Hostesses were extremely rude. They rolled their eyes at me and gave me an attitude when I asked how long my food would take a second time. I waited an hour and a half for my food when they told me it was a 35 minute wait time. When I received my food there was hair in it. The tteobokki was still hard too. Horrible establishment.

I wanted to speak to a manager because my order was incorrect but the girl in the front ignored me when I asked her two times. When she finally acknowledged me, she said they couldn’t do anything about it. It wasn’t even busy at all. Never coming back here ever again.

Staff are very friendly and that is a plus for me. The cola from the fountain was flat, and the waiter gladly changed it to a bottled one. The chicken was CRISPY! If you like super crispy skin, this place is for you. The chicken in breaded. I don’t know if they bake it then fry it, cuz the inside is tender and juicy. Flavors are very subtle. Garlic sauce on the chicken was sweet and not to garlicky, Tasted so good! But I wish they had more sauce on the chicken and more seasoning. To my personal preference it just need more. The spicy one wasn’t spicy enough for my taste buds. It was mild kinda spicy. I look forward trying more food at this place. The reason I gave it three stars: there wasn’t enough sauce. Second, the fries was served ice cold. Would I come again? Yea. I would, but I would ask for steaming hot food outta of the kitchen, and would try the chicken strips instead of the wings and drumsticks.

Went tonight, loved it and plan on coming back. The menu is a bit small, but definitely good for small groups.

Order spicy thru uber eats. Look at what I got a dry chicken some over cooked without sauce at all. Quality is not up to its name.

There chicken is off the hook this is definitely a place you will have to visit for the experience of a life time of eating some very good chicken. I've been here quite a few times. Recently there prices have gone up due to the shortage of certain parts of the chicken. So I'm going to have to skip them until the prices come back down.but if you dont mind paying the extra money the chicken is definitely a go.

This location is phenomenal and easier to find parking than the chinatown location. I love the delivery service but for doordash they had a huge problem with wrong. Bonchon corrected it and sent out another order of 60 wings where they personally delivered it for a birthday party rather than doordash. Customer service is excellent and food is always hot and crispy so this is my spot whenever I am looking for awesome wings that satisfies a crowd! Thank you again for keeping the party people satisfied!

I got salmonella from the chicken! I looked up their most recent report on phila.gov for their last health inspection and it appears that they don’t care that their food is out for contamination AND they don’t clean their kitchen! There’s so many violations on the health inspection sheet. Super unclean & disgusting. Why isn’t this place shut down? I see their workers not wearing mask either. Don’t eat here.

The energy and service here is bad! I ordered the seafood fried rice that was very good but there was more rice instead of the seafood! I ordered a drink and it was something at the bottom of it (which the manager took care of) and the fries wasn’t even hot! I even ordered wings but it literally took 45 mins to come out. I was so excited to come back to this place cause when they first opened it was soo good but now it’s just dry and it’s almost like they pick and choose who they wanna give the best service to which is annoying cause money spend the same! The waiters got small attitude issues if you address something aswell. The food is not bad but it’s just not worth it! You’re better off going somewhere else that’s closer.

BEST CHICKEN SPOT IN PHILADELPHIA! I've been too a few around the city but I just can't seem to get enough of bonchon. Definitely a bit more pricey than others but the chicken taste is unique. Never had anything like it and it's borderline addictive lol. Haven't really tried anything else at the spot but the chicken is definitely top par.

Soooo addicted to Bon Chon. An old co worker put me on to this place almost 2 years ago and I haven't stopped going since. I love the spicy chicken. I get the chicken strips.and I also get extra spicy sauce. If you do not like spicy food, then BEWARE! SOOO SPICY AND GOOD. BEST CHICKEN EVER! The chicken fried rice is amazingly good as well.so simple but so delicious. I've had the pot stickers and they are just as good. The garlic soy chicken is another tasteful item especially if you do not like spicy. But honestly you can't go wrong here, because everything is good. Service is usually fast and the young ladies at the front do a very good job at getting your order out to you.

We were here Saturday night. Upon ordering and asking the waitress for some stuff she did inform us of the short staff. Ok i get it. But after waiting for about an hour for our food to have the waitress come up and ask us what we order is not acceptable. We ended up canceling our food cause obviously she did not put it in and we left. Short staff ok but a little attentive to the 3 tables you have would’ve been nice.

I was so disappointed with my order. I ordered bulgogi and specifically asked if it came with white rice. Not to mention how high the price was for the small amount of food. I was visiting Philly so it's not easy to go back over for missing part of the food. This was the 2nd time I got food from this restaurant and I'm done.

Perfect place to have for a night snack or late night dinner if you love fried chicken!

The batter was not too thick but crispy enough to satisfy your craving for fried chicken. I highly recommend their fried chicken with the sauce on because it's sweet & spicy, which is the perfect combo!

I only recommend to try their fried chicken dishes, but not their other dishes (like bao buns). They were okay, not too outstanding, and you can find better places than here.

I was so disappointed yesterday tbh. I’ve had bonchon since high school with my friends and we always go to the city hall one but me and friends decide to try a different location and we were all disappointed. The chicken looked burnt and it wasn’t even hot, took a bite and it was pink inside. Seafood fried rice was all mushy and half of the place was hot n rest cold. This is not the bounchon I’ve be tasting when I go the city hall one and y’all gotta do better cuz that ain’t right. We paying y’all to feed us food and y’all doing a bad job.

I love Bonchon’ signature fried chicken (spicy). But I am so disappointed after ordering from this location. The chicken came out completely burnt and dry. There was barely any spicy sauce on it. The chicken was not spicy at all. Whenever, I order from the chinatown location, it always comes out great. I’ll never order from this location ever again.

Waiter decided to not write down our order so my sons wrap was wrong and I had to get the waiter bx they never brought him his meal. I also ordered fries and those never came. We only ordered 4 things and they got 1/2 right. Food was ok nothing to speak about. Won’t go back.

My boyfriend and I love coming to the University City location. When we can’t figure out where to go to eat, Bonchon is usually our choice for a chill date.

I noticed a lot of bad reviews but we get chicken every time and it never disappoints. The one thing I can say is their policy is they don’t give you sauce on the side.

Tacos are delish.
Our usual waitress Chelsea is super sweet and recognizes us every time.

Ask for your wings “fried hard” it may really change your negative opinion.
