Blue Ridge Communications reviews
18 Other companies use 3.0 modems for unlimited Internet, however Blue Ridge forces subscribers to purchase or lease a 3.1 modem. They're not cheap ($160 average). The modem they give is complete nonsense. Does not stay connected to the internet and cannot handle speeds. If Blue Ridge says that "a 3.0 modem cannot handle our unlimited", then lease 3.1s that can.
The 3 stars is for mediocre use of technology.
Hours are difficult to be there when staff is. Good thing for the drop off box, as that's what I used after my second trip there to return modem.
My phone calls always get dropped within minutes sometimes within seconds of answering a call. I can’t FaceTime with family, my boys, or my girl on my phone. If you don’t have an Ethernet running directly to your PC or Console then forget about gaming. Wireless is terrible even when my Mac is next to the router.
I live in a dead zone and I couldn’t make calls before but at least I can call for emergencies now lol.
I have an apartment in the city where I have Verizon as my provider and I wish they would serve Stroudsburg but unfortunately this is all I could find in my area.
Tried to return my wifi box 2 times, but hours weren't convenient so put it into the drop box. Hopefully it gets taken off my account. We'll see, probably will have to call as a follow up.
Well, it's the only game in town, so they take full advantage. Their 89 bucks plan is not faster than optimum or Verizon 50 bucks plan 1 hour away in West Orange NJ.
Unexplained interruptions at least once a week during business hours for a commercial account is not acceptable
Horrible service, horrible customer service! I have “Best” plan they offer and it’s mediocre on its best day. If I could give this company negative stars I would!
Internet keeps going out. Have to reboot modem almost every day some multiple times. BRC keeps emailing they have concerns in the area, but they do not fix problem. Have started a formal FCC complaint. BRC charges an exorbitant amount for internet that’s not reliable. When you call them they just have you reboot the modem but refuse to replace it.
Needed a, couple questions aked, don't seem to want to walk you through. Always something. Bills forever increasing
A few minutes in the upgrade my modem to docsis 3.1 so that can take advantage of the higher speeds offered by Blue Ridge for my current internet price. They are offering speeds up to 500mbps for the price of 100.
They have changed their policies to limit your GB per month limit.there is currently no incentive whatsoever to pay for a higher speed with the current limitations.they constantly charge overage fees every month and think that their customers are stupid. They used to be good but are now terrible!
Stay away if you can
Friendly and helpful service. It was so much better than calling someone on the phone, there was no more than a 10-minute wait and the person that helped me made helpful suggestions so that I could get more for my money. When I call on the phone, I am usually on hold for a minimum of 20 minutes and I need to be transferred multiple times. Going in person was far better.
They throttle your internet regularly, and charge way too much for the value of what you receive. It is the most aggravating thing, its unfortunate they control the entire area I live.
Busy. Had to wait on line for 15+ minutes holding a heavy box in order to return equipment because we're moving out if the service area. The employee who waited in me was very pleasant despite the office being overwhelmed.
When we had outage for a week the customer service person gave us credit on our bill. Very satisfied.
Welcome to 1990. Slow cable Internet, high prices and mediocre services. Not much of a choice for Internet so.
I wish that there was another cable company in the Poconos. I cannot begin to tell you about all of the problems that we've had and continue to have with blueridge. They don't carry the BIG10 network because they want to make more money off of us. Big 10 wants to put their channel on the basic service but blueridge wants to put it on there service that is one service above basic so they can make money on the channel. I hate blueridge and the only reason that I have stayed with them this long is because I want the PCN network and the dish doesn't offer it.
