when they offered a year or two warranty on the crown, for an additional fee, as I have had one for 10+ years with no problem. Why would I need that? Clearly this is an option to get more money from you and because they can't stand behind their work. I also received an additional bill for several hundred that I was not initially informed about. I will not completely blame them as that could have also been an insurance issue but either way, it was not as affordable as I was told. Everyone was nice but they do not know what they are doing. You only have 1 set of teeth. Spend a little extra to preserve what you have. I wish I did.
