Beacon Hill Camping reviews
20We absolutely loved our stay at Beacon Hill! It's a very clean, we'll run CG with a farm around it. Loved the crowing rooster! The bathhouse is extremely clean and spacious. It's close to shopping and things to do during the day while quiet and peaceful in the evenings. Can't wait to visit again!
We spent a relaxing weekend at Beacon Hill Campground in Intercourse, PA. Adults 16 years and up welcome. QUIET, immaculately clean, and a very friendly staff and other campers. This small campground is tucked away on a country road alongside an Amish farm. Kitchen Kettle Village is located a half mile down the road offering unique shops, restaurants, and an Amish buggy ride for hire. On Saturday evenings a local, young Amish woman walks through the campground pulling a wagon FULL of baked goods. DELICIOUS! This was our first time camping here, but certainly not the last. Upper level for smaller trailers, lower level for the BIG boys. Full hook ups and Wi-fi.
Campground is very well kept, quiet, clean and fellow campers are very friendly. Would come back
This is an all adult over 16 campground. It is literally in the heart of Amish country. You wake up to a rooster crowing and he and his buddies visit the camp ground frequently just to strut their stuff with the Guinea hen's and a duck or 2. Big Belgium horses hang out across the road and there is a trout pond behind the building across the street.
There is a calming effect hearing the clip clip of the horses hooves up and down the road all day. It takes you back to a slower, calmer life. The campground has no pool but there is so much to do and see and places to go in this little town and countryside that you wouldn't want to waste time in a pool. Get out and find the Amish farms that offer fresh cheeses, milk, ice cream, butter, vases of flowers, handmade quilts and after all this go by the farm that has the homemade pretzels and homemade rootbeer floats. (You can find this stuff in town but why?) The people in town can tell you how to find the farm with the pretzels. You haven't had the best pretzel of your life if you haven't been to this farm! This is truly a wonderful experience to enjoy. Add Intercourse, Pennsylvania to your bucket list!
Very close to everything to do in Lancaster, the campground was a little tight for a big unit, I was in a 50 amp pull though and when we left had to back out, no way was going to pull out, but the campground is very quiet and clean, I would have liked to have a camp fire, but our spot just wasn't big enough and the permanent spot people were very nice, all in all the campground was good,
Phenomenal. Clean, cute and everything it was supposed to be. Restrooms and showers spotless each one of the dozen or so times I visited. Must've had someone around the corner waiting to rush in after each use? Lots of cool stuff to see within walking distance. Don't miss the trout farm behind the "Barn" down the street. $. 25 to feed. Amish working farms on all sides.
Although a wee bit tight on space, the location in Amish country couldn't be better, the staff is very warm and accommodating, the grounds are absolutely immaculate and very well kept, and best of all it's very very quiet - NO SCREAMING KIDS (under 16) are allowed! Beacon Hill Campground is now on our 'must return' list of places.
Exceptional little campground. Everything is meticulously maintained. Great restrooms and laundry room. Owners are very kind people.
Calmest, most peaceful place we've stayed.
All facilities, bathrooms and laundry perfect.
We recommend this place highly for a trip to the Amish Area of PA
To small sites hard to get in to close to other campers I can see in there windows I towed a car an trailer no place to put it parked on empty site sure not level better off camping in Walmart parking lot a n save v u your money
This campground is amazing. Super clean, very quiet, and the people who camp here are friendly. Perfect for a getaway.
Not for families. Otherwise.it was so quiet! Peaceful. Clean. Well managed. Great sites. Great neighbors. Will definitely go back!
This quaint campground is one of my favorites ever! We have a 25 ft motor home so were able to stay in the upper portion (i think Lot 9?) and it was perfect. A large field with amazing sunsets behind us, lots of shade, spacious lots, and on the other side of the campground, a small road that had a good bit of horse and buggy traffic. And it was overlooking an Amish farm where we watched farmers working the fields with their mules. It’s an easy walk into town, and a lovely little village with great shopping and some amazing quilts. The people who worked there were friendly and very helpful!
We loved Beacon Hill! Right in the middle of Amish country! We'll be back again! Very clean heated bathrooms, and a nice laundry room.
Very quiet location. Site was large, level and some shrubs provide privacy. Love this part of the USA
Beautiful small quiet campground. My husband and come twice a year and love it here. Spacious clean sites. Can get plenty of channels with antenna. Everyone is friendly. Did I mention super QUIET! Love it here
Beacon Hill was the perfect campsite for us. Lovely hosts, immaculate facilities and a beautiful location overlooking Amish farmland. Thank you Krista and Jake.
Amazing little campground, staff friendly, restrooms cleanest ever had. Wonderfully close to the Village. We drove up from Tennessee & had site #21 for 7 nights, awesome view of the farm & loved watching the horse & buggies going by, plus the tasty, fresh baked goods that the Amish brought by Fri/Sat evenings to purchase. Cannot wait to return!
We have been coming here off and on for 10 or 12 yrs and love the campground, it's always clean, affordable and convenient to everything in this part of the Amish country.
