Boehmer Heating & Cooling, Pittsburgh PA

After calling the previous Hvac company who repaired our home air conditioner once already and did not respond 2 days in a row. And after calling 3 other companies and not receiving a response and one denial, We called Boehmer heating and cooling. They not only answered the call but came very quickly that same evening during emergency hours. Our home had been extremely hot for 2 days in a row without any relief! Ed Overly came to our home, mask on and found the problem after checking our unit. Our coolant was almost empty! There is obviously a leak in this 3 year old unit! We are having a small outdoor event in a week or so and was worried that this might happen again. He explained that the dye has to work its way through and they would normally do a re-check in a few weeks but reassured us they would make a service call before then! We now trust them and have found our new Heating and cooling company for maintenance and repair! Thanks Ed and Boehmer Heating Cooling! We give you 10 stars out of 5! Oh and their prices were very reasonable in comparison to others that quoted emergency service calls!

One furnace is not easy to get to in the attic. Matt gamely went in. Both furnaces we have are getting old. Matt was familiar with both and pointed out various features to me. He found a couple of necessary repairs and completed one today.

Have always been pleased with the service. Great place to deal with. Would recommend Boehmer H&C highly. Service Tech's are courteous and professional.

My experience with Boehmer has been good. I have a service contract which provides testing and cleaning my furnace and air conditioning each year. After they receive my payment for the annual contract, they call to schedule maintenance. Most recently, I had my a/c serviced. The technician, Ed, was very efficient and professional. Due to the coronavirus, he wore a mask the entire time he was on my property, even though the temperature was 90+ degrees. His inspection was thorough and unhurried.

I have been a long time customer. Today, Ed was here for a maintenance check up on my air conditioner. He is an excellent technician, very efficient, knowledgeable and extremely thorough. Very nice and personable to me and my little barking dog.
I highly recommend this business for all of your heating and cooling issues.

I cannot say enough good things about Boehmer Heating and Cooling. They have installed an air conditioner and a boiler in our home and their service has been stellar. They may not be the cheapest but their dependability and great service makes them our go-to company.

Furnace stopped running on a 15 degree day. Ed arrived within a few hours of my initial call to Boehmer. Furnace was up and running that morning after replacing a part. Thanks Ed!

One of their trucks in traffic on Fifth Avenue in Oakland, Pittsburgh, PA at 10am. One of the men inside the truck was casually and loudly making racially biased comments about the new Asian students attending orientation. I had two Asian students in my car at the time that heard their comments.

Not cool, not acceptable and not hireable.

Had some AC work done by Ed.absolutely fantastic, I strongly recommend the company, but I very much recommend requesting Ed for any and all AC and or HEATING concerns, he is a very trustworthy and professional technician and most of all knowledgeable.

To be honest, since your guy was very rude, I am even fear of contacting you to complain because the rudeness really hurt me. I recently used Boehmer Heating and Cooling to replace my air conditioning unit and was very pleased with the service they provided. Everyone I dealt was both courteous and professional. The job was complete ahead of schedule and on budget. Thank you all for your help and hard work.

Rich was professional, timely, and courteous. Called before he arrived - and arrived on the time we had scheduled. Clearly explained what he was going to do, and the results. Made sure I was satisfied before he left. I am glad I called Boehmer.

Boehmer is Shameful Scammers and Con-men.

First Boehmer softens-you-up with a "diagnostic charge" of $90. I would have no problem with that if they rolled that into their repair bill, but it's in addition to the repair. A flat hourly charge would be better. But that isn't Boehmer's goal. Their goal is to MILK YOU! ! !

Second, Boehmer is NOTORIOUS for over-estimating, over-engineering, exaggerating, or offering parts that are excessive, all in order to drive up cost. I asked for a starter repair and they wanted to replace the whole furnace (thinking that I wasn't aware that it was only 5 years old).

Then Boehmer wanted to charge me over $600 for a $9 part that you could install yourself faster than changing an air-filter.

Run from this company for basic maintenance. They will milk you like a dairy cow.

If you want a new install, they've been pretty competitive.

Dispatch was friendly, but waited 45 minutes and no call ball from a technician. Called dispatch again, and waited another 40 minutes for a call back before I just called another company

Called to have a technician come out on Saturday, after 5 hours the technician claimed he could not make it up my street. I had a pizza delivery driver have no issue make it up my street an hour earlier in a honda civic.

I asked for a rep to take a look at a combination unit in one of my rentals and see if it could be fixed. They said there would be a service fee and I agreed to pay it. The serviceman visited the property and said the heat exchanger was broken and named 3 items that were installed incorrectly when the unit was put in by the previous company. I believe his assessment was correct. He said he couldn't get parts for the unit as the company was out of business (this is also true). I said "great, get me a quote on a new unit and can you get me a diagnosis in writing? " Sure.
Sales person quoted me over $9000 for a new unit. The units they install are $5000+ units. I asked for a quote to install a cheaper Bosch unit that sells for under $3000. His quote came back HIGHER than the first unit. Clearly I will not pay $10,000 for a $5000-$7000 installation. I asked again for a written diagnosis on the old unit and no one to this day has gotten it to me. It has been almost 2 months now since my initial call. This company seems more interested in getting high-priced sales than doing anything else. Your'e crazy if you pay this kind of money for a furnace. Don't even bother calling them if you want a repair or a diagnosis.they don't seem interested in that.

Ed Overly serviced the heating system for me at the Cobblestone Lane property. I was 100% satisfied with the service. He did a VERY thorough maintenance on the heating system for a fair price. Thanks VERY much.
