This is by far the worst donation center went there 4 times to be led on to come back for them to check and say they couldn't find my veins but when I give blood the doctors find it easily the nurse at yhe front is the rudest off all they raise there voice if you ask a general question. They took plasma on 1st visit but from then on they just try to get you out the door. If I could give them 0 stars I would they don't care about there donors. Don't go here

I have donated at this location when it was biotest and I currently donate at a different plasma center. I decided to check out the new place and got nothing but attitude from the second I walked in. I figured people have bad days so it's okay, I'll just get through the new donor process and donate another time. Then I was told I needed to have my medication cleared by my doctor (no opiates or anything that should have stopped me from donating) so I brought the paper to my doctor and had it faxed back to them. Then they tell me due to my diagnosis I couldn't donate.so the medications are okay but my diagnosis some how affects my plasma? Never again!

You would think at 10 am after being open for 2
hours someone would answer the phone. (Nope that didn't happen). You would think after calling 3 times I would get someone. (um no no nope uh-uh nope) Why answer your phones when u get paid to walk around and talk all day? Guess I'll go somewhere that I can get a hold of a person that cares about true business educate. Oh last thing get someone to answers your phone calls.especially if your business is relying on customers. Smh

I would have to say this is one of the worst experiences I've had at a donation center. Outdated machines I felt like I was getting an electric shock Because the needle wasn't in all the way at times never experienced that before. Wait times we're very long. The people Who stick you and draw the plasma Haven't been trained very well And because they are so short staffed Over worked They are making mistakes. The last time I was there I watched this lady Go around and everybody that she stuckThey had a problem during their donations process When she stuck me She messed my arm up and I wasn't able to finish this donation process. Then they tried to make it seem like it was my veins that were the problem when nobody has ever had a problem. And she said out her own mouth " oh nothings working today I keep messing everything up" but then continued to let her work. So just be Careful!

Don't bother making an appt on the website, it doesn't matter and no one checks who has appointment or not. The appointment is only for the initial screening and you MUST tell them you have an appointment otherwise you'll be sitting waiting to be called to have your blood pressure/weight and everything else taken with the rest of the crowd.

I was there for my first time on a Sunday. Small crew working. Everyone was polite except this one employee. She was extremely disrespectful towards a Co worker who had an accent. She was mocking her, and telling her how silly she sounds. The woman took it in stride. Like most people in this situation would do. I wish I would have spoke up while I was there but didn't want to make the situation any more uncomfortable for the worker. That type of ignorance should not be tolerated. Will not recommend.

Great people everytime especially Liz and Brenda! They do such an exceptional job. Those 2 are amazing workers and take time to give attention even with being under staffed.

This was my first time donating plasma in about a month. I had received a text that said if I came in, I would receive a $100 bonus.

I went in, excited to get this bonus. I went through the questionnaire, then was called to one of the private booths. The lady had me jump on the scale and said “wow, you’ve lost a lot of weight since last time you were here. ” I then went on to donate plasma, and then as I was coming to the end of the donation, I had looked up and realized that they were taking 825ml of plasma from me.

The thought had then occurred, okay Bruce it’s been a month or so since you’ve been here and you’ve been steadily losing weight. So when the lady came to finish everything up from my session, I asked her “hey, how do you know how much plasma gets taken from you? ” And she kindly replied that “if you’re 150 and up, you donate 825ml and if you’re below 150, then you donate 600ml. ” At this point I had asked her, okay so is there any sort of documentation that you give your clients so they can see how much plasma they are donating at each weight level. I then asked the lady, what was my weight for today. She then scrolled through my paperwork, and her mouth dropped open as she said it was exactly 150. I told her how I have been losing weight over the past few months and how I keep track of my weight with a BMI scale every morning and that I know that I’ve been under 150, so if I had know that I donate less plasma being under 150, I would’ve taken my jacket off. Then I wondered, why didn’t the staff have me take my jacket off, or my phone out of my pocket before getting on the scale.

Also, I had asked. “how come the lady in the booth didn’t have me take off my jacket or everything out of my pockets”

If I was truly 150 exactly, then taking any bit of my jacket or clothing off would’ve dropped me to the next level of giving less plasma. Also, the lady had even said to me “wow, you’ve lost a lot of weight since last time you were here” so you would think that if Grifols cared about their clients giving plasma safely, then they would double check their weight after having such a sudden weight change.

Why are these amounts of plasma being taken in correlation to your body weight not being disclosed?

Why are clients not being told to take their jackets off, phones out of their pockets, etc when being weighed?

These are peoples lives.

What are the adverse effects if someone donates too much plasma? What are the effects if someone has too much plasma taken from them when they aren’t supposed to have that much taken?

Why is this okay and how did they let this happen?

I’ve donated plasma in the past before and it’s caused me to get very tired or even possibly faint. What if someone has too much plasma taken out of them because of a staff at Grifol’s and then gets in a car accident because they fainted due to having too much plasma taken from them?

I asked the manager, and they said it’s not their problem. The computer decides how much you donate. I asked them “why wasn’t I told to take off my jacket or things out of my pockets” to which they then said, “they never told you to do that? ” I said no. Then they flipped and said “oh, well your body weight changes from day to day based on what you eat. I said “well if that is the case, then why is there different categories for how much people donate and what are the risks associated with donating more than you should? ”

They told me that they are not responsible and that it is not their problem.

I’ve been donating for several yrs now. I’ve always enjoyed my experience. But what I am not understanding is why I’m making appointments to donate and walk ins are still being allowed during Covid, which puts the center at legal capacity. Which means My wait time with an appointment is twice as long on some days! Through no fault of staff! But full compacity! This is not only unfair to those donors that make an appointment but also to the staff that is working diligently to keep donors safe and processed as quickly as possible! I’m suggesting you rethink this policy!

Everyone is always nice and friendly. The facility is always kept clean and wiped down regularly. The only thing I can complain about is that they ask if I'm ok every time they stick me with a needle. I'm fine other than a needle in my arm.

The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They are keeping all donors sperated by am empty bed for social distancing and have lowered and spaced out the waiting area chairs also. They also do temperature checks at the door before you can enter and require you to sanitize upon entry before and after using the computers. It's been very reassuring through the pandemic that it's safe to donate still.

Poor communication between staff members. You get told one thing by one staff member then you get told something completely different from another.

My trust in this place is long gone now. Either fix this communication problem or continue losing donors.
