Bakery Bagel Bistro reviews
15Easily the best bagels in the area. They are hot, fresh and flavorful. The more bagels I have elsewhere, the more I realize Bagel Bistro is my favorite. Would definitely recommend!
We were excited to try this place but found it underwhelming. The good: kids book shelf was appreciated, menu variety, other friendly patrons, food was out in a reasonable time. Bacon was a good medium firm texture. The meh: I get a high traffic place will gets dirty quickly, but after a 3 year pandemic I honestly wonder the last time certain areas were sparkling clean vs just haphazardly wiped down. Challah french toast wasn't soaked long enough to take advantage of the bread and it seemed like the grill also wasn't hot enough to caramelize. I occasionally enjoy fake syrup, but was hoping for actual maple syrup today. Coffee could have been hotter, Bagel and lox was much better, but felt like it was missing something from NY bagels that might have been better masked if it had been toasted, but we didn't think to ask. One of the items we ordered wasn't ready when we were informed the order was ready and had to be separately prepared after we asked where it was. Overall some attention to detail, would bring this place back to where it seems it used to be.
The food is always so hot and fresh! I have been coming here every Saturday for the past few months and its very consistent! All the employees are wonderful! I highly recommend the bacon egg and cheese bagel and the scrapple! 10/10 every weekend!
The lox monster with garlic bagel and bacon is now my favorite bagel sandwich ever 100000/1000000! It’s a must try!
No problem, ended up coming in. Food's always great, thanks!

Is the phone number wrong? Nobody is answering?
Food overall is average at best. Coleslaw is terrible dry and tasteless. Customer service could use improvement. The woman taking orders seemed annoyed that I was placing an order and was rude.
4 stars for the delicious breakfast sandwiches but the service is horrible, they don’t take phone orders, they don’t bother telling you they don’t take phone orders, they just say “please hold” and leave you on hold until you hang up.
Just as good, if not better than the bagels I grew up eating in Long Island, New Jersey, and Manhattan. They honestly make the best bacon, egg, and cheese I’ve ever had. I get it on an everything bagel toasted with light butter and it’s perfect every time. Popular establishment for a reason! They also offer fresh-squeezed orange juice that complements their bagels/sandwiches well! My brother came down from Boston and tried (after only having gone to Country Bagel as his local “place”) and he said, “No, Bistro has the best bagels. ” He called it the “Beesht. ”
Bagels were good, although I think Country Bagels are slightly better. The muffins looked amazing, but I didn't try any. Service was OK.
Our go-to breakfast joint on the weekends. Theyre busy but can get our orders ready within 15 minutes. Food quality is really good. During the pandemic, I recommend ordering ahead by phone and then running in to pick up.
My husband is from NJ and is picky about his Taylor ham, egg and cheese sandwiches. Country bagel microwaves the eggs and Taylor ham (), but this place cooked on the griddle. Such a better sandwich, and the bagels are chewier and tastier than Country Bagel as well. Bagel Bistro is our new go-to!
We also tried the strawberry bagel just because, and it was surprisingly delicious! Just got it toasted with butter
Good food & service for the most part but the servers & sandwich makers ignore the smell of burning toasted bread in the toaster because they are talking with each other. I alerted them about the obvious burning smell. The kicker the server was going to use the burnt bread. I refused the burnt bread & asked for a new sandwich. Also the coke slaw is very dry. Needs more dressing. That's it. My review.
I actively seek out bagel shops in Philly’s Western suburbs and these are consistently the best bagels, by an overwhelming margin, that I’ve found in Greater Philadelphia.
I imagine the rest of their offerings are also good but I can’t get enough of the pork roll, egg and cheese on a toasted everything bagel. First discovered 13 years ago. Just as good today.
Delicious everything including my favourite, warm chocolate chip muffin (buttered and toasted of course). I also get an iced coffee, which they serve in a styrofoam cup that keeps it chilled for longer haha
