Best Western Hunt'S Landing Hotel Matamoras/Milford

Overall great experience. We got stranded here unfortunately after a long day of traveling in the snow for the holidays. Staff was great and accommodated me, my fiance, and our cat on a few hours notice. Breakfast was good and I'd recommend it if you're in the area.

The king room is nice, clean, and generally exceeded my expectations. I signed up for their rewards and basically got the room for about $50 less than a comparable room at the Hampton Inn. I’ll add that my rating is relative to the caliber of hotel this is.

Stayed 2 nights here. I'm a Diamond member, no acknowledgement and not given the complimentary water bottle. (If you advertise the rewards and include it in your surveys, you should follow through). They even advertise this on the TV in the lobby lol.

Anyways regarding the room, the bathroom was the issue. Very old and updated, mold can be seen on the walls in the tub as well as on the walls by the bathroom mirror.

They don't provide housekeeping. I went to the front desk to request toilet paper (room only came with half a roll) on the first day and towels on the second day. Both times were the same lady working, Bianca and both times she never brought the items up. I had to go back downstairs.

The staff was amazing. Breakfast area and lobby was absolutely stunning.however, the room was not so great. It was a non smoking room but it smelled like the prior guests smoked. The toilet and the tub looked old and not maintained or clean. And the pool was warm and comfortable but again not very clean.

Very outdated.toilet needs to be held for a long time to even begin flushing, Heating lamp knob was broken upon entry, coffee machine didnt work, dogs barking everywhere, people were smoking pot in the stairwell w a huge bong in endway door like its nothing, front desk staff was talking about suboxen for $30 a pill in front of guests eating breakfast, orange juice machine was orange water from a bag (wasnt changed often), room stunk upon entry, internet and even power went out same week we stayed, and im sure much more I havent thought of off top of my head.
To top it off, these people took my kids birthday money 2 days after we left and claimed we damaged their already damaged room. OVER $200.
Sick part is we stayed over a week and they didnt clean even one single time.probably to scam a *cleaning fee* out of us.
Not only will I never stay again. I will steer every human in their area I ever come across away as well, which will be alot since I live in area.
This place is just a failing hotel in an area not busy enough for a hotel, so they hustle hard working and tired people with extra charges when out the door, to stay afloat.

Great place to stay. Just one note. They need to have pest control do a better job. Killed 2 live bugs in bathroom. Little one's.

The staff is very polite and friendly. Constantly welcoming you with a smile.
However the building, hallways, rooms themselves are in desperate need of attention. We reserved a block of rooms for an event, and i compared each room. The rooms were filthy, hair all over the bathroom walls, toilets are stained with a nasty brown color residue, the sheets were not on the bed properly, breakfast was subpar- the overcooked scrambled eggs were floating in water, they offered sausages and had a waffle station which the dispenser would get clogged. I was very unhappy with my overall experience especially for the price I paid. It was $200 and this price was discounted from the original $250+ it originally cost. Honestly i would love to refund myself and all my guests from the event because the quality of the hotel was not worth spending this radical amount of money. I would have rather gone across the road to the hampton inn and spent my money elsewhere

One of the oldest in the area and it feels it. The staff were very good and it was the closest to where we needed to be and worked out

This hotel by far surpassed our expectations, from the staff at the front desk to breakfast the next morning when the kitchen staff constantly cleaning the food area. When the chef came out and asked me and other guests if everything was ok that was great. Then she came over to tell us that fresh baked cookies were just brought out.cant say enough about this hotel, checked in 10-9-22 @5pm and had breakfast at 6: 15am on 10-10-22

Great place for the price NOT one of the best
Dog friendly and Dog run on side of property definitely a plus

TV didn't work properly, beds are sagging, pillows are too big and stiff, 1/2 roll of toilet paper, no kleenix, could use a decent cleaning.

Centrally located to what we were doing. Nice home base. Free breakfast was key. Pool was nice at end of our day. WIFI was pretty much non-existent, but I didnt care, as my data worked fine.

The exhaust fan in bathroom did not work, other than that the room and hotel was very nice

Very comfortable bed and the room was nice as well. Our initial rook smelled like smoke although it was nonsmoking and the front desk accommodated by giving us another room sorry no pics
