Au Bon Lieu reviews
18Loved the flavors and wholesome ingredients in the crepes. Delicious! Was a big hit for the kids to have Nutella and fresh fruits and veggies in huge crepes - we love small business. And this was just like I’ve had in Paris. Tareq is the owner and super hospitable. Enjoy supporting small business and the cozy space indoors or sit outside at the fun bistro tables. The inside was getting a little facelift with painting going on at the time I came in with my kids and best friend, so I’m sure it will be even better in the coming days.
This place is a 25 out of 5 stars! I wish I could leave more than 5 stars. The food was absolutely amazing but what really blew me away was the customer service. We were given an extra lemon crepe to try (for free!) and we were the only ones in the restaurant so we got the best of the best service. I can’t recommend this place enough!
Easily the best cafe in the entirety of Harrisburg! Service is extremely quick, and can get your entire order completed in under 5 minutes. The owner is nothing short of a master of his craft, all the while being very friendly. The crepes can be either sweet with a variety of sweet fillings like lemon curd, milk chocolate, Belgian dark chocolate, or savory with a delicious variety of vegetables or breakfast staples like eggs or mushrooms. The prices are very reasonable for what you get as well, and you can easily get an entire filling breakfast plus a coffee for under $15. The French press coffee is a must-have. If you're a resident or just passing through and need a quick but filling breakfast, look no further!
Website says open so I paid to park and walked over but at 9: 10am the place was dark, clearly closed, and no one was around. Such a disappointment.
Place is filthy! Open peanut butter/Nutella jars with flies everywhere. Floors and kitchen gross. Kids toy on cutting board. Crepes were too thick. Toppings=inside ingredients sparse. This place needs to be shut down for health reasons! Not sure who fluffed their reviews
They were very busy first thing in the morning which was abnormal but we were very kind and helpful. Food was still good. Will be back.
The place is dirty and the man who was working was super loud and rude. He made us feel uncomfortable. They don’t even care to take your order they toss you a notepad. I thought I was in the wrong place at first when I walked in. The crepe itself was dry.
This was a wonderful experience all around. The crêpes were the best I have ever had. My favorite was the Brie, cheese, tomato and egg crêpe. The owner was incredibly nice and the shop itself was very cute with additional outdoor seating.
We stopped here for breakfast and were incredibly happy with the crepes and coffee. The lemon crepe in particular was great!
Au Bon Lieu's best kept secret is how much you want to stop by for a crepe right now!
Premade, cold, tasteless crepes. The staff was clearly high on something. Would recommended steering clear if you enjoy eating your food.
It was absolutely amazing! Me and my boyfriend and I split a Nutella and strawberry crepe, and it was so good. Honestly, it was a great childhood memory to revisit.
While Au Bon Lieu is a bit small, it is a beautiful respite in Harrisburg. Very low key place to sit and relax and enjoy a delicious crepe. It is not handicap accessible, but there is accessible outdoor seating.
Foods delicious! I always get the Nutella crepes with strawberries and banana it’s so good The service is quick and friendly also! I advise everyone that loves crepes to stop here. It’s a must!
Our family was in town for our niece's wedding this past weekend.six of us opted for some wonderful crepes here at Au Bon Lieu! By far, the best crepes we've had in a long time! They could even accommodate two of us with gluten free! Delicious! Highly recommend when in town!
Wonderful crepes, absolutely fantastic. You can't go wrong with a savory or a sweet.or maybe split one of each! The owner was very kind and attentive. Outdoor seating available on a small tree lined street.
Très Bien! I had a gluten free savory with turkey, cranberries, and spinach and a sweet fresh strawberry with powdered sugar. My partner had a savory egg, brie, spinach and avocado and a sweet caramel. The caramel is from scratch. The chef said it is his wife's caramel. She nailed it! It is a quaint place across from Iron Hill Brewery in a sort of nook. Almost forgot, the chef made an Eiffel Tower in top of our sweet crepes with the powdered sugar.
What a wonderful experience! The food was fresh, delicious and very good. They were also so kind as to bring out a courtesy crepe after my daughter spilled hers on the ground. Will definitely be back for more!
