I can confidently say that the customer service is top-notch. From the moment we started our search for my father, this facility stood head and shoulders above the rest.

Everyone we encountered was very friendly.

I must highlight Heather Goodno, who showed compassion, knowledge, and expertise. She answered every question with grace and put us at ease throughout the entire transition. Her dedication to ensuring the well-being of our father was truly comforting.

Our journey with this facility has been nothing short of exceptional. We are immensely grateful for the outstanding support, and I wholeheartedly recommend this community to anyone seeking a nurturing and enriching environment for their loved ones.

During a recent search of various living options for my aging mother-in-law, my husband and I came across Arbor Terrace in Exton. The property is well maintained and the grounds are kept in impeccable shape. A sense of community can be felt upon entering the doors, and the staff are welcoming and compassionate with the residents. An impressive number of diverse activities are offered to keep my loved one as engaged as she chooses to be. Megan was able to answer all our questions and provide the reassurance we needed before taking the next step.

I've spent the last two years in the company! They're amazing. I've been studying to enhance my knowledge in my profession in the hopes of working as a director someday. The managers at Arbor Terrace Exton have all been excellent and have supported my development. We have wonderful residents and staff in addition to fantastic managers. I developed strong relationships with all of the residents and think of them as my friends.

Once you walk into Arbor Terrace you will easily fall in love. I am a current employee. I have been at Arbor for almost two years and i'm still going strong. I started out as a housekeeper and after working hard I was promoted to Maintenance Assistant and i am more motivated than ever to advance in my career. The skills and trades I have aquired will help me in the future.
Relationships with residents is the
"Icing on the cake" for me! It is the best to have a job that feels more like family.

I have visited Arbor Terrace Exton a few times. Not only is the building gorgeous, but everyone from staff to residents are incredibly kind. Every day there are enjoyable activities. Recently I was able to attend the holiday party. They had wonderful cocktails, food, and music. If you want your loved ones to receive excellent care, have a fantastic time, and enjoy delicious meals I definitely recommend Arbor Terrace Exton!

Arbor Terrace gave us a thorough tour in person then a video conference call tour for a family member out of state. The due diligence and excellent customer service makes this decision so easy for us.

My mother is a dementia patient and has been a resident of Arbor in their bridges program since February 2022. I agree with many reviewers about their experience when they tour. It’s a beautiful building, but absolutely smoke and mirrors. They have rapid turnover of staff, the staff they have are untrained and absent/found sleeping/caring for their children; while my mother has been left to lay in bed in the dark and go 19 hours without food or water. They were found in violation of this exact same situation in May and yet their careless negligence and practice of starving my mom continues. Yes, we have options of care homes, but this is not about me. This is about an 80 year old with dementia that has learned the lay of the land at Arbor and moving her would be detrimental to her mental health. Anyone caring for a loved one with dementia knows the impact of change for someone with dementia. This is just one issue in a long line of others — but starvation of a resident leaves me with little grace for their staffing deficiencies and excuses after two years of being patient.
Put your loved one at Arbor and be prepared to do all the work; from laundry, cleaning, assisting with bathing and grooming and getting them food and assuring they are getting their meds timely and as required. It’s nothing more than a REALLY expensive apartment—since the actual care portion is absent on many levels.

I would like to recognize the executive and nursing staff for great customer service. They consistently met our expectations as we searched for a facility for my brother. They valued our time, over communicated to us during the entire process, and were upbeat on every call and visit. I would highly recommend this facility to my friends! Rick.

I can't say enough about how easy and welcoming the move-in process was! Kim, Heather, and the rest of the staff made us all feel at-home instantly. Literally, upon walking in the doors at Arbor Terrace, I felt my stepmom was SAFE-a huge blessing and relief, to put it mildly.

Recently visited your facility. I was very impressed. The grounds were very well maintained and upon entering I noticed how warm and inviting it seemed. The staff greeted my wife and I immediately and were quite attentive. When my time comes I could very well see myself taking up residence there.

“. Resident found laying on floor.face, pillow, floor covered in dried vomit.shirt and briefs soaked in urine.staff interviews and photo of resident indicate resident was on the floor for a significant amount of time.resident unable to get up with out assistance…Departments findings of the abuse/neglect in violation of (regulation) 2600.42b. ”

Pretty disturbing violations on Arbor Terrace of Exton, along with above observation founded by the state, I would encourage others to review and factor the number of violations against Arbor Terrace Exton from the Department of Human Services (DHS) that range from abuse, neglect, and mishandling of medications. Personal care homes are inspected and their performance is made public so that you can make an educated decision when helping your loved ones. Check out the repeat violations and ongoing lack of adherence to state requirements. In fact Arbor Terrace of Exton was unable to renew their license earlier this year. Check out employee reviews on indeed- very telling as well.

I am not one to leave reviews, good or bad, but this review had to be written. My mother has been in several assisted living homes, which I found to be unacceptable as far as living conditions, cleanliness, food, quality, and especially having no activities whatsoever. I recently got my mother into Arbor Terrace, with the help of Megan, who is an amazing person, and my sister and I can’t say enough about it. And Chuck, the director, is involved with the pontoon boat rides and most other activities. He truly knocks it out of the park! I called today to talk to my mother and found out she was on a pontoon boat. REALLY? I don’t even get to do that! I have eaten in the dining room, which I found to be unbelievable, and their chef, DeShawn, is an extremely talented chef and friendly. Awesome guy! I felt like I was eating at a five-star restaurant. The whole community feels like you are on a small cruise ship. The staff is unbelievable. Serious activities throughout the day ending with happy hour in the sports “ bar” and daily evening movies in a movie theatre comparable to the movie tavern. If I mention everything that was there, I would probably run out of characters. All I can say, is WOW! Thank you so much for giving the residence. Such a wonderful life! We are so blessed to have had the opportunity to have our mother there! I can’t get a hold of her anymore. She’s too busy! ALIVE AGAIN!

It may seem odd, or even biased to have a current Director write a review of their employer, but given my experience with Arbor Terrace Exton, I felt compelled to.
I’ve been a nurse for 15 years. The majority of my bedside career has been long term care, skilled nursing, sub acute, and LTAC.
During that time, I found I had a passion and skill for caring for the most vulnerable of residents, those with Dementia.
I genuinely enjoyed educating, reassuring and comforting their families during an incredibly difficult time.
Unfortunately, I found that skilled nursing didn’t give me enough time to really get to know my residents the way I would like to.
Eventually, I became frustrated that I couldn’t give the amount of time and attention I wanted to my residents and their families. This resulted in me leaving full time bedside nursing. Over the years Ive worked various administrative nursing jobs, but always missed direct patient care. Summer of 2022, I was hired to work with Arbor. I was thrilled to finally be in a role where I was given the autonomy to mold Evergreen into what it is today.
It’s genuinely impressive, the level of encouragement, guidance and support that’s been provided to me from my Regional Team as well as my peers.
This company truly values quality and compassion. They’ve provided me with the tools needed to overcome the everyday challenges associated with running this type of neighborhood. With that being said, all of that support and guidance has made it so I could give ample time to my residents, their families as well as staff.
My neighborhood is staffed so we’re able to provide detailed, nuanced care to your loved ones. Our staff are able to actually engage your loved one and form close bonds. I also enjoy that I’m able to do this with my families. Every family is given my personal cell phone number and are encouraged to reach out for frequent updates. I love the fact I am able to have a collaborative partnership in caring for these residents. I’ll often meet with families, we bounce ideas off each other on how to best care for their family member. It’s so helpful. They teach me as much as I teach them! We learn together, and in doing so, are able to provide a high level of care. Of course, no where is perfect, but I take pride in the fact Arbor is incredibly action oriented. If there’s an issue, we will address it asap to alleviate your concerns.
Having to place your loved in any type of community is difficult. It’s a scary time for all those involved. I just wanted to provide families my point of view and some insight into how I lead the Evergreen team. If you’re coming to tour, even if your loved one isn’t in need of Memory Care, feel free to stop down! My office is within the neighborhood and I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.

I recently toured Arbor Exton with Heather. The building itself is warm and inviting. Very beautifully decorated. I was impressed by how friendly and welcoming everyone was. Several staff members from various departments stopped to greet my family and I and offer information or just engage us in conversation.
Looking around I saw several residents socializing and engaging in activities in the Bistro area. We toured the entire building including the Memory Care Unit. Their director offered us her card, which included her cell phone number! This level of accessibility is huge for us and not something we've seen elsewhere. Staff were serving lunch and looked like a well oiled machine. Everyone was up and doing their part to ensure the residents were fed in a timely and dignified manner. Following the tour, we sat with Heather discussing our needs and concerns. She was kind, compassionate and informative. She was very "down to earth" so to speak. No high pressure sales tactics, just honest connection and communication. It's a huge relief knowing Arbor Exton is available to care for our loved one when the time comes.

We recently visited Arbor Terrace, Exton and participated in a Fund Raising Event for Alheimers Awareness "The Longest Day". It was our first visit and we were greeted promptly and warmly. The facility is beautiful and well maintained. We felt very welcomed by the staff.
We were impressed with how all the staff worked together, supporting each other in this event, noticing how well they interacted with the residents even as they had their own responsibilities with the event going on. They took time with both the residents as well as visitors.

When I first went to Arbor Terrace Exton for a a business meeting, my first impression was "I have never been treated like this". And by that I mean with grace and warmth. The Concierge was able to confirm that I had a meeting and who it was with. She told me that Heather and Kim would be with me shortly. She then escorted me to the Discovery Room and told me to help myself to a beverage or snack.
In over 15 years in the Healthcare Sales field I have never been treated with such professionalism and courtesy.
The building itself is so clean and inviting. I felt as though I was in a friends home with all the comforts and amenities to make it feel like someplace that I would want to live.
On my tour I was greeted with smiles by all the staff - whether I was directly introduced to them or just passed them in the hall.
The residents were all happy and engaged in an activity or socializing with each other.
I actually thought "oh, they staged this and prepped for my tour".
No, that definitely was not the case - this is who they are and how they are, always.
I returned for an unannounced and unexpected visit. And from the concierge greeting (and subsequent escort to the office I was looking for) to the greetings and smiles from the staff - I knew: this IS the shining gem of Senior Living communities in Chester County.

Arbor Terrace Exton promises care, compassion and a family-like setting but does not deliver. Our father lived there for six months and was isolated and unable to get the care he paid for and needed each day.

Though the website and promotional materials bill Arbor as an intimate facility in which caregivers get to know you, that wasn't true for our dad, and our family's efforts to work with senior staff to fix what wasn't working met with 'happy talk' but little action. And it wasn't easy to find anyone to talk with about the issues Dad was having, either: Calls went to voicemail and were rarely returned, emails sometimes went unanswered and office doors were too often closed to outsiders. Meanwhile, Dad's care needs weren't being scheduled, his call button wasn't being answered in a timely manner, and no efforts were made to help him get integrated into the community. Our dad—a medical doctor and caregiver himself—felt more unseen and despondent with each passing month. He told me, "Arbor doesn't feel like home. It's just a place I live. "

Arbor's facility is new compared to others in the area, and its sales process is aggressive, with many promises of compassionate care to see you through retirement and beyond. We signed the contract after being promised that Dad, who was in the end stages of congestive heart failure, could live at Arbor throughout the hospice process— but even that didn't turn out to be true. He was forced to move to another facility in the final two weeks of his life.

Unless your loved one is in perfect health, do not move him or her into this community. Lovely lawns and gardens and state-of-the-art facilities are so much less important than consistent care provided by people who enjoy caring for others. We did not find that at Arbor Terrace Exton.

Megan, Kim and Heather have been more than helpful to us to move our family member into Arbor Terrace. Their kindness, knowledge and professionalism have made this a very smooth process for us. Since the move in every staff member we met has been so kind and genuine. We can’t say enough great things about the staff Megan specifically since she been with us since
day 1.

It has been a month since our family chose Mom's forever home at Arbor Terrace. We have seen a significant change for the better since she arrived. Mom was becoming more reclusive at her previous senior living home, but with the help of the entire Engagement Team at Arbor Terrace in Exton, she is looking happier and getting out of her room for some meals and meeting more people. Now she is working with the Rehabilitation team and getting more confident every day. Thank you Arbor Terrace Team.

I’ve visited many senior living centers and I have to say that I wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving a loved in most. Arbor Terrace Exton is an exception to that. Everyone we interacted with was warm and welcoming, which isn’t always the case. I felt reassured that the care staff were well-trained and knowledgeable so that we wouldn’t be worried about a lack of proper care and needs being met. The community was beautiful and had so many great amenities. A couple favorites were the movie theater and sports lounge with happy hour. This set them a part for us from all the others. I can say with confidence that I trust my loved one to be well-cared for and feel at-home here.
