Best Line Equipment / Bobcat of Mechanicsburg, Hampden Township PA

I have been utilizing the services of Best line Equipment Mechanicsburg for about 10 years. I have had my zero turn mower repaired here, my regular rider, my trimmer, snowblower, and they are normally priced fair and done as fast as possible. They communicate well through the process, calling to let you know what something will cost before making the repair. I have also rented some equipment: a tool used to bury a line (for dog invisible fence), small excavator and skid loader for work at my property. The small excavator sprung a hydraulic fluid leak after a few minutes of use. This was also on a Saturday. I called (and i was worried they would charge me a lot for coming out) someone came after about 1 hour and fixed it in about 30 minutes. I was back to my french drain digging. They didn't charge me at all for them responding. I also bought my Stihl trimmer from them about 10 years ago and it still runs like a champion. I just bought a blower (the BG50) from Wayne and it runs great as well. I would definitely recommend this place to purchase or rent equipment.

Love.this place. The staff is always friendly, eager to help, knowledgeable in their fields, and fun! There's no better place to buy or rent equipment from in Central Pennsylvania.

I know I am not a big time commercial client, just a homeowner with a couple rental units. But these guys treated me great, didn't scoff at my amateur questions, and when I had a flat tire on a Bobcat they we're super responsive. They probably could have charged me an exorbitant service fee, but they didn't. If they treat me these way, I'm sure they will treat anyone this well! TC, the guy who helped me at the counter, was awesome!

Wayne was extremely helpful and professional in helping me purchase a new Stihl chainsaw. I will certainly do business with this company in the future.

Looking for a good hometown supplier for my equipment needs. Everything was professional and courteous with my business and purchase. Wayne answered every question and showed the attention to detail l desired. Excellent contact and equipment supplier.

They have good equipment at decent prices, parts guys are helpful and know what they are doing, rental counter guys are on top of their game too, the guys in the back at equipment pick up and drop off, need to work a little harder at acknowledging customers so at least we know someone is going to take care of us!

Amazing customer service. The employees at this company are extremely professional and very courteous of their customers. If I ever need to rent anything for my house or yard work, Bestline will be the place I go.

Went in to rent an impact wrench, according to their website they had the size I needed. Got there and they looked at me like I had three heads when I asked to rent the equipment and told me they didn't even know what they had. They did not have the size I needed, (go figure), so I decided to rent a different size. They took down all of my information and my credit card and THEN brought me the impact that was not even working correctly. Through this entire process I was given a snooty attitude and made to feel like I did not belong there. So they advertise online equipment they don't even have and don't keep proper inventory or maintain their equipment. That was my first time there and I definitely will not be going back.

Great selections on rental equipment for everything you would need or want to do at your own house or as a contractor. Found equipment that given me new ideas for my own house.

Uncaring store manager attempted to gouge Veterans in time of need.
We needed a generator to help keep our older guys cool at the Fairgrounds. With trepidation, a friend recommended them as having the quiet Honda generators. He said they are difficult to deal with but should have what we need.
We like the quiet generators because some of the guys have PTSD and it keeps them up at night.
So, we find out that we have to rent the generator for a full week when we only needed it for 4 days. Sure, OK, it is last minute, we are used to compromise.
BUT, to have it picked up on Sunday would be HUNDREDS of dollars more. Just to pick up a portable generator!
I tried to negotiate for my Brothers, but Nick was unyeilding even after admitting it would take him very little time and he lived fairly close. He just didn't want to be put out on a Sunday unless he could make a windfall. He also admitted that he decided the pricing.
We are a group of over 100 people. Guess where we will NEVER rent from?
And I temper this review by referring you to my other reviews. I rarely give negative reviews and always give the benefit of the doubt.
Sorry. Not this time.

Purchased a backpack leaf blower at DriveKore, they would not honor the gas cap recall and replace mine and also were smart mouths. Best Line Equipment took care of the problem in 15 minutes! They were knowledgeable, fast, and professional all the way!

UPDATE:
I ended up being able to rent the backhoe and trailer. The unit worked as expected.
Within 1 hour of leaving the store, I received a call from the off duty store manager. Nick was a big help. I was able to rent the unit that day and was able to workout special arrangements for its return.

FIRST POST:
Not one person knows what they have or when you can rent it.
DO NOT CALL FIRST.they will tell you they have it then when you get there they look at you like they didn't JUST talk to you.

I went there twice. The first time I was there the unit I reserved was not there. Luckily for me, somebody just returned one and I rented it.
The second time I reserved a mini backhoe.
I called Wednesday and was told I could pick it up Friday IF they have a trailer.
NO call on Friday so I call them. They had both the backhoe and trailer, but they needed to service it. Okay, I'll pick them up Saturday. I get there Saturday morning to find they don't have them. They didn't even know when it was rented or when it would be returned.
Long story short they either do not know what they have or its availability or they just tell you what you want to hear.
If you are a small contractor avoid them at all cost. They will waste MUCH of your time and money.
