AVC Iron Works, Philadelphia PA

My order was placed in Feb2022 and I was given 3-4 week lead time which was no problem because my house was still under construction. I followed up a little over a month and then things started going south. Many lies and excuses as to my my product was not done. First the guy quit, then the measurements are not right, then they promised days of delivery which never happened and then lied saying they were at my home for delivery. I visited the business several time and then they started acting like they were doing me a favor. I have a disability and needed my railing to navigate the stairs safely!

I finally called the owner from his place of business and he snapped out yelling at me telling me I was interrupting him he was in a meeting and he would call back, in which he never did. I was heated, he had no respect and he has the ability to push you in a negative place.

After being a stalker he delivered my railing the next day and installed it himself. This man is Bi-polar! I had other work to be done but he will not get the business. His Assistant in the office, she is phenomenal and if it were not for her, I would still be waiting. By the way, he threw her under the bus and blamed the disconnect on her. If you want aggravation and stress by all means this is the place for you! I have my railing and it’s beautiful but the interaction with this business owner needs to be man to man!

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! We selected this company based on an Instagram page filled with seemingly beautiful work and promises of a timely delivery. We promptly submitted a deposit for a job that we were told would take 3 weeks to fabricate, install and complete. Now 3 months later, the work is not complete, the company has been to my home 8 times, burned my brand new carpet and floors, paint is all over and nothing is square. In addition to being utterly unhappy with the work and damage done to our home, the owner continues to be verbally abusive calling me and my husband pigs among other choice words. He has gone on long rants about our karma and cursing us etc. This man takes no responsibility for his poor communication and craftsmanship, but instead, has taken the position that we are trying to steal from him. We needed a moment to collect quotes for the repairs caused by the damage his company made, but this man has no grace and offers none. This man should not be in business anymore!

Deserves less than one star. Just viewed his latest job and met with him to discuss it. He has no business being in business. Shoddy workmanship, unprofessional communications. He was threatening and hostile when confronted by everything from missing welds, unfinished sharp edges, out of square connections, mis-measurements, missing hardware, misplaced brackets, truly horrible paint, damage he caused to the house he was working in and that doesn’t even cover it all. He is ignorant of the whole gamut of what makes a craftsman a craftsman.

Stop! I would give this company No Stars! Do not hire this company in less a male is present! The owner lacks professionalism and does not complete work. I hired him to install railings and he had given me dates he would be out and didn't show up or call! When he eventually had his employees come out to install the railings one was missing. When I asked him about it he said that was not apart of the contract which was untrue because I don't believe anyone would have railings replaced and leave one out. I paid him $4,450. Which includes an additional $450.00 for railing he did not bring. He also does substandard work because the poles they removed to install the new railings should have been cemented and they were not. The railings came with sections needing to be painted. When he left I notified him two weeks later that the railings had started rusting. He made another promise his company would refresh paint when the railing left out was installed. To date he has not installed the railing or returned my money. When I spoke with him he was belligerent and told me he was too busy and didn't have time for my issue. He then asked me to be patient and he had my railing and would be out to honor his commitment. Again he did not show up! Two weeks ago I spoke with him and he said my check was in the mail. I told him I have not received a check and he would know that from the bank. He said he would talk to his secretary and as usual I received no check and no response from him. This has been going on since April of 2021. He treats women like second class citizens. I am a senior and retired on a fixed income and this has caused me tremendous stress. That's a lot of money to give someone and not have work completed let alone be respected! I have contacted the Better Business Bureau twice regarding this company and I am moving forward in small claims court! Please if you are a women hire this company at your own risk!

I’ve spent 3700 with this company during a pandemic and I can’t believe the level of professionalism I received from this company! I completely remodeled my North Philadelphia home and wanted some beautiful railings to complete the look! They came out to my house and measured 5 different times and still got the measurements wrong on the railings. During this process they lost one of the railings pushing back installation. They promised me dates for installation and would not show up and wouldn’t have the decency to call and notify me. After finally coming out to finish up my work one of the workers damaged my newly finished steps. Immediately I contacted the owner and his response was so unprofessional and disheartening. I trusted this company into my home and they messed up my steps. The owner promised to come and see the damages (I live 25th and Lehigh, 2mins away) in 15 min I received a text saying that he no longer could come because he had a lot of stuff to do in the office. He promised to come out later yesterday and again no call no show. This has been a nightmare and I would not ever use this company or recommend this company to anyone. They don’t value your money so go spend your money with someone who will value your business!

Set up appointment with them they never showed up I would not recommend them
