Mediterranean Restaurant Barbuzzo reviews
19 Deducted 2 star for there aren't much options to choose from and little expensive.
Everything else is nice, MUST try Tiramisu dessert.
One of my favorite restaurants in Philly! Everything on the menu is creative and amazing. The atmosphere is fun and inviting. Just beware that the service is slow, so not a place to go if you are in a rush. However, the delicious food is well worth the wait!
A delicious Italian restaurant in Philly with style and ambiance. I attended a family event here in the upstairs room. The food was superb (the Kale Salad, Eggplant Parm, and Meatballs are must-haves) and the wait staff is excellent. I can't wait to come back!
This was pretty excellent, ordered
Whipped Ricotta - Excellent
Butternut Arancini - Good but slightly oily
Papas Fritas - Standard Fried Potatoes, slightly underwhelming
Ouvo Pizza - Fantastic - Must Order
Lamb Tagine - Delicious - Poor Value for Money
Duck Ragu - Must Order
Tigori - Good but not amazing
Meatballs - Bog standard, poorly executed but still good
Octopus - Excellent
In general, food excellent, but a bit overpriced for what it was
After much research, I decided to make a reservation here for my friends birthday. Thankfully I picked a winner! This place gets pretty busy in the evenings so I would highly suggest a reservation. Everything we had was 5/5. Seriously. I highly recommend getting the salted caramel budino, even if you’re stuffed. My only critique was the food took very long to come out (like 45 minutes). Other than that, this place was awesome!
Unassuming but amazing place! The food is just satisfyingly delicious and sure to please. I'd recommend to anyone, workout hesitation. And yes, the budino is worth the hype.:)
More of an Italian place with meatballs, pizza and pasta. The pizza was fresh and delicious. We went early hoping to grab a table without a reservation, but ended up at the bar, but noticed that many tables were still empty. The tiramisu is delicious and the server at the bar was very nice!
Three of us came in with no reservation around 2pm on a busy Saturday. It took about 15 minutes to be seated but then it was a great experience. Our server was fabulous with positive energy and very professional. The food was really good. I had the Spanish steak and eggs. The speed of delivery to our table was fast. We ate inside and the overall ambiance was very comfortable and conducive to calm conversation at our table. The prices are high but commiserate to the location.
We love their burrata and the pizzas are one of the best in the area! Overall their menu is on point, and we love that they change it up every so often to keep things lively. In our top 5 Philly restaurants!
Omg, I was in town for work for the weekend and everywhere we went for food was only okay but THIS PLACE? Amazing! The sweet corn arancini was incredible, so incredible we ordered two portions! Our server Nikki was so cool and was very attentive even though the restaurant was visibly busy. I highly recommend this place, the atmosphere is so pleasant and the food comes out so fast! Come hungry leave happy!
Food was amazing, and service was amazing. Wednesday night and jammed packed. Still, food service was incredibly quick for a table of 4.
5 star food but service the night we went was sub par. We needed to flag our waiter down for everything, the table next to us had a similarly challenging experience. The food however was delicious. We ran out of bread and asked for more, and it was a side charge of bread, which would have been less annoying if the service had actually been faster. We got the whipped ricotta, meatballs, (only one corner of bread fyi), and the pico (duck ragu) which were all amazing
Tapas style plate sharing. All 4 of us loved every app, main course and desert that we tried. Pizza, gnocchi, octopus, meatballs, try it all! The sangria, the port, the espresso were all wonderful as well. Our server Andrew did a fantastic job. We'll definitely come back in the future.
Dined in upstairs room for my cousins rehearsal dinner 9/3/2021. Absolutely AMAZING! Food was insane and service was professional and fun! I would highly recommend!
Pizza was very good, a little floppy but great flavor. Pork sandwich and whipped ricotta were incredible. Good service and outdoor seating on a nice day.
Private event review!
My wife and I recently held our rehearsal dinner at Barbuzzo's upstairs event space. The staff was super accommodating, easy to work with and professional. But the food. We've loved their restaurant for years anyways, but we all had such a good time that we didn't end up rehearsing anything other than saying how delicious it was and trying to steal food from each other. Our out of town family was blown away and are now probably upset about their wedding dinner the next night. Highly recommend!
Came to Barbuzzo for the first time last night. We were staying downtown and it was only a 5 minute walk from our hotel, very convenient location. We couldn't get a reservation on the same night but when I called and asked for a 7pm reservation for 2, they suggested I walk in to be seated outside or at the bar and those seats were readily available when we arrived. We sat outside and ordered the watermelon and cucumber salad, the salsiccia pizza and the cacciocavallo stuffed meatballs. The salad was refreshing but a bit more floral than I was expecting. The nigella seeds and anise-tinged basil made for some interesting flavors. The meatballs were very tender and cheesy. And the pizza had crumbled sausage, ricotta, honey and pickled fresnos. It was the perfect combination with the crispy wood burned oven crust. For dessert, we had the salted caramel budino, and it may have been the best thing on the menu. The salted caramel was so deep, rich and addictive. I recommend a trip here for sure!
Charming small restaurant, great service. Small plates, good for sharing so you can try more items, all so delicious. Dessert was unbelievable.
Simply the best.
Listen, of all the restaurants that I went to for my weekend in Philly, Barbuzzo was hands down the best. The best food, the best price, the best service.
If I lived in Philly full time I think I would be a regular at their happy hour.
