Bear Mountain Butterfly Sanctuary reviews
17 Such a Beautiful place! And the people who work there are the nicest people! The gift shop wasnt overpriced either which is a big thing for me being i have a 3 y.o and 13 y.o lol. We were so glad we made the hour ½ drive! We will be returning again.
Highly Recommended
Such an amazing experience. The workers are so wonderful and do such a great job. The butterflies are beautiful. Please, please, please be careful when you walk in the door and don't step on the butterflies. Some of them land on the floor. Somebody stepped on a butterfly when I went there and such a shame.
Cute little spot that took up empty time in our day. It is very little BUT the staff really do anything they can to do educate you and help you. The staff were so friendly and helpful!
Cute little place, staffed by knowledgeable and passionate people. If you like butterflies, even a little, check this place out!
This is a very tiny place but they had interesting creatures and very nice staff. They had a nice area for young kids to play too.
They had axolotls when we went which I had never heard of but they aren't in the wild so that was cool.
Great value! The staff is very knowledgeable and loves sharing their knowledge with guests. The butterfly area is a little smaller, so pack your patience while you wait your turn. Once in the butterfly area, please don't set up camp as others are also waiting for the experience. While waiting there are lizards and frogs and turtles to educate and entertain you. To keep the entrance fee small and the butterflies flying, consider spending some money in the gift shop or making an additional donation to the cause!
Beautiful! The staff is lovely. They are doing amazing work to keep the butterfly population thriving Nice gift shop!
That place is a must stop. Sarah, wow she was so awesome and knowledgeable. Great vibes and happy staff. The butterflies were well loved and beautiful. The whole experience was amazing. It’s a under an hour visit- I was with 2 other adults. Great entry price, clean and affordable souvenirs. Thanks guys!
What a gem! We came without kids- being interested in it ourselves and in that carefree time of our lives of grown children. The guides are wonderful, engaging and informative. As our guide shared on the amphibians and others…her enthusiasm was such a delight to see. We recommend. If I had a little one in tow I am sure we would have been there long, long time.
Be careful of hitchhikers.
Spent more time here than we expected. The staff were so knowledgeable and truly enjoyed sharing everything they knew. We'll be visiting again, for sure.
Absolutely adorable little sanctuary! The staff were all very knowledgeable and clearly have a love for what they do.
The butterflies were amazing but once the tour lady left the room 3 minutes we have to leave to see the classroom thing but the reptiles were not in the most safest enclosure
Had a wonderful time.
Very educational and excellent people very nice and knowledgeable to ask questions to. Recommend for all ages to visit.
Fantastic place for all ages. Staff is experienced, knowledgeable, nice and kind. Definitely, worth stopping in. See their awesome butterfly room, where the butterflies fly free. Fees are affordable if you want to go in the butterfly room. They also have a variety of items for sale
Awesome little shop. I went with my girlfriend and had a blast! The workers were super nice and friendly, the gift shop was fun to look at, and the butterfly section was sooo cool. I really think you should come down with your kid and participate in their classes they hold about the butterfly if given the opportunity. Expect a 1-2 hour stay.
The ladies here were wonderful and really went above and beyond to educate and enhance our experience.
Two function rooms for arts and crafts, educational materials, and tanks holding frogs, lizards, turtles, etc. The butterfly room is small, but adequate.mostly monarchs, but there were orange julias, swallowtail, painted ladies, malachite, and few others too.up close and personal.the staff were quite nice.just as it was advertised.price seemed fair.
