American Heritage Property Management, Elizabethtown PA

They dont respond to maintenance requests fast enough. Just recently we had our water turned off for an emergency water heater replacement. It's been off since 1pm on Dec. 2nd.

Absolutely the Worst property management in Lancaster County. Penny is the most unprofessional individual to work with. Have had nothing but issues with the rental and it was not even a livable residence. Would NEVER recommend them to anyone.

The house we rent is beautiful. We’ve been here for 3 weeks now. Only things is maintenance has not been out to fix any issues. We’ve been hung up on by a maintenance employee named Sadie and also the property manager Jess. Maintenance issues include but aren’t limited to; exposed electrical on light switches, garage door doesn’t work, patio screen doors broken and dishwasher leaks.

Our portal is also out of wack and still shows we owe rent for May which we have proof of Payment.

I hate to leave a review like this but what option are we left with. It’s upsetting when answers aren’t given, you’re hung up on, and told their short staffed etc. Just makes us feel like no one cares, like we’re bothering them. Were disappointed by this treatment and lack of customer service

Absolute worst property management company to exist. Avoid them at all cost. You’re better off with any other company. No wonder they are losing all of their properties to other management companies. RUN from any unit they rent. I’ve worked in housing for 15 years and would never place any of my tenants with them. The place has tanked since Meghan has left. Take your business to her!

So far so good. I lived in this new place for a month as of yesterday. Encountered one issue a week in, but it was fixed same day.only thing I don't like is there are no lights in the living room and no window in kids room. Other then that.all is well.

Wouldn't recommend at all. Ask to have smoke detectors replaced. Never happened. Had to do myself. Asked to have roof leaks checked. No body ever did. I got hurt at work. Lost my job do to it. Was told they would work with me. Next thing you know. I find paper on my door telling me I need to be out in sixty days. After having hearing in DJ office. I get paperwork say I have to be out in 2 weeks. Now I have every thing in storage. With no place to live. Along with my mother who I had approved to live with me. Who is handicapped. Stay away from these a** holes! Update I'm being billed for repairs that were not needed. Even repairs that I done because they made no effort. Even repairs that were never made before I moved in. All they are con artists. Don't waste your time with them.

When first getting our place we were told no pet fees. Then when we started the lease signing process they told us there was a $500 pet deposit and $50 monthly. Obviously it would have been nice to know this ahead of time. There was also a $35 lease signing fee. Something they didn’t tell us about till we already signed the lease. Just a bunch of hidden fees. When we moved into our new place we had some issues with our heat and sink leaking. I tried calling Amanda multiple times and left voicemails. She never responded to them. My mother in law had to call the person who showed us the house and tell him we needed the things fixed. Then they tried to tell us someone else at the company was in management of our property not Amanda. We never spoke with anyone other than Amanda. We signed the lease with Amanda. This company honestly just feels like a rip off.

We have rented with this company for about 3 years and never had a problem until the last two months. We have had trouble with our toilet and bathroom and now we are still waiting for an email to fix our flooded bathroom.

Working with Amanda as a vendor with American Heritage has been great. Shes prompt on scheduling ahead with me and letting me know what work is coming up. If a problem ever arises she has been understanding and worked with me! Fast return on calls as well! Also super friendly!

Meghan was very helpful and efficient with our process. The house was cleaned well and fresh.
The community is friendly and inviting.

I have heard very positive feedback from a close contact and would have no problem dealing with them.

I have had the opportunity to rent 2 homes from American Heritage and they have been very professional and responsive. It has been a very good rental company to work with and I appreciate the work of the staff at the Elizabethtown office over the past 5 years.

I like renting from american heritage bc they are always on time and dedicated to what they do especially Ms. Meghan very productive keep up the good work

Meghan, from the very start, has been helpful and responsive. In a difficult rental market, she helped us find a home that fit our needs, has always been quick to address any problems that have arisen, and has been a pleasant voice the entire way. We looked at many properties upon moving to Lancaster and we feel very fortunate to have landed in a home managed by Meghan. She is the tops professionally and seems to genuinely care about the people in the properties she is managing.
