Loved their rustic cabin and loved the way water looked black and it's stunning can't wait to go back next spring or fall

We stayed here one night (had planned to spend 2) mid-November. The trip up to the park from the interstate (from the east) was an adventure climbing the mountains and twists and sharp turns. The park was not crowded and everyone was evenly spaced out through self-selection. We stayed in Site 23. I believe that it is a pull through site, but wasn’t able to check because the internet was spotty. We were able to level our 30’ unit, but the site had some incline to it especially going in to it. We ended up not staying because our heat and hot water was not working in our trailer. Because of that we did make use of the park showers. They were clean and had plenty of hot water and water pressure. The bathroom did have a significant smell. I couldn’t tell if it was sewer gas or sulfur in the water. Because of this and the temperature (below freezing), we did not access the water or the sewer in our full-hookup site. The return to the interstate was an interesting drive as well (going west). Narrower road and one lane bridges. The park was beautiful. It looks as if there are plenty of hiking and water activities. As a winter camping spot. It had the bases covered. Although cell service was not great, our mobile internet device (Verizon) did manage to provide us scrolling, texting and email. I would have to know the status of the water quality to stay for a more extended period and to give it a 5th star.

Lovely campgrounds! Roomy sites, clean up-to-date restrooms and it was quiet. Very dog friendly, as well.

Visit in the Fall and experience the magic of autumn colors. Beautiful surroundings, easy trails, a fine campground.

Very nice, quiet.there's a beach, camping & kayak rentals. Fresh water, looks like ice tea due to the black walnut trees, even an electric car charger folks! Gotta love Central Pa!

We went here to explore the campground and check out potential camping spots for next year. I camped here as a child and I'm excited to go back in the future. Definitely check out the Bog Walk!

Beautiful place to hike, camp, and swim.
We have been going to Black Moshannon for over 30 years and it has never disappointed.
The campsites are well wooded and you don't feel like you are in your neighbor's space, like most campgrounds.
We often take our bikes to Six Mile Run to ride on the dirt roads and maybe even jump into the stream to cool off.
Many good memories were made here!

Beautiful flat water. Seen lots of wood ducks and Canadian geese. Walked through the bog to find some up close. Nice modern cabin we stayed in. Big fire pit and secluded area. Nice trails.

Nice walking trails, tent camping sites are small and to close to each other, lake to covered in Lilly pads, could be a nice bass fishing area if cleared out some of the Lilly pads, wasn't impressed with swimming area, Prince Galitzen State Park much nicer.

Wish I had taken pictures. This place is simply wonderful, the water the atmosphere, and the people. Wasn't overly packed but I also went on an 84 degree day so hotter days I'm sure it's busy. Pavilion for party on the swim side, opposite side for fishing and boating. Plenty of sand, only issue is they allow dogs to use the bathroom (in my opinion) to close where the kids jungle gym is. Bet fantastic place, you'll have fun.

This is an absolutely beautiful park! Great for kayaking, fishing, hiking, relaxing. The camp store has really good ice cream and sandwiches. The camping sites are very nice, the rangers are friendly. Several of my family members get together and camp here every year. We would normally have rated it 5 stars, but when we just camped there, the restrooms were not nearly as clean as previous years. The first two days no one swept, or cleaned the toilets. A man was sweeping stones off the road in front of the bathroom the second day (apparently trying to look busy) when my daughter and I went to the restrooms and were discussing how they hadn’t been cleaned at all. Apparently, he overheard us and got a rag, broom, and spray bottle went directly in for five minutes to clean. After he left, the toilet paper, leaves, etc.were mostly swept off the floor. The inside of the toilets had not been cleaned, still bugs in the corners of the shower, and the trash was not taken out of the restroom then or our entire stay. Clean, sanitized, bathrooms are important to us.

The park is beautiful. The bog walk was a great little (very little) walk—lovely views and interesting details along the walk. Everyone was fascinated to see a carnivorous plant up close in the wild! Nice beach for the kids. The concession offers generous scoops of ice cream at a family-friendly price.

Cabin twenty was THE BEST! The entire state Park is beautiful and well maintained. Boating, swimming, a convenience shop with great grill food and icecream. Couldn't have asked for a better vacation spot.

Black Moshannon is a lovely park! Beautiful lake, lots of trails, beaches and public restrooms that are clean and modern. Lots of picnic tables and covered pavilions next to grills for your use. There is a fabulous boat rental place and snack shop - Sleepy Hollow Outpost and Boat Rental. Delicious food if you don't want to bring your own picnic. Friendly park rangers giving courses for kids. This place couldn't be any better! Love it!
