Bea Taco Town reviews
24I ordered a vegetarian taco and it was delicious and loaded with guacamole, beans, rice, authentic Mexican cheese, and a big pepper. My son order the Dorados and said it was delicious. The restaurant wasn't very fancy inside and they didn't serve alcohol, but the food was really good. I would recommend stopping here if you are in the mood for good Mexican food.
My order is always messed up these days. Instead of beans on my burrito I got large raw onions. I always end up having to wait at least 20 minutes even when there is one person in front of me.
Wow so disappointing. I went to grab some chips and salsa they were out! Who has ever heard of that! So instead I ordered the chips and guacamole. When they brought me my order it was the tiniest cup, maybe 1oz, of guacamole I'd ever seen. I asked them if this was the right size and I was told yes. For $6! Ridiculous on top of that it wasn't even seasoned its like they just mashed an avocado and quickly topped with cilantro! I also ordered a side of beans and rice. Beans were good as usual rice had no seasoning whatsoever! Horrible! I used to love coming here, been coming for 3 years but quality keeps going down along with the portion size, I won't be back.
I've been craving tacos for over a month now but didn't want commercialized, frozen reheated garbage type. Looked at reviews for many different taco joints and decided to try this one. OMG! Can you say Heaven in a tortilla! First time I ordered just regular old tacos, nothing fancy. Seriously THE best tacos hands down I've ever eaten. The tortilla was amazing, great texture and yummy flavor. The meat had just the right amount of spicyness and made me feel like I died and went to Heaven. The pricing is reasonable as well. Have gone back a few times since and each time the food is always good and the service is excellent and friendly. THIS is authentic Mexican food!
Quick option for a good lunch. Typical Mexican type food choices. Guacamole and chips are fresh made and very good. Service is good and fast. Food is yummy (and looks good too.) Several different choices of meats.
The prices went up and it has not reflected on their website yet so I was a little taken back by the upcharge but other than that their food is really good.
Its bare bones Mexican cantinas and the food is very authentic. If you like the heat their inhouse sauce is a must try. I hope they continue to deliver the same quality in the future and not shift focus to the decor. Truly authentic experience and so reasonable. Great for quick tasty lunch
I just got two tacos. They were very dry with a small sprinkle of onion, 3 cilantro leaves and a scattering of rice. I also got a side of rice which is crunchy because it was not fully cooked.
Food is outstanding. Dont let the exterior and interior cool you. Great prices too. Come here often.
I love their place, their food is awesome and their hosts are great. I only wish they had a better website to order from, whenever I try and go on it it doesn't work well on my phone and I have to end up going to it in order to get my food.
It's good; it's basic and, unlike some places I could name, has not succumbed to the hipster disease of describing every single item on the menu as "artisanal". Even better, they don't attempt to force their "artisanal" re-interpretations Mexican street food on you: there is no duck confit anywhere on the menu; ditto to gruyere being used as the house cheese: it's not happening.
Try the cochinits pibil.
Great food! I've had the steak and beef Ranchero. Little spicy if you use all the sauce they give you. On cold days, it's best to take it back to the office because the doors constantly open and close and food can get cold. Chicken tacos are also very good. Line goes fast so don't let the crowd stop u from ordering.
Tasty tender meats, top notch tortillas, fast for lunch. Lots of flavorful and fragrant traditional mexican options. Chilorio, al pastor, pollo con mole, lengua, barbacoa, y mas.
I TOTALLY FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS PLACE MY FIRST TIME. I GO ALMOST EVERY CHANCE I GET WHEN IM DOWNTOWN. I BELIEVE IT KNOCKS CHIPOTLE OUT THE BOX.
Great tacos from a hole in the wall place. ~ $10 for 3 tacos. I go for steak with rice and beans, load on the onion and cilantro and salsa picante. If you want authentic Mexican food, this is the place to go. Shame that it’s only open on weekdays.
Since moving to Pittsburgh from Brooklyn a year ago, I've only come across a few restaurants that are worth saying something about, and Bea Taco Town is definitely one of those! I've been 3 times now, and was super impressed every time. Authentic and absolutely delicious. Really friendly employees too. Try the OMG tacos!
Paid $8 for a quesadilla I could’ve made in my microwave. Service was fast. Meh. Maybe the tacos are better.
Great Mexican food! Lunch options downtown are scarce these days but fortunately Bea Taco is here to save the day! Delicious Mexican food with authentic takes on many different plates. Highly recommend stopping in!
I went to this place based on the ratings and asked for recommendations from the hostess. Really did not enjoy the food despite the fact that I love Mexican food. No flavour and the meat inside was cold.
Went here today for the first time, will definitely be returning. Ordered takeout, short wait time and the fish taco was very good. Nice size portions, food was fresh and well displayed
