Applebutter Inn reviews
20 Love the comfortable bed and pillows! Very clean. Easy to check in and lots of communication.
The hostess owner was lovely.
From my initial phone call asking for a room recommendation (they are all different) to the moment we walked out the door, the hospitality at The Applebutter Inn was personal and top level. The inn is cozy and attractive with several public spaces. Even after checkout time, our host let us stay in the sitting room and visit with friends who were not staying at the inn. Our room and bed were comfortable. You might find more variety at a hotel's buffet breakfast, but the family breakfast was enjoyable and personal. We truly felt that our host was happy to spend time with us.
I was fortunate to stay @ the Applebutter Inn in late November on a buisness trip layover. The rooms where incredibly clean and warm. The owner was lovely to talk to and was nice enough to pivot from the planned breakfast just for me! It was an incredible stay and would highly recommend it for any type stay!
We had a very comfortable stay at the little blue cottage on the creek! The house was clean and accommodating. I will definitely book here again! Thank you Applebutter Inn!
Great place for a night or a week. Bed was really good. Service was also. Beautiful house. And to top it off great breakasts.
Our stay at the Blue Cottage on the Creek was perfect! It was very clean, well stocked with all essentials and comfortable. The area is gorgeous, quiet and peaceful. Don't miss out and be sure to grab lunch or dinner at the Twisted Oak Tavern. Everything we ordered was really good. The wings are the largest and tastiest we have ever had! Everything about our stay was amazing and we can't wait to come back.
Such a lovely Quaint place to stay while in Slippery Rock. Each of the rooms is decorated differently and are very clean and comfortable.the breakfast is fabulous, and the innkeeper and staff are super friendly and helpful. I’m sure I’ll be staying there again next year.
Definitely a 5-star rating! The inn keeper was right there when I arrived, and greeted me with a smile. The room was so clean and beautiful, and the breakfast the next morning was perfect. I enjoyed chatting with others who were staying there as well. Definitely will stay again!
We had an amazing stay! The inn is beautiful and clean. The rooms and common spaces are wonderful. The innkeepers were so welcoming and responsive. They accommodated our request for an early breakfast and it was delicious. And the apple butter was the best!
The rooms were all lovely and decorated perfectly for such a charming, historical home, and everything was very clean. And our hostess Thistle was very welcoming. The road out front can be a little busy, but it was a nice place to stay while exploring the area. I would go back again!
My wife and I stayed at the Applebutter Inn while at Slippery Rock for a football game. Pre-arrival communication was excellent in terms of directions, self check-in instructions, and so on. Thistle actually met us at the door and walked us up to our rooms after a long drive.
Our room, Room 4, was spacious and quiet. The bed is very comfortable. Some folks may not like the harder pillows, but I enjoyed them. The staff put a portable A/C unit in the room, which made it quite comfortable for sleeping.
Breakfast in the morning was a little short of expectations. Do not get me wrong - the food was well cooked and hot and filling. But maybe I missed something. I was expecting more than sausage patties, potatoes, eggs, and bacon: apple pancakes, something more akin to the Inn itself. There was only a small little jar of apple butter out, which was disappointing.
All in all, however, this is a lovely place for a couple, or a couple of couples, to spend a weekend. I would highly recommend it.
Everyone was very pleasant and the room was spotless! Would definitely recommend and stay again.

The cutest place ever, Tony and Thistle are amazing chefs and the rooms are very cute and homey, which is what I like.
INCREDIBLY lovely stay at an 1844 BnB- The B was super comfortable in a SPOTLESS room, and the other B was French toast, bacon, and farm fresh eggs- with ever flowing Keurig coffee (be kind and refill the water reservoir with the supplied pitcher. HIGHLY recommended!
We stayed here for a night or two before and after a very intense week of camping, and it was just such a pleasure to come back to after days of roughing it. The rooms are so charming and comfortable, the common rooms are lovely, and oh my gosh, breakfast was incredible. Do not miss the homemade apple butter, it's to die for!
This is a cute quaint little inn. Our room was fine. Breakfast was yummy. The interior could use a little refresh.
We had a great time! Entire Inn was very clean and tidy and welcoming. Breakfast was great and owners personally made sure everything was going well. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and on the patio at night. The cafe lights and fire pit were cozy. Location is perfect, close to downtown. Highly recommend. We’ll be back!
Upon arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome! The b&b is quaint, very nice and very welcoming! The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. Although we did not stay for breakfast it smelled wonderful! Would definitely stay here again!
Amy is an absolute GEM & I hope the owners recognize this. She was on site, knowledgeable, patient & when my booked transportation fell through, she was super helpful in my finding a solution. The property it's self is as clean as it can be for its age which is a HUGE credit to the cleaning staff. It's charming & cozy, mattress was snuggly & firm, shower was dated but clean with good water pressure and plenty of hot water, room was well appointed with charming furnishings & a smart TV. There's yummy pizza right next door but nothing else within walking distance.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was lovely, room was charming and extremely clean.
