I placed an online order directly with them. It said it would be ready in 25 minutes and I got a confirmation email that said a specific pick up time. When we went, the order wasn't ready - in fact, the order wasn't started. They told my son that they didn't check whatever app they use for online ordering and just didn't see it. He waited 45 minutes for the order. They are much more focused on Door Dash orders.

The food was very good - but I'm not sure I'll go there again - that seems like a bad business practice to offer ordering options and then ignore some of them. If you do order pickup - I'd suggest using Door Dash and not the direct order option. 3 stars because the food was good.

I will say the curry itself was very tasty. My two roommates liked theirs as well. BUT the amount of chicken and rice we all received in our food was disgraceful for lack of a better word. For the amount of money we paid we should be able to have a meals worth of food each right? Well I wouldn't even consider the amount of chicken in my chicken curry was even"appetizer" or "snack" worthy. To consider the amount of food we each got for our orders an entree is laughable.

We ordered biryani, but that was not biryani. They should hire someone who actually knows how to cook biryani. Especially Pakistani community never ever try and waste your money, even someone who don’t know how to cook biryani he or she can be cook much better than their biryani. No taste and price above average.

Great halal Indian restaurant with authentic and very flavorful food. The decor and space are well done and sets a very comfortable family vibe. Biryani portions are good enough to share among 2-3 people. So happy this exists in Allentown!

Got charged twice and the owner refused to reimburse. Customer service here is trash. Everyone that works for this establishment is rude.

We order from here often, food is good. Unfortunately there was no dine in, only takeout. They are not to consistent with the time they say when the food will be ready for pickup. Sometimes you got to wait an extra 15 minutes. But this place is VERY BUSY for takeout.

Ordered from here for delivery, got the chicken curry and paneer saag. So good, did the medium American spice level and was perfect, love that they have American and Indian spice levels. Definitely want to go in person to this place.

Delicious authentic South Indian food, good restaurant in Allentown/Bethlehem/Easton/Lehigh Valley area. Excellent front desk customer service. Awesome chefs and taste is always consistent in every order. Don’t miss to taste Briyani as restaurant name”Briyani City” is meaningful

We ordered for takeout around 7.45 pm on Saturday and asked to come after 1 hr. We went there around 8.45 and we had to wait for 5-10 min for picking our food. Crowded for picking order and there was about 5 different order pickup was waiting to pick food. As such we ordered boneless chicken biriyani, mutton biriyani, pepper chicken, chicken 65, chilli chicken, added to we asked for spicy on all items. Literally everything was very spicy (no complaint, since we asked thought we could handle it), but we were not able to enjoy the food due to spiciness. Consider while asking for spiciness. Food tasted good apart from the spiciness. Store does not have dine in and only takeout. Place an order early to avoid extra long wait time. We were crossing this area, so we had ordered a hour before we reach the area. Portions were good. Price is above average but not pricy. Will recommend this store

Food is absolutely delicious. Long wait though during peak hours. I appreciate that their menu options specify American mild, American medium, American spicy, Indian mild, Indian medium and Indian spicy. It really helps you have a better idea what to expect when indicating the taste level.

Update: now giving them 3 stars. It was our second time there and this time we placed two orders of the Chicken Tikka Misala and we were only given one order of rice. When I called and told them we were missing an order of rice, we were told if you order multiples of the same meat then you still only get one order of rice. While the container is only slightly open in the picture, you can see there was still plenty of space. They could have at least filled the container with more rice.

Horrible service, tables and atmosphere were dirty and disgusting, and the host told us to wait 10 minutes to be seated when there was no one in the restaurant.

I went to biryani city twice so far and ordered goat biryani and chicken biryani. The goat biryani was ok but chicken biryani was too much spicy! We asked so many times to make it medium spicy but it was way more spicer both the times. Please keep the biryani little less spicy! Even the naan were so hard, kids Cudnt eat at all. Chicken 65 was good but they really need to improve on their spice level.

Bad takeout, the chili chicken had barely any onions. The flavor was very dull and felt like the chef had changed. In the future I hope they follow the same recipe and provide better takeout food.

It's my go to place for weekends. My usual dishes are majestic or Appollo fish/chicken, mutton biryani. Recently tried shrimp biryani which was good on my first attempt but second try was not impressive. Biryani quantity and quality is exceptional compared to the other Indian restaurants near this area. Biryani City is literally the city of biryanies!

I'm expecting them to serve the platters again which I love the most!

Every weekend when I come to work at the hospital my colleagues are sooooo excited to see me. Why? Because they know on weekends we order the best Indian food in Pennsylvania from Biryani City. The food is amazing and the service is extraordinary. Kamal treats us like family. I’ve tried dozens of different dishes and they are all amazing. The spice is always perfect. If your in the area try Biryani City. You will not be disappointed. Don’t leave without a yummy mango lassi.
