Assante Ristorante Italiano reviews
16This place is, by far, the BEST Italian food in the Valley! A true hidden gem! The service was great and every dish we had was amazing! The braised short rib- OH MY GOSH- was the best I’ve ever eaten, the meatball flatbread was delicious, the meatballs were fresh and tender! My new fave place!
This may have been the best meal we have had in the past year. Outstanding drinks, they make one of the best Manhattans, both my wife and I loved our meal. There was so much food we both took leftovers home. Were already talking about going back. This has to be one of the top places in the lehigh valley to eat.
Huge portions of very good food. We went on a Sunday for lunch and the had a bigger crowd than expected, so service was impacted, but they remain gracious. A testament to the popularity.
It has been a while since we've been to Assante and I was really disappointed. Service was slow, but it appeared that our waitress was also making our drinks so I can write that off as being short-staffed and no big deal.
However, our food was subpar. My husband's dish was missing the mozzarella that it called for, and my food I'm pretty sure included frozen broccoli. My caesar salad tasted like the main ingredient was mustard. My husband's limoncello was frozen in the middle.
I didn't feel like the ingredients were fresh, and they came out so steaming that they almost surely were microwaved before being brought to us.
We went during restaurant week so I'm hoping their restaurant week options were just subpar. We will give them another chance when it isn't restaurant week.
Incredibly friendly service, outstanding food, great cocktails. Assante is a must. We'll certainly be returning.
We were there following a funeral it was a lovely time regardless thank you for being so caring.
The company was great.the food.not at all. The crab bisque was not a bisque. It was uneatable. The server knew we didn't eat it and said nothing until we brought it up? A better restaurant would have given us a voucher or something letting us know they recognized the bisque was bad. They seem to have an attitude. Not sure why. The food is not that good. The Caesar salad dressing is from a bottle.yuck. The mushrooms were canned.ugh? The linguini with lemon sauce could not have been more tasteless. The garlic bread was anything but. Cheap rolls with some garlic. The best part of the meal was the olive oil with tomato bruschetta. That was very good. The rest.not so much. Wine filled about 1/4 of the glass, if that. I've worked in fine dining all the way down to fast food. If you want really good food, not just massed produced without any class or real taste to it.nice names for sure.eat there with low expectations. Disappointing meal. Won't be going back. If they were in a bigger city what they are serving would never pass. They cut corners to save money.but most people going don't know that. Sooo they exist and do very well for themselves. It's unfortunate because will think this is good Italian food and as an Italian I can tell you.it is not.
Our food was delicious and Nick always brings a smile to our faces, this is such a warm, friendly environment. I also love the color scheme. It just feels classy
I feel like I’m back in Italy every time I visit. Food, service and price blows me away every time! Thanks Gulio!
My fiancé and I dined here today for dinner. He had the the Braised Short ribs over mashed potatoes. I had the flounder with artichoke. Our appetizer was the fried calamari and as part of our dinner I had a side garden salad and he the cream of mushroom soup.
Pros: our server was really great. Very attentive and polite. The food, DELICIOUS! Everything about the short ribs was spot on. They were very tender and flavorful. My founder was cooked perfectly.
The cream of mushroom soup was savory and hearty.
Very satisfying meal.
Cons: Although they require a reservation for guaranteed seating, it isn't clearly indicated on their website. I checked several times. They were able to accommodate us at the bar which is fine but I would have preferred to sit at a table. Note: if you need same day reservations, our server recommends calling before 4pm the day of for an evening table.
Also the braised short ribs were more expensive than what was indicated on the menu. Which I found to be a little uncomfortable. He did tell us when we ordered about the difference but I still found it to be a little uncomfortable.
Overall it really wasn't bad experience. The restaurant has a great family feel that I found very pleasant. We plan to return soon (this time with a reservation).
I highly recommend them if you want some really delicious Italian cuisine.
Assante has become my new favorite spot!
The bread they give in the beginning is a great starter and the entrees are to die for! My go to plate is the Gnocchi but I try to get something new every time we visit. I also appreciate that the staff is always friendly every time we go.
Hard to evaluate the service. We were a table of 18 and 1 poor lonely waitress for us and 2 or 3 other tables. She was running her butt off, doing the best she could.
Food was meh. We were given a limited menu a few days prior. On the night of, the menu was totally different. Had my heart set on Eggplant Parm. But ended up w Chicken. You wanted Tiramisu for dessert. NOPE, not this time! Grrr
We stopped in on a Saturday night, no seats were a available.the staff made room for us. They were so kind and accomidating! Our food was served hot, our waitress was wonderful. For the amount of people in the restaurant, all of the servers were so professional. We highly recommend Assante'.
You're always welcome at Assantes. Great food and even better atmosphere. The gnocchi are excellent. The desserts are amazing. Portions are generous so there's plenty to take home and enjoy (along with extra dessert I order). I never feel rushed so I can sit and visit with family and friends. I often see people eating solo at the bar so seems like people can enjoy a treat night for themselves.
We had my grandfather's wake here and the food was beyond amazing and the staff were just so kind. I def would recommend this restaurant to anyone!
The gnocchi was excellent as was the house salad dressing and the lemoncello cake for desert. Waitress was very accommodating… I asked for a salad without onions. It came with a big chunk of onion anyway. The waitress took it back, no problem, and brought me another. Other dishes order were the pork chops and saltimbocca with veal. All excellent.
Can’t wait to go back.
