Very poor customer service in the PHL rental office. 4-5 agents standing around ignoring the customers in line. Same reception at return.

The office was very hot. It took hours for people to get their cars. Yet there were some cars brought around and kept running but they were not any of the cars assigned to any of us waiting. They need need a good manager for both inside and outside. When you finally received your car, the clerk didn’t even ask if you had any question on anything about use of the car!

Very disappointed with Avis PHL. Despite being a Preferred member, I did not get my preferred car. My options were to only pay an extra $65/day to "upgrade". I did not want to upgrade. I wanted the car that I reserved. If you don't have the car, I'll go somewhere else. Sorry, Avis. Your service is terrible.

The vehicle was great! I enjoyed the entire ride on my road trip. As a matter of fact, now I want to buy one just like it! Avis did a great job!

They lady running the bus from airport to the rental place on my pick up was just horrible.argumentative all for me asking if this dual labeled bus was going to Avis. Then I get my car after waiting in line for 35 minutes and it is a Toyota C-HR. A car with no android auto or apple car play. The fact Avis even bought a car without this safety feature is beyond comprehension. Second poor experience in a row. Avis has really gone down hill. Avoid!

Although I have been a Wizard member for years, during a recent rental at the Philadelphia International Airport my car was not available and I had to wait in line 30 minutes to speak to an agent to get a car.

Staff was helpful but the vehicle was unsafe. Left front brake metal on metal, bald tires unsafe to drive in rain etc. They charged us extra money at the end without any explanation. We returned the vehicle back a day early and full of gas so why the extra charge? We could not drive the vehicle as much as we needed to because it was mechanically unsound.

AVIS at Philly Airport check in was TERRIBLE. Two people behind counter with about 12 people waiting. Then when you finally got to the counter, check in could not have been SLOWER. They want to ask questions that you cannot hear or understand. Thought the check in process was going to take longer than my flight. Did I mention TERRIBLE.

I have always had great service from this Avis car rental place here at the Philadelphia airport the staffs are cool & welcoming I am looking forward to renting vehicles here again when ever I take some time off up north again.also I have been slacking on making review I've been many places and most of My reviews have been really helpful too.

I rarely use rental vehicles and planned a trip in advance where I called Avis multiple times to avoid any hiccups during my car rental duration. Unfortunately, this location caused me to have quite a delay.
During my rental pick-up, the rep assisting me left her station with me mid payment (my ccard was sticking out of the machine) so that she could verbally abuse her coworker. She pulled him into the back and yelled loudly, i was embarrassed for them both.
She came back to finish assisting me and asked me to upgrade with the fuel service which i agreed. I also upgraded to use the etoll service which i clarified with her twice that it would be a ONETIME fee…not daily. She assured me it was a one time fee. (Looking at my receipts…the rep did not disclose the details about these services at all)
I get into my vehicle which i assumed was a full tank and drove off…about 15mins into driving on an interstate, I got a dashboard light warning me to immediately charge my electric vehicle. This was a disaster.
Avis loaned me an uncharged electric vehicle that took me about 9hours to resolve. I was stuck waiting for a tow truck until after 10pm on the side of a road (i picked it up around 3pm). I also had a difficult time communicating with their customer service.
If possible, please avoid using this location.

Had a reservation at a location that informed me one hour before pick up that they had no cars. Ended up Ubering to another location and Avis charged me $65 more.

Rented a car for 1 day at PHL. I walked to rental car center. They were moving cars at a super high (dangerous) rate of speed-should have taken bus for safety. Car was exited with 15.1 gallons of gas. Returned with 15.4 galloons of gas. CHARGED 17.99 refueling fee!
For what? I would rent with a more reputable company like National or Hertz if you don't want to get overcharged.

I wish I could give negative stars! They are charging me for days beyond the days I had the car and are refusing to refund my money. BEWARE! They take your credit card info upon picking up the car, which is standard practice, but then just charge you whatever fabricated fees they can think of! I was charged for dropping the car off in Virginia despite the fact that I dropped it off 2 days earlier at Philadelphia Airport and got on a plane to texas! Since they send you your receipt in an email days later, you have no idea what they charged to your card until its too late. How is this even legal?

I am a Preferred Customer with all information up to date. I had to wait over 45 minutes in a line to get a car with all my information added by the agent manually. What a mess! This seemed to be happening to everyone in line. A call to the 800 number didn't do any good - they said they couldn't do anything. I may not rent here again.

My car smelled like fish and wasnt so clean however I just needed a car to drive 7 hours from a canceled flight! I love the service getting a car etc. Avis will be my go to alway

I travel a lot and I have used several rental car agencies. Since using Avis, I do not use any other agency. They were the cheapest, quickest and friendliest that I have dealt with, and I have no connections to them. I get picked up by the Avis bus, walk to my car and leave, no standing in line or waiting.

The car had one headlight not functioning, it shake when applying brake, very dirty inside.
Avis used to be a lot better!

Fairly efficient and I've had good experiences of Avis in the past, but this time the car hadn't been cleaned, washer fluid was low and car wasn't equipped with EZ-Pass for tolls.

Avis at the PHL airport. I remember when the Avis slogan was “we try harder”. At PHL Avis hardly tries at all. Bad inventory, bad service from employees who seem to believe that the customer should be honored to be assisted by them. Check in lot is a mess and littered with cars needing service. Take a ride share or rent from someone else. If your company makes you rent from Avis call a head hunter.

Avoid this Avis rental facility. Your car won’t be ready and there won’t be any one to help you. There was a line of cars backed up at drop off because you couldn’t get into the parking lot. There wasn’t enough staff to move cars out of the way. At one point, people were abandoning their rental cars in order to catch their flights
