Avis Car Rental, Glenolden PA

I had reservation booked for a month in advanced, I arrived at the location for pick up and was told there weren’t any cars available, extremely dismissive and very unprofessional toward me, they were unable to offer a resolution besides asking me to call the next day to see if a car would be available and nothing. I’m extremely disappointed by the horrible service and will no longer ever even think about another Avis in the foreseeable future when it comes to renting a vehicle.

Jerry is horrible. Absolutely horrible, despicable and disrespectful. Reporting you to the better business bureau. You don't treat people with disrespect in the customer service industry. People make mistakes. My debt was paid off in full. And you act like your a perfect God with no issues or mistakes made in your life of your own. He has zero compassion to others. Picking up the phone saying I would never rent to you again and hanging up in my ear. Who are you to judge? I'll definitely be contacting corporate as well for your poor bedside manner when it comes to treating people with disrespect no matter how much you may not see eye to eye with someone.

Uber says you dont have to pay upfront just the security deposit yet upon arrival they wanted the payment upfront indeed. The customer service was ok but they were not able to do anything to help us at the time of a family crisis. So while there cars are just as good as any other car rental agency I personally have a bad taste in mouth for this company.

Great customer service and frequently staff. I go here to rent a car consistently cause of this. Great price also.

So I called because I was curious about pricing and what do you need to have on file to rent a car they want you to number one have a “major credit card” not everyone has a credit card so I might as well just either rent from Turo or enterprise

Hesitant from the negative reviews, had to go with this Avis. I had nothing but a great experience. The price was not different from talked about and I winded up having to extend the car and that was extremely easy and even lower rate then what I thought. Don’t believe all the bad reviews just make sure you have a reservation and it should be smooth. THANK YOU

I gave them three stars because it's very difficult to get someone on the phone and they only have one person working in the branch and when something goes wrong they never want to fix it they always want you to deal with reservations but when you reserve something with reservations they kind of get upset that you dealt with an outside source which doesn't make sense because it's all the same and the property manager his name is Jerry sometimes he's nice and will help out but 80% of the time he likes to just stick to the script and go by the book and you cannot always do that in certain situations dealing with human beings

Excellent customer service. The girl at the front desk Kristen not only she’s hot, in addition very friendly, patient and helpful in answering all my questions efficiently. An easy way to get a car rental. I’ll definitely recommend Avis rental at this location keep up with the good work guys

Actually it’s Zero! No star. Car is unsafe and should not have been rented out. Out of town trip gone wrong- front tire bald and got flat midway. Lots of waiting time for roadside assistance. Drove to Newark Airport to get a replacement car with a spare tire that was slowly losing air. I decided to rent a car instead of taking the train so I can get home in time for another meeting. Ended up missing that and got home very late. Could be worse- my tires would’ve blown out in the highway and would’ve been in an accident.

Horrible experience. Not professional the gentleman at the front desk was very short and dismissive with me. Also I was told one thing and then they did something else. I needed the car rental for 18 days and my insurance covered thos days. Avis cut my rental short and charger me 150 for the 7 days. I felt as though I was scammed, they not only got money from my insurance but me as well. I would never ever recommend Avis Budget. I felt cheated and devalued.

Stay away. Cons. State the gas was full and if you sign and prove with pictures it was 3/4 they still say “you signed, sorry “ and try to charge $10/gallon.

Very unpleasant customer service provided by the gentleman of Arabic decent.

I just left this place. The man who works there is rude and unprofessional. We were trying to get help with our tire because we had a slow leak and he said there is nothing he could do for us and told us pep boys was up the street and they would not pay for it (mind you I rented from Avis and when I got the car they told me any Avis could help with out issues if need be because we are visiting family in a different city) if we had any other issues call the store we rented from.

Emad and his staff provided outstanding customer service. He went above and beyond to accommodate my needs although he was sold out of cars. Whenever I am in Philly, this will be my preferred Avis location. Thank you Emad!

Based on other reviews looks like this place must be under new management because our experience with this business was exceptional! The cost of the rental was lower than the competition. The Jeep we rented was new and clean. The store closes on Saturday at noon. We arrived at 1158, which made me nervous but no in the end it was no problem…. Brian the manager/ owner was so nice and accommodating…

The owner in charge is very nasty and disrespectful…. They over charge u for everything I will not be going back there and it’s always something wrong with they cars

For this to be a car rental place these people are very disrespectful and even more unprofessional the man in charge doesn't no anything about customer service any other Avis I go to I never have any problems but here its always a problem and I think he pick and choose who he have problems with and the poor girl in the front I think she is scared to talk or call him cause she knows he have a nasty attitude, I hope they find a knew owner cause if not they will lose out on a lot of customers

Worst service ever… he comes off as a nice guy until he gets your money along with hidden “administrative, ” fees. Not worth it… go to the airport

SCAM SCAM SCAM! If Budget will allow just anyone to become the owner of one of their franchise without doing a personality check, they’ll never see another penny of my money EVER! The “manager” Ahad is extremely nasty and arrogant. He has no issues using profanity and went as far as to charge our card $900 in fees lying saying that the car was dirty and the gas tank was empty. Thank God we used our card 2 mins before dropping the car off to fill up the tank. That proves that their lying. They even deleted our reservation from the system completely to hide the shady dealings. There was actually a person from corporate that was in the office and witnessed the way that this guy operates and they were just as shocked. No pride taken in the brand and even less for the customers that pay the bills to keep the lights on.

Refused to take my bank card Visa. Is this some kind of new requirement? Just rented a UHaul in SC with the same card. Then would not allow me to use Restroom. Would not recommend to any fellow traveler not from this area. Dazed and confused. Zero help! Go to Payless at PHL airport. Happy Trails!
