I came here unexpectedly after finding an infection in my kitten that I adopted off of a high.

As of July 16th, the staff is absolutely wonderful. The front desk was super friendly and compassionate to not only me but everyone else. The techs that met with me were extremely nice. The actual vet was extremely thorough and took very good care of my kitten. The price for all that they did wasn't even that bad, especially for an emergency visit.

Overall, it's a great place. No one comes here for a good reason, but at least the staff seems to try to make all the customers feel a bit better. And the vets do a very very thorough jobs and that's all I can ask for.

I have utilized the Emergency Center a few times. They've streamlined their procedure for payment so you don't have to go over payment information before pet is seen. This is great, especially when pet is in crisis. The staff and doctor were
very knowledgeable and courteous. It is pricey, and I understand why. In an emergency situation, I'm glad they're there.

They took such good care with Bane (my cat.) He had us so worried but they kept him over night and he was back to his normal self the next day! Is it expensive? Well yeah it's an emergency hospital that's to be expected. Is there a wait time? Well yeah its an emergency hospital. They took him back right away to make sure it wasn't his bladder and something super serious and then we waited until it was our turn to be seen. It wasn't much different from going to a people hospital. I appreciated them so much! They were all kind and compassionate and that's what matters to me. While I hope I don't have the need to visit again, It takes a weight off my shoulders knowing they are there and will take good care of my animals!

Our 6 year old pup chomped off part of a corncob. We live in Berwick and called a local place who referred us to Stroudsburg. We ended up finding Animal Emergency Center and called to ask them their thoughts on bringing him in. The woman at the front desk answered and was so kind.so sighs, no attitude.just genuine care. We drove him to the center and they were all professional and caring - no bull, no extreme measures.just straight to the point. Our baby came home with us 90 mins after arrival. I can't thank you all enough for being available after hours when no one else is. In a world where customer service and animal care is hit or miss, you all nailed it!

This is a copy/ paste message I sent the Facebook page.

“Evening! I just want to say thank you for helping to care for my sisters dog when we brought him in last week. He cut himself severely while on a walk. My sister, brother and I brought him in for emergency care. The staff was very caring and professional. And when the estimate for treatment was higher than expected, the staff was respectable and worked with us on a price that was more in our budget. We are so greatful. We treat our animals like family and may seem strange to most but he is my doggie nephew. Thank you again for the kindness y’all showed! ️️️”

The lady at the front desk was horrible. I stood there sobbing with my dying cat in my arms, and as she was telling me the price to euthanize and cremate her, she stops mid sentence to ask her coworker if they were making holiday pay that day. She didn't show an ounce of empathy or care. At least wait until you get me taken care of to have your personal conversation.

Aside from her the rest of the staff was wonderful.

We brought our pup down, she had to have her ear stitched up. They were absolutely amazing with her, updated me thru out the entire time she was there. Great experience the whole time.

Very friendly, understanding, & compassionate staff. Our dog needed some special care that wasn't readily available through our regular vet. AEC Watsontown stepped up and gave our dog the care he needed. I highly recommend these folks.

This Emergency Center helped my best friend squeakers when he wasn't feeling well at all. He was throwing up bile and just not eating or acting like himself. All tests came back normal. I of course was a wreck as squeakers means the world to me just like my other two cats as well. Squeakers was a rescue and I formed a deep bond with him and he has been here for me through a lot of emotional and mental health issues. He has been doing better with the treatment that the Vet doctor had recommended which was a great solution. He is now eating, drinking, and initiating his treats. I recommended going here as they work with you also to help stay in a budget that you have as well. Thank you guys so much for helping my baby boy.

Very glad to of had a place to go in the middle of the night on Sunday for they helped our baby, Olaf with the discomfort of his pain he was in and found what was causing it. He is doing so much better and we are happy to see him being himself again. Thank you so much.

When my german shepherd required emergency eye surgery on a Saturday night, Animal Emergency Center was caring, confident, and forthright. They triaged as soon as we got there and were clear about further waiting expectations. Meds and aftercare were explained to us and its obvious the staff takes a genuine interest and pride in what they do. When the absolute worst happens, you needs the absolute best. ANIMAL EMERGENCY CENTER is that place. Thank you all

Silver lining in every tragedy.
I do a lot of fostering, one of my fosters came to me extremely emaciated and unfixed.
One week prior to the incident that lead me to Animal Emergency Center, she had a foreign body surgery. Due to her body condition I was shocked she made it through that one.
It was a Saturday at 3 am when I discovered she had an open Pyometra happening. I was desperate to find an emergency animal hospital that had a surgeon on site at that time. No emergency hospitals in my area had one. Once I called and found out they had one I drove an hour and a half to get to them. When I got there, there was a little bit of a wait until they were able to see her but that was understandable. Once she was checked in the staff was so professional, personable and incredibly compassionate. I was pretty certain we were pushing our luck and my foster dog wasn’t going to survive this surgery. They made one of the scariest and stressful moments of my life so reassuring.
After my foster finished getting checked in and got her blood work and X-rays done, it happened to be during their shift change. So the new vet made it a point to introduce himself and meet me. I really appreciated that. He was also very knowledgeable and put my mind at ease.
Throughout her entire stay at Animal Emergency Center they kept me updated via their text message line. The transparency and accessibility to communicate so easily was nothing I’ve ever experienced before. They texted me before she was going in to surgery, during her surgery, and after her surgery. She had to stay the night and following day for monitoring and they didn’t fail with keeping me updated. They sent me the most beautiful pictures of my foster pup and went the extra mile putting clothes on her to keep her warm when they took her out to potty and in her cage. It’s been a few days and they still keep in touch with me in regards to my foster to ensure she’s healing well. I’m really sad my foster had to go through this but I’m so incredibly happy I found this place. Worth the drive and I will definitely be going back if need be.

When Cornell DENIED me, I was in a panic trying to find a place that would take my 1yr old puppy in. It was a weekend, the gentleman on the reception end was very polite and sympathetic to the situation at hand. Long story short, my husky ate something she wasn't suppose to and she was having concerning gi symptoms, refusing food and very lethargic. I told them my budget because I had a limit until I got paid the following week, they said (and I'll never forget this phrase) ' We can work with your budget, all animals deserve care when they aren't well '. I almost cried because not all vets are like this. They weren't very busy but they let me know there may be 1 or 2 people ahead of me (30-1hr wait), I understood how triage works so this was not a problem. We get there and when we were called in they were very quick and prompt. Thankfully nothing life threatening, they kept her overnight to monitor her symptoms (fever, dehydrated, not eating, etc). I was able to get her the next morning as she had responded well to fluids and meds. They treated her so gently like she was their own. Granted they were an hour and a half drive from home, it was worth it. I will more then likely come here again (hopefully I dont!) and recommend them to friends in the PA area. * Photo attached is the next day, back to her goofy self and high energy! <3 She was so happy to have that toy!

I cant tell anyone enough of how great this place is. I'm an OTR truck driver and my baby girl was in need of a emergency vet. I called from Rochester new york all the way to watsontown PA. No one would take her. But this place did. And they were AWESOME. I will always recommend this place to anyone that is in the watsontown area. Thank you so much for helping me and Bella in need.

Brought my dog in for surgery on an aural hematoma (basically the ear becomes a blood blister). When they talked us into the $1100 surgery, it was toted as the "cure" that would "keep this from happening in the future". Just 10 days later, her ear is a balloon again. Called the emergency center, and the story now is "oh yeah, that can happen. We can do the surgery again for another fee. " ARE YOU KIDDING ME? IN WHAT WORLD WOULD I PUT MY DOG UNDER YOUR CARE AGAIN? Buyer beware- if you have ANY way to avoid these scam artists without harming your animal TAKE IT!

Thank you to Dr Neveu and the staff at AEC for taking care of our dog Obi. Obi randomly ate a large portion of a swimsuit and had a bowel obstruction. Dr. Neveu performed surgery on Sunday and Obi has been making an excellent recovery. Thank you again, and I am grateful to know that if we ever have another emergency, AEC is standing by.
