Chocolate Beer on Tap. Awesome feeling of belonging. No strangers here. And great food!

Post 831 American Legion turned our day on Christmas into a great day from a very long frustrating delayed day visiting my mother. The people and staff were wonderful, as was a free ham dinner to alleviate our hunger. E everything was closed BUT the Legion. If only you knew who all you took care of. Family veteran present was a USAF veteran during Vietnam, a son of a Lt Col in Baghdad Green Beret, a brother of a Marine, son of a USAF Flight surgeon, and nephew of an Army Ww2 surgeon that cared for Normandy soldiers on the English channel. God Bless you all for your hospitality to us while we Awaited a busy Dr. From Delaware, my sister to visit my 93 year old bedridden Mom on Christmas. Marlin

We were very disappointed. We have been traveling around the country and always stop in at the local American Legion. We have always found the bar tenders to be especially friendly, however this was not the case here. Oh she was attentive and saw when we were ready for another beer, but the only time she spoke to us was to ask for the membership card. She spent the entire time we were there, talking and laughing with a woman at the bar (a regular I am sure). So after three beers we left, and tried another one in the area and we received the welcome we are used to.
