Apple Walnut Café reviews
20Nice place. Good food. Fast, clean and professional. They didn't have something on thr menu do they offered to just make it for me which was above and beyond.
Fantastic experience, food was great and our waitress Denise went above and beyond for us. Definitely recommend coming here.
Our first time here. Great experience. Our server, Denise, was incredible in her attentiveness and prompt service. Super friendly and welcoming to us! Food was awesome, everything was spot on
Fantastic restaurant. Always great food, big portions, and Fantastic server DENISE.
We dine there every week.
I want to shout-out to Denise. I want to order a mix of waffle and French toast that's not on the menu, and she is able to put in my special request. On top of that, when I asked for a take out box for left over, she asked me if I want some coffee to go with me, with NO additional charge! It's my 1st time dine in experience who offer take out coffee with no additional charge. So I just tips her more to show I appreciation.
I would rate five stars but I've been going here for quite some time and the food, while still good, is a bit more plain than it used to be. Service is fine, although they often have new people as there seems to be a high turnover rate.
It was our first time at this restaurant. It was packed, which is always a good sign. Our waitress, Denise was really personable and the food was great. We will be back.
Coffee was warm at best. Potatoes were cold. Scrapple was not cooked thoroughly. Butter was as hard as a rock. Toast was warm at best. Server never came over to see if everything was ok. Last trip there!
The food was great, but Denise’s service was the best. She helped us choosing what to eat and made the experience very enjoyable.
Best breakfast and lunch place around. Delicious food. The best pancakes and french toast. Great cakes. Nice owners and employees. I always leave happy and full.
An early weekday morning visit where we were seated promptly and then that’s about it… We sat for close to 15 minutes before a waitress came by to take our drink order, which we had to correct her as she read it back to us. And then she disappeared again and we sat another 7 minutes, yes we timed it at that point, until we decided to leave. I get your busy but other tables around us with guests who came in after us had beverages on the table well before us. This isn’t the first time we’ve had service like this and it’s beginning to become a deal breaker.
The food was quite tasty. The Jewish Apple Cake piece that give you to start.smh set the stage for the delicious food to follow!
Went to lunch with my sister and niece. Our wait person was Kim and she was fantastic! The food was delicious and we enjoyed our visit. We will be back @
This is a great place for a gluten free breakfast. I had the apple walnut French toast, fried eggs, ham, home fries and GF toast with jelly. It was all great, but the apple walnut French toast was the real standout. If you have Celiac disease and you're visiting Philadelphia, this place is worth the trip.
Great food and great service. This place is as close to a 5-star review as I can give without having fantastic coffee.
If you aren't picky about your coffee, consider this 5 stars, but the coffee is probably slightly below average.
First time there, ordered cinnamon bun french toast that tasted out of this world! My wife ordered French toast which was also a great flavor and tasty. Prices are slightly higher then what we're use to but the food very tasty and worth it also service was Great
Have just moved into the area with our new business Medical Optometry America and needed a good, clean, healthy food spot for our lunches. THIS establishment is just that! Started with the salads, fresh, crisp, delicious and cold. Yesterday we ventured with sandwiches, avocodo blt, and chicken salad sandwiches! OMG, as a picky eater with chicken salad I was blown away! Fresh all white meat, presented on white toast, lettuce and I got onions PHENOMENAL. Thank you to the staff and chefs who prepare amazing meals!
One of my new favorite breakfast places! The French toast is outstanding. If you go you need to try the Jewish Apple cake French toast! Potato latkes are also fabulous! Been here 3 times and never had anything that wasn't exceptional!
First time going but I'd go back if I'm in the area. Friendly staff and good food.
The only thing that was slightly confusing was the basket on the table when we sat down. After asking, we were told it was samples of their apple cake but it looked like they had forgotten to clean the table from the previous people.
What a strange experience the Apple Walnut Cafe is. First of all, "Apple And Walnut" is sometimes the business name and sometimes ingredients. The words don't seem related to the menu. The Apple Walnut bread has no walnuts. The Apple Walnut stuffed French toast isn't stuffed. The eggs Benedict has a choice of potatoes on the menu, but my potatoes were served and charged separately.
