We are repeat customers with Jan Eddowes of Bonaventure and we’ve had a great experience both times. Jan helped us through the process of buying our first home almost 10 years ago, and recently helped us through the process of selling that home and buying a new one. We had such a good experience the first time, we never considered looking elsewhere when it came time to go through the process again. Jan is not only a good realtor, but a lovely person. She went above and beyond throughout the process to get to know us as people and we have even stayed in touch a bit through the years in between.

As a buyer’s agent, Jan was patient and listened to what we were looking for. She provided helpful input based on her experience without being pushy, as there was a lot we didn’t realize we didn’t know our first time. With her help, we ended up in a wonderful home we have loved for 9 years. As our family grew, we looked to add a bit more space and purchase a larger home. We had a fairly specific set of criteria we needed to meet, with 2 large dogs and two small children, making the purchase potentially tricky. Again, Jan helped us navigate a very difficult buyer’s market and we couldn’t be happier with where we ended up.

As a seller’s agent, Jan provided helpful feedback on which preparations we did (and did not) need to make to successfully list the home. Joe and Jan both met with us to discuss pricing, timing and strategy for our home sale. With their guidance, we were able to sell the home in less than a week after listing and at a price we were very happy with. Most importantly, they made sure the timing of buying the new house and selling the old one were favorable, enabling us to transition over a few weeks without holding 2 mortgages longer than we needed to.

We have nothing but positive things to say about Jan and Bonaventure and recommend them to anyone we know who is looking for a realtor. The phrase gets used a lot, but Bonaventure really does bring the “family” feel to buying a home. Jan made us feel more like friends than clients throughout the process and we continue to be grateful for her guidance in landing our home.
