Backwoods Smoke Shack LLC, Hesston PA

Absolutely loved the food! I live about 80 miles away. I see they are temporarily closed. Does anyone know what is going on or know when they plan to reopen? It is definitely worth the drive but I don't want it to be a wasted trip.

Good food. Wish they had a meat combo platter that had options that aren't spicy. My husband was able to do their big platter but I didn't have an option because I can't eat spicy foods.

The food is really good and the service is great. Everyone is really nice and makes sure you have what you need. It is busy almost all the time.

Stopped just by chance, best ribs I ever had, wings also very good. Beans were different then normal, delicious.

Awesome experience! Got to try it if you've never been there, you'll want to go back too.

As always, delicious and the service is excellent from the time you get there until you leave. Highly recommend the brisket and ribs, they melt in your mouth:)

Had lunch at Backwoods Smoke Shack yesterday and MAN we were not disappointed! Both had the Brisket Wrap WOW! So juicy & delicious! Hubs had loaded potato salad and I had broccoli salad-also delicious! Rustic atmosphere with some indoor seating, outside picnic tables and a screened area for dining. Toilets are porta potties but they were clean. We will be back for this delicious food!

Good food, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Perfect place to eat after a long day on the lake.

Always good food. Family business that does care about the customer experience, doing things right, and working hard to keep pricing friendly with todays uncertainty of cost spikes. Great atmosphere, doing it right.

Service is good, food is very good. Very creamy coleslaw, which we love, a little too much vinegar in it unfortunately. It overpowered the taste. Meat is perfection! So good! Every kind, every time! Beans are very good. They were out of corn bread this trip so we'll try that next time. Banana ice cream is incredible! This is one of our favorites when we're in town. Go check them out!

Awesome BBQ up on the hill, came off the mountain bike trail finishing up a 10mi ride with some great food. Staff was extremely friendly and great to talk to. 10/10 + extremely dog friendly love to see that

First visit. Highly recommended by others, it did not disappoint. The food was great as well as service.
