I keep trying to give this place chances and it disappoints me every time. The food is at least twice the price that it should be. None of us ever like the food either, the last few times it was so bad we couldn’t finish our meals. The service is also verrry slow. I’m not sure if they’re severely understaffed, but without exaggeration what should have been a quick meal took over 2 hours, simply due to the waitstaff being out of sight most of the time.
If the place was half the price and a lot faster, it might make up for the bad food. It’s just unacceptable at this point. There’s just too many other places in West Reading that greatly outperform this restaurant, there’s no reason to put up with this.

I visited on Sunday, January 28th, 2024. This was my first and LAST time going to B2 Bistro. I heard good reviews so i was expecting it to be nice, but i was entirely disappointed with my entire dinner/experience.
To start off, we were standing in the front host desk for 15 mins. We ask the people in the kitchen if we could get seated. They replied, “There is no host right now. Wait for the host. ” We stood there for another 10 minutes before getting seated.
I ordered the Orange Julius drink and was told they put away the ingredients for the night. So, I opted for the B2 soda instead. The B2 soda was supposed to be mango flavored. However, it was nothing like soda. It tasted like flat seltzer water, no mango flavor at all.
Next, we ordered the bread board, just for them to bring it out w plain bread on a tray with NO olive oil dip and/or olives. Then had the audacity to ask if we still wanted it. Why would I want plain bread with no dip?
That wasnt all. Next, I ordered the cripsy brussel sprouts. When I got the dish, I was shocked. My entire plate was burnt and Im surprised they still served it to me. (Please view image).
The other entrees we ordered were the Chicken Parm Baked Zigi, Lasagna, Crab Cake, & Pulled Pork Tostones and they were all alright, nothing crazy. Wings were a little bit dry.
I am very disappointed that this dinner was $150 and the whole experience was all over the place!
Overall, 2/20, I highly do not recommend and I will not be coming back.

Cold food, 1130 on a Saturday morning. Unfortunately there was a very loud, drunken birthday party of about 30 people next to us too. Couldn't find the server at all. Big let down.

The order was 45 minutes late arriving at the occasion held there. The horderves when served were cold.
They booked another event after ours and came in while we still had a hour left, having management rushing us to leave!
Will NEVER book ANY event there again!
The only thing good was our server, she was great! She was never told in advance that we were only having horderves. She was prepared to bring menus for everyone to order. They also never informed her that this was a non alcoholic party. We felt sorry for her. She was very attentive.
The master chef never apologized for the cold food, or for the 45 minute delay!
Very disgusted after the price that was paid to be embarrassed by everyone sitting waiting for COLD FOOD!

Great time! I love that the menu is always changing. There are at least 3 more entrees I want to try. My hubby had cajun chix & shrimp alfredo. He said chix was burnt and there was no heat, but he's a complainer. I had chix parm baked ziti. Delicious!

Delayed service, eggs small portion and under heat lamp which dried them out. Service average with number of tables still open.

Eh not worth the prices. Burgers are over cooked, service is slow & forgetful, and the water tastes weird. Atmosphere is cute though

Waited 2 hours to order food because we were patiently waiting for lunch time food… for them to say the kitchen was going to be close for an hour more…. Never again

This place was a life saver, we were turned away from a different restaurant we had a reservation at & after walking through the pouring rain this place happily let us dine in! Food was great, the staff was a little slow paced, but that's ok & it's a bit pricey but worth it!

Expensive. Poor quality. Horrible attitude from the chef. 1 star because of my experience with him. 4 stars for service because they are always incredible and go above and beyond.

The chef was inappropriate (looked me up at down and told me "I was welcome anytime") with me two times when I was talking to a server. It's gross. He is supposed to be a professional. Guests and servers should NEVER feel uncomfortable in that environment.

I mentioned this to someone when also complaining about the lack of modifications, and the response was, "Good luck. Multiple servers have complained and it goes nowhere. "

This is truly appalling to me. Your servers, baristas, and other customer-facing positions are the face of your business. At the very least, they should be protected from sexual harassment and extreme bursts of anger (I've seen/heard the chef a total of 3 times while working there have massive outbursts aimed at the waitstaff).

I am all about giving people room to grow and learn from their mistakes and shortcomings. If the chef is committed to repairing his relationship with women as well as seeking anger management, then he should be given a chance to make a public apology for his wrongdoings and get back to work. However, if he's not willing to take a deep hard look at his objectification & dehumanization of women as well as his projection of his own anger onto his staff, then the company should do what they need to do to provide a healthy work culture for their team.

I'm a regular here and I go pretty often. When it transitioned from Squawk Cafe to B2, the food took a hit. But I was willing to give it a try several times because I really do like the staff, a few servers and bartenders in particular. And the coffee is pretty good.

However, the quality of the food has plummeted imho-my views on the chef aside. The sushi is good. The pizza is good. The french toast is good. NOTHING on the menu is worth the price tag outside of those options.

But everything else is subpar, and it's strange that modifications are strictly prohibited for people with food allergies. Genuinely, if you think the food is worth the price tag, then you need to expand your horizons.

It was busy and very loud when I visited, which made it hard to hear my friends. Some details were missing about food items on the menu. I didn't know there were anchovies in the Caesar salad!

Here is a good example of the little cafe that could be great, but its lack of attention to detail just makes it OK.

Just a great place. I go there often. Never can go wrong going to any of the B2 locations.
