Bill's Old Bike Barn reviews
17Bill’s old bike barn is absolutely amazing. I was there twice within two days to show it off to family members. Talking with Bill and his buddy was amazing so much information and knowledge! Will definitely return just to be taken back in time!
Extensive collection of almost everything. Takes more than one visit to see it all. It was my second visit and instill didn't see everything
Being retired we like to get out once a week to places within a couple of hours drive of home. This week it was Bill's. We were not disappointed. Lots of fun stuff not just motorcycles to take you down memory lane. My only criticism is that the there are too many of some things. The camera collection for instance. Instead of a couple thousand with many being multiples, thin it out to a couple of hundred and present them by decade so we could follow the changes and improvements over time. But still a fun place. It takes 4 to 6 hours to go through and see alot. You can never take it all in in a day. Highly Recommend
My wife and I have lived in the area our whole lives. We wish we would have gone there sooner! The place is awesome, will definitely be back!
Amazing place! We had no idea what it would be like- it’s a museum of everything! Americana- impossible to describe! A wonder of wonders! Everyone should see this collection of American life!
Very unique though mostly male oriented. Very clean and well laid out. Great if you like retro and historical places. $20 per person is a little steep but one visit is worth it for something to do. Presidency section leans towards lookin like they are republican true supporters though.
Google hours on Sat are wrong, open till 6pm, cost is $10, not $5. It is well worth the $10. They have some great stuff, even if you're not into motorcycles.
Words cannot describe my visit It was something kinda experience that is totally awesome. So much to see and lots to learn as well. Ross was an exceptional greeter and very knowledgeable. I plan to re-visit as I am sure I missed somethings. This place is certainly 100% a must visit for anyone.
Fabulous fun for the whole family! Great rainy day date. I've shared great memories with the kids in my family for years. And it keeps growing! Something exciting around every corner. Something for everyone. A true Gem! Barbies to a giant baseball. Curious George to brass cats. Dinoraurs, to a Donkey motorcycle. Rolls Royce pick up to how to make shoes. And there's a motorized bike that's over 100 yrs old. A place to have a picnic to a place to hold a banquet.it's Something worth making a trip to see.
Very nice place, something for everybody in here.friendly staff, this place is a MUST SEE.
Bill's Old Bike Barn is a one of a kind museum and tourist attraction that should not be missed. The museum consists of a man's collection of motorcycles and other vehicles, as well as vintage items, antiques, and modern collections of items. There is surely something for everyone to look at here.
When you arrive, they hand you an audio device that has some interpretive information, but I took away one star for lack of information on some of the displays. Some bikes or displays had numbers that you can hear a story from the owner on the audio device with a 1-2 minute explanation. However, there are so many thinks that I stood and wondered what it was or the story behind it That got me me frustrated that I didn't always know what I was looking at.
The second star came off for what I thought was a lack of safety in the building. To get to the upper floor, most stairs were very steep spiral staircases, no exit signs, and lack of modern safety features that you would expect in a building that is not that old.
I would not let my negative statements deter you from visiting. It is well worth the $10 entry fee. I spent much more on other unique places. I actually added a star back on from the value this place gives. I was there 3 hours, didn't see it all, and will surely be back.
Moving experience that makes you remember the past with great emotion, the owner is super friendly.interesting experience that we enjoyed 100%
An incredible collection with interesting stories. Free to enter and look around. $10/person to get the audio guides tour.
We were on our way back from vacation and I found this place thinking my husband would like it because of the motorcycles but I think I did more then him. The owner was there and it was nice to talk to him. The place was set up like no other museum I've ever been in. It was made like a city with stores on either side of the street lined by motorcycles. Each store was different and set up with antiques for that type of store. There was a room full of old military items, plus motorcycles of course and the upstairs was full of all kinds of other antique items. There wasn't an inch untouch but was so well set up that it did not seem cluttered at all. I could have easily spent hours in there and probably still not seen everything but didn't have time too. Make sure you have plenty of time to look around but if you don't please don't let that stop you from going because it is well worth the stop in either case. Will I go back again if I'm in the area? Without a dought I would and will make sure I have more time.
If you enjoy museums and you're in the Pocono area, "Bill's Old Bike Barn" is worth a stop. Admission is $10. Yes, there are several motorcycles, but his collection also includes model boats, cameras, telephones, furniture, toys and many other items from throughout the past century. His narrations about the different pieces in the building really adds depth to the experience. I've deducted a star because some of the exhibits contain so many pieces that it can be overwhelming. Additionally, for this motorcycle enthusiast, "Wheels Through Time" still sets the benchmark.
What a wonderful and crazy collection of vintage motorcycles, memorabilia, and more! I visit for the motorcycles but always find myself enjoying some of the other collections.
Bill has motorcycles and everything else in this museum. It well worth going too. We spend 2 hours and still did not see everything. Met Bill, Great Guy.
