12 Wow, just wow.
I haven't felt this good in years! Ask for Donna, I'm convinced that she has magic hands. Deep tissue message I won't soon forget.
Thank you
Icyle is very attentive, knowledgeable, and personable! She listened when I described the pain I've developed from sitting at my desk all week long and knew exactly how to tailor the massage to alleviate those problems. She checked in throughout the massage and adjusted pressure when needed. The atmosphere was very relaxing and exactly the therapeutic massage I needed!
I have been seeing Icyle for months and thought I’d found my Pittsburgh massage therapist. WRONG. Once in the past I had been late to an appointment and she took that time out of my massage. Completely understandable, as it would be unfair to mess up the schedule of the client following me. But I found out today that this doesn't necessarily go both ways.
Today I was early for my appointment and Icyle welcomed me a little late, which I knew meant that by the time I undressed and was on the table, we would be about ten minutes behind. So I asked Icyle when she would start the time on this appointment, just to clarify that I’d still get the two hours I was paying for.
Apparently, Icyle did not like that I had dared ask this question. She immediately responded that she would never short anyone on time and quickly left the room, slamming the door as she went.
During the massage, she didn’t respond to comments I made, used harder pressure on my body than usual (even after I asked her to use a lighter touch), and acted like she was in a rush.
After the massage, there was none of her usual, “how are you feeling? ” She was just gone, once again slamming the door, and was nowhere to be found in the hallway.
The woman who checked me out didn’t ask how it had gone, didn’t ask if I wanted to tip (I usually tip 20%; I certainly didn’t want to this time!), and didn’t blink an eye or ask any questions when I asked to cancel all of my remaining appointments (five!). Either she knew something had happened and/or she just didn’t care.
So maybe they don’t care about how customers are treated, but at least I get to tell how I feel here.
Front desk staff asked me to wear a mask although they never wore one. Massage therapist was professional and seem skilled at his trade. No one offered me water before or after which is usually standard for massage. They told me to schedule through the app which has no openings even if you forward several months.
I've been going to Body by Design for 8 years now.and that's because they are the best. They are all very experienced providers and great at what they do!
Body by Design is a professionally run organization. Everyone I have en lunettes is always so nice and accommodating. I have purchased many gift cards for friends and family. Would recommend the massage therapists highly as they CARE for the customer.
Good salon, the massage is amazing there. Alison is doing a great job. Salon's entrance from the backyard of the commercial building. So you need to go throu the apartment buildings.
The best massage place I have ever been to! The LMT's actually listen to their clients and put in more attention to the areas that are hurting the most! I have had multiple massages by multiple LMT's there and never had a bad experience! Love them!
I regularly visit Body by Design to receive massages. Their services include Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, lymphatic massage, dermoneuromodulation, bamboo massage, hot stone massage, Ortho-Bionomy, prenatal massage, reflexology, and reiki. Recently, they added other services such as lomi lomi (Hawaiian massage) and Shiatsu. I rotate among all of the massage therapists—Sugar, Alison, Mark, Donna Marie, Mareena, Amanda, and others—because they all have wonderful personalities and massage skills. So far, I have received Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, bamboo, hot stone, and lomi lomi (similarly relaxing like Swedish) massages as well as reflexology (which did not diagnose any health conditions for me but did feel like a very nice foot massage) and reiki (a gentle laying on or hovering of hands). Every service has been highly customized for me, and the therapists have relieved muscle knots and trigger points that I did not previously realize that I had. Prices are reasonable, ranging from ~$45 for a 30-minute service to $150 for a 2-hour service. You can also add enhancements such as hot stones, cupping, aromatherapy, scrubs for the hands and feet, and CBD oil. For me, the cupping left temporary red marks on my back but felt energizing, and the scrubs had pleasant scents and softened my rough skin. If you are looking for massage therapists who value you as a customer and collaborate with you to do the very best massages, then this business is for you!
Amazing! Sugar has magic hands! Best massage therapist I've ever been too. And she is such a lovely person. Highly recommend her. The lady on the front desk is so helpful and lovely too. If you are in need of a massage therapist, definitely go here! I always feel so welcome. Thank you
I have had massages all over the world and I can honestly say Mareena gives a fab massage. Highly recommend!
