We came with friends for a nice night out. For appetizers, we tried the bongo bongo and Chesapeake crab dips, and both were very good. Then, my husband and I each had a bowl of French onion soup. It was very light on onions and heavy on salt, but we ate it as it wasn't completely inedible. Three of us got smokehouse salads. Nice portion and presentation, but my friend's had almost no dressing, and mine was drowning in it. The homemade bacon bits would have been better if cooked just a little more, and everyone's croutons were burnt. Again, we ate because, for the most part, it wasn't inedible except the croutons, but our opinions were not very good either. Main courses, 2 steak meals, both ordered medium rare, one was closer to medium well and the other border line medium but flavor was good baked potato and mashed for the other both good choices. Chesapeake salmon with broccoli was good. Then there were the scallops and asparagus. The presentation was very nice, portion perfect and perfectly cooked but so over salted I couldn't eat them and the asparagus was old and tough. The salt actually burned my throat. I asked the others to try a bit to make sure it wasn't just me. Everyone agreed on too much salt. I had to return the meal. Our server was pleasant but seemed either a little inexperienced or overwhelmed, but she tried very hard to make everything right, kudos to her. For the atmosphere, our booth was right next to the kitchen, lots of traffic going by. For the prices, we all expected better overall.

Maybe I shouldn’t compare this location to the one in Selinsgrove, but aren’t they supposed to bring cornbread beforehand if you order dinners? I think it’s just generally hard operating an establishment with a bunch of young girls. Will continue coming here, the dinner vibe just seems off from what it used to be, maybe it’s just post-Covid dining.

Brought home a lil' somethin for a midnite snack! (see "bongo~bongo dip". Photo). A great experience at BJ's Danville! Our first visit to this location. We walked through the door and greeted by a familar face, Miss. Heather, all smiles! This set the tone for our evening. Seated at a comfy booth, promptly Miss. Sarah, our waitress arrived taking our drink order. I was very happy to see Pressed Coffee served at this location too, it's a favorite of mine at the Selinsgrove location. Drinks came fast! We placed our order and settled in for some conversation and to take in "the vibe". Koul art throughout. A really nice bar area.another dining room in the rear of the restaurant, boasting huge windows, add to the open air feel of this dining room. I also saw an outside dining area, great for the warmer months! Miss. Sarah arrived at our table with our dinner choices.for the Mrs. A Blue cheese burger.and for myself, Bongo~Bongo Chicken and of course we had BJ's legendary "Bongo~Bongo Dip". A must have at every visit to BJ's. Everything was perfection, cooked to order and HOT. Miss Sarah kept a close eye on our drinks, making sure we were never in need of anything. No desert this time, as we were just too full. A awesome first visit to the Danville location. Thanks for the hospitality Miss. Heather.and the spot on service Miss. Sarah. BJ's Danville, we will definitely be back!

Party of four for dinner. The only one who made a good choice ordered the chicken sandwich. Two people ordered the 6 oz Chicago steak, both ordered medium rare. Don't think it was a 6 oz portion and it was poorly cut which may have contributed to both steaks being very over cooked, closer to well done than medium rare. The salt baked potatoes were partially edible as one half of each potato was under cooked. Last order was the scallops. They were over cooked and arrived in a small puddle of blackish water and oil on top of what was supposed to be remoulade. Tasted mostly of mustard. Asparagus were overcooked, limp and stringy. Only positive note were the salads - fresh and served on chilled plates. BJ'S was a second choice as the restaurant we wanted to go to didn't open until 5pm and usually require reservations. For at least two of us, this will be the last visit to BJ'S.

Delicious food, I always recomend eating here. Great atmosphere and decent pricing for the quality and what you get.

One huge disappointment. My friends have eaten here for years, and years.

None of us even finished our meals. Everything except the bongo-bongo dipping sauce was dog food.

Expensive, low-quality food from a business that is living on a gimmick.

I love the cornbread. All the entrees I ordered were delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Friendly, professional, service provided in a
super fun basement atmosphere.
Delicious entrees: steak cooked to perfection, delicious spicy fish with curried veggies, & an absolutely outstanding bleu cheese wedge salad.
YUM & YUM!
A delightful Friday evening outing.

I used to absolutely love BJs.what a shame. I wish I would have checked the reviews prior to wasting our time and money. The staff were very professional and welcoming; our food was disgusting. For starters, we ordered clams casino, jumbo gulf shrimp (review pics for a laugh) and raw oysters. All 3 were gross. The clams casino was barely a clam but somehow we ended up chewing on shell pieces. The oysters were awful. Now for our entrees, my son got the salmon.don't, just don't. I got the bongo bongo burger. It was on a stale bun and was small and overcooked. My husband thought the same about his burger. The sides were equally as bad. I swear my baked beans were raw and had a terrible smoked flavor. French fries were gross.how can you not even get French fries right? The best part of our meal was my daughter's Mac and cheese. So I guess if you go, stick with the kids meals? We were all disappointed and although we didn't complain, we will not be returning. Ever. Save your money. NOT worth the $150 we spent.

Made reservations. We waited 25 min and no server came. I finally asked about our server and it was 10 more minutes until someone came. No apology or explanation. Restaurant was not busy. It took very long for our appetizers to come. Meals were ordered and when they came, my friend ordered medium rare steak which came well done. She also did not get her side of broccoli or the drink she ordered. My other friend did not get her side of fries with her meal. My pasta and my other friend’s pasta came out extremely dry, stuck together, with barely any sauce and appeared to be microwaved. Asked to speak to a manager and no one came for 15+ minutes. And when she did come she did not introduce herself nor did she listen to any of our concerns. She simply told us we didn’t have to pay for our meal, only our drinks, and walked away. Then, to make matters worse, they didn’t even split our checks correctly. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant and I will never ever consider going back and recommend that no one ever go there.

Overall the the it was good, but it was very hot in the restaurant. And for being a seafood restaurant it didn’t have much seafood

The salmon with pesto sauce dinner I had here June 29 2023 was one of the best meals I've ever had. The entire meal was seasoned and cooked to perfection and the salad was perfectly fresh. The quality at this culinary gem is on a par with the best you can find in Manhattan and Chicago. If I'm ever back in Danville, this is where I'm dining.

We went for our anniversary and wanted to get ribs, so we went here. The ribs were soooo charred they tasted like charcoal. The inside meat was ok, but not much there. We could have had the same meal with a full rack of ribs at another place for the same price! WE WILL NEVER BE BACK!

Service was impeccable. The food was delicious. Sirloin steak was a little tough, but while seasoned scallops were done to perfection, good Caesar salad, and of course, the espresso martini topped it all off.

I was in the area for an issue with my son at the hospital. I came in alone to get food and Maddie did something that was truly genuine. I will never forget this or her. Please try this pleace!

Fantastic spot for a good drink and meal in Danville. Food was absolutely fantastic and the small-town atmosphere was magical.
