Awful agency. They do not care about the children in your care, and they do not care about foster parents. They pin you against bio parents, and then punish you and keep you in the dark. Foster care is messy in general, but these guys add to the mess and make it nearly impossible to function as anywhere close near a normal human being. Our family worker was supportive, but all the higher ups were very rude and would not hear our concerns or even teach us and be transparent. Everything was very vague and as new foster parents, we had no clue how anything worked.

Thankfully, we are very close to the bio parents and see our former foster boys (who were very successfully reunified) very often. We get to have overnights, play dates, bdays and more with them and have way more freedom because we (and the bio parents) worked to have a friendship, no thanks to the agency or county.

They falsely accused us of several things and if they ever wanted to come back and re-list those…. I have the receipts and proof, which they could not provide when they were giving us a hard time at the end of our relationship.

Words can not even describe how bad this company is like others have said outside of Kate that does a good job training the rest of your experience is horrible. There is no support once kids are placed. The caseworkers are overworked and down right rude to both the kids and adults. This company is a joke runaway from it as fast as you can. I strongly recommend Diakon Adoption and Foster Care

People need to know the truth. Outside of Katie who does an excellent job training you. Bethany Harrisburg is horrible. You will constantly be lied to by your caseworker. There is no help available when you needed. Some people within the organization are outright rude. This is a company states that they have Christian values but there staff could care less.

I have spent a few months trying to figure out how I would put my horrible experience with this particular location of Bethany into words. We chose BCS because so many people recommended it to us (from around the country).

We are a good family with a lot of love to share. There is a precious bedroom ready and waiting. We have a giant support system and a son thrilled to be a younger brother.

However we were told we "don't fit the area's demographics" so no, we could not foster to adopt, and did we have questions?

I had a lot of questions. Unfortunately for us if they would have answered any of those questions I could have called a lawyer immediately and filed discrimination charges.

Despite being Christian we shared the wrong politics and noted the sour turn things took.

Worst of all according to them we had seen a child advertised as needing a home by another instate agency. She's been in the system for at least four years. She will never know how hard we tried or how Bethany blocked us.

Our caseworker Nicole her manager Tai were cold, unkind and viper-esque. They set up a nonsensical meeting prior to denying us with what seems like laying the groundwork for what they needed so it wouldn't be obvious discrimination.

My husband and I later read that they adopted children out to abusive homes and didn't do anything about it when those same children reported the families and returned to BCS for help. They had to wait to write their reviews years later which you can read for yourself. I'm sickened over that.

Corrupt Christions. Find a better service to help you. Be the Light God wants you to be and don't let BCS stop you from wanting a particular child who needs a home.
