Why doesn’t the manager get fired after COUNTLESS complaints about him below? We have been calling to have our couches replaced as we have the warrantee. The person answering the phone keeps telling us to call different days, 3 times we called and “the manager isn’t in” although we think it’s the actual manager answering the phone every time. LAZY. Now they must have caller ID and they refuse to answer our phone call. We will be emailing the email that the owner provided to all the other bad reviews but if we still don’t get a response we will be filling small claims court. TERRIBLE BUSINESS! DONT GO HERE!

At the beginning of November I purchased a bedroom suite, and set up a delivery date for the next week. I was told my items would be delivered between 12pm - 5pm, but the items never came. At 5pm I called the store and was informed a delivery driver quit and we set up a time for the items to be delivered the week of Thanksgiving. The week of Thanksgiving came and I called only to be told again they couldn't be delivered but they would be working with another store deliver items and I would be called. It's now over a month, I still don't have my items which I have already paid for. No communication for the manager even after contacting corporate offices. Any communication that has been made I have had to initiate myself. At this point I have paid for items which have not been delivered over a month later and the store refuses to communicate with me. I am left with no option at this point other than to take action from a legal standpoint to rectify this situation.

If you need furniture there are plenty of other options. Save yourself the headache of dealing with these people and having them take your money with seemingly no intention of delivering a product. I've bought furniture from Big Lots in the past it's inexpensive and good quality. There other routes to take to purchase furniture. Just make sure those routes are away from this store!

This store is terrible and the manager Mike is awful and unprofessional. Did not deliver my order on time and never even called me. When my items were finally delivered I did not receive the full set to my dining room table. I wanted to cancel this terrible order due to the lack of customer service and Mike said that is not possible and the rest of my order would be delivered the next day. Then when he dropped it off he said I would get my delivery fee refunded. These people are terrible and the customer service tuh there isn’t any. Trying to get in touch with anyone good luck they don’t answer and they do not care. I had friends interested in purchasing from here and I let them know to go elsewhere and they did. I will never shop with this unprofessional company ever again.

Yes I ordered a dresser for my son’s room and it never came even though it had 3 different delivery dates and when I ask for a refund I wait the 3-5 business days still no refund and when I call customer service they got my card number wrong and now I have to wait almost 3 more days because they are wrong it’s not worth it just go to bobs or your local furniture store not worth the hassle

I ordered a bed frame online, when I got to the location I was informed the bed was not there. Mike was very understanding with my frustration and was so helpful and generous! I ended getting a bed within my budget. Mike is a wonderful employee there! I highly recommend!:)

Amazing customer service, very friendly and helpful. 100% recommended.great guys. Awesome prices. Only thing is our sectional was missing a bracket to hook the 2 pieces together

Save your money, time and blood pressure, go elsewhere!

I stopped in on 08/01/23 to see if they had the dresser and 2 nightstands I wanted on display, as soon as I walked in the entire inside of the building stank of pot, as someone who is allergic I knew my trip would have to be quick.
I walked the store and did not see what I was looking for so I went up to the counter and asked if they could check their inventory for the items before I purchased them. The girl told me they were in stock and the box was the size of the pieces. So I placed my order on 08/02/23 for pick up at the store and went down the next day to pick them up (08/03/23) with my car (mind you I was told they would be in a box and had to be assembled). I got there and they had me pull around to the back of the building, when they opened the door they started laughing at the fact that I had my car. Red flag number one. Then I get inside and they are trying to give me someone else’s order, I keep telling them that it’s not mine and finally it clicks with them. So they find my nightstands and they won’t fit in my car, but they can’t find my dresser or mirror. So fine I told them I’d be back another day with a rental truck to pick up the entire order. As I’m leaving the one girl comes up to the car and tells me it’s her fault for telling me the package size and that if I want it delivered the delivery is free. So I said ok let me think on it and try to get it figured out. Half an hour later I call back and tell them I want the delivery and wouldn’t you know I’m now being told to come back to the store to pay for the delivery, I told them what I was told and she said that the girl never told me that. Fine I rent the truck for the next day and go to pick up my entire order, now I’m dealing with the manager Mike. They still “couldn’t find the dresser” and I was sent on my way with the nightstands and told by Mike to give him until Tuesday/Wednesday and he will get it up to me and call me to let me know what’s going on. So both days come and go, I waited an extra few days and finally called them only to be told they could not find it and that they would refund me, fine, I’m really mad but whatever. So I’m the mean time I get my night stands out of the box and one of them is missing the feet so I go in store and get told I have to bring the entire thing down and switch it out completely. So I get it in my car drag it down and go back to the store. This time the girl meets me around back and sets her phone up on some boxes and starts recording me without telling me or even asking me! I was beyond uncomfortable.
Finally get that taken care of. 2 days later I get a call that they found the dresser but not the mirror and to give him (Mike) until Tuesday or Wednesday again to find it. So I wait and wait those days come and go and I hear nothing. So finally I called the other day and I was told he can’t find the mirror and he would refund me for it and get the dresser up to me 08/30/23 I said that’s fine, I won’t be home but they can leave it on the porch. The following day I got an email saying my dresser and mirror were refunded back to me, so now I have a refund, no phone call and the dresser was never delivered.
I will NEVER shop here again, I will never send or recommend anyone to this place, not even my worst enemy. No one knows how to make a phone call here, the girls need to be fired, they are rude, dress extremely inappropriately and record you.
As a manager in customer service I’m embarrassed for this store.

I love this place. Great furniture. Very clean and Manny always greets.helps.and makes sure we leave with a smile. I told my Dad about this place and he told his friends. You just wait all these other friends want to go shopping at your place too. Manny is great on helping and there definitely should be a Manny 2.3.4.and so on and so forth. I appreciate this place. More than 5 is deserved. Just don't ever lend him money you will never get it back. He will block you like a punk

Purchased a couch and bed in March 2023. Still waiting on my couch to be delivered. They first showed up with just the bed, and no couch. Then I’ve had 3 different delivery dates scheduled for the couch, and all 3 times, no one ever called or showed up to deliver. I’ve even spoke to the manager Mike, and still nothing was accomplished. Definitely the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. I have a feeling I’m also going to have a hard time getting reimbursement for the couch.

Do yourself a favor and stay far away from the Scranton location.

There are huge selections in the store, and if they don't have it, they can order it for you. Staff is really nice. Prices are really good. They also have an easy to apply for finance program.

I still haven't gotten my delivery an they don't even know where my stuff is no call or anything I literally went to the store and they just keep saying we still haven't talked to delivery team we don't know what happened to it or where it maybe I'm refuse to pay on merchandise I don't have

My family and I have been wanting a new couch and we tried to go the cheap route of buying something from Facebook market place.that wasn't working out to well. So we decided to take a look at what American Freight has. We walked in there and saw a few couches that we liked.we were not sure if it would fit in our living room so the women that helped us (I wish I had her name) gave us a measuring tape that we could walk around with until we were done deciding what we wanted. There was a couch we really liked but she said they didn't have any in stock the only one that had was the floor model. My husband said if they will take 20% off we will take it she said 15% and we agreed. The purchase took no time at all and my couch was delivered the next day. One of the smoothest purchases I have every made.

The owner was amazing She was taking care of all the customers. She was kind and helpful. The furniture seems great. The sofa we picked out was very comfortable. Will definitely shop here again.

Far more professional, and willing to help than the staff at the store that was vlosed in Vestal NY! Perhaps that's why the store was closed! Johanna and Stephen were AWESOME!
