Bourbon & Branch, Philadelphia PA

Had dinner there last night, we tried the vegan bbq wings, smoked wings and vegan burger and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Honestly one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The wings were super crispy and the sauce was phenomenal. I would only suggest some work on their cocktail menu but other than that everything was phenomenal. We will certainly be coming back.

I’m visiting Philadelphia with my friends, and I’m very excited to try this brunch place. However, it let me down a little bit. The waffle in the chicken waffle tasted bland, but the chicken was tender. The tropical mimosa is just okay; I’ve tasted better ones.

Came for dinner and cocktails. 45 min wait forced is to check out other bars. Came back for night caps and sat for 20 min with no service. Went to 700 for a great cocktail

Nice atmosphere. Burger was smaller than expected and kind of dry. Waitress was horrible. Wish i had the bigger girls. They did so good at thier tables.

Okay, let’s be honest - I work there and my son owns the place, so I'm a little partial. The Bourb has been rocking it since 2014 and remains a major player in hip, ever-changing Northern Liberties. Dining is casual with both vegan friendly and carnivorous fare. Upstairs is a sports bar/dining with seven TVs including a room-for-six Irish snug for those who like privacy. It's also a busy weekend brunch hotspot, not to mention our extensive whiskey collection, original craft cocktails and ice-cold drafts.

B&B is unquestionably one of the top dives (best food) in Philly, and certainly tops in NoLibs. The staff is always so happy to see us and keeps the vibe on the whole place positive and fun. Shoutout to my faves Cara, Ro, Rose, Emmaline, Brielle, and of course. Jonny and Adam.

My best friend and I went there last night and the experience was amazing. Our waitress (Liz) was phenomenal, the food was some of the best vegan food I have ever had and the drinks were delicious. My best friend and I can't wait to come back and try Brunch!

I'm vegetarian and when I tell you that the food options are top tier that's no exaggeration. Don't you hate going out with your non vegan or non vegetarian friends and only being able to order fries? ! You won’t have that issues here. There’s plenty of FLAVORFUL options for both parties. & I put the emphasis on flavorful because many places whose sole focus isn’t vegan dishes don’t truly know how to cook them. On top of great food, the severs and bartenders are so patient, helpful, and just kind. For this place to be a small whiskey bar I was shocked but the quality experience. My only con about this place is the close proximity to my home.

We are a party of 10, celebrating a birthday. We were initially seated inside but then moved outside because our party was too big to sit inside. We got seated at 1: 45p. I didn’t receive my appetizer until 3: 25p. EVERYTHING was underseasoned. All of the fried food was extremely dry and the waitress couldn’t get our order straight so my personal appetizer order came in way later than everything else. I hated my experience will NEVER be dining here again

I rarely write negative reviews- let alone a 1 star review. This place has been shilled for some time now, so I set out on a Saturday night to try and enjoy some vegan food.

I ordered the vegan pesto pizza and the vegan nachos with chicken. Big mistake. The mistake wasn't that I order these items, it coming here to eat. The food looking appealing upon arrival, which got my hopes up when it really shouldn't have. The pizza was disgustingly greasy, salty, yet still flavorless. As the wet cheese slid down my mouth, I barely tasted anything but regret and remorse for ordering it. I love pizza and this was the first pizza in a long time where I had to push myself to finish my serving. The nachos were slightly better but also too soggy and lacking in flavor. There weren't enough napkins in the store to contain the amount of grease my fingers were subjected to.

At the end of the meal, I was contemplating tipping only ~10 % due to the unappealing food and mediocre service. I came to find out that they already factor in a 20% gratuity when ringing me up. As the final nail in the coffin, B&B gets 1 star for a top to bottom disappointing and embarrassing restaurant experience.

Nice place to have a drink. There is indoor and outdoor seating currently. Decent selection of draft beers.

Food was great, service not bad. Great environment! The mushroom gravy was so good I'd eat it by itself. Definitely look forward to going again.

They serve Pizza Gutt pizzas, so of course it’s going to be awesome! I wanted a half Buffalo chicken, half pepperoni as I’ve seen done at Circles & Squares (also Pizza Gutt), but they said they couldn’t make that. I ended up with just Buffalo chicken. The cheesy edges were divine. It’s a white pizza with a drizzle of Buffalo and ranch on top. The only thing keeping it from perfection was that the ranch had way too much dill for my taste.

I didn’t have any bourbon, but they had a pretty good selection.

I’ve been to the San Francisco Bourbon & Branch and this place is completely different, so I don’t know if they’re affiliated at all or if the name is just a coincidence.

Food was tasteless, it took an hour to get food even though restaurant was not busy. Friendly staff. There is a mandatory 20% gratuity added to all checks. Great beer though. Would only come back for drinks

I am not one to leave bad reviews at all. Honestly this is my first one ever. I’ve worked in the industry for majority of my adult life. So when I don’t have the best service I’m very understanding because there could be multiple factors and they’re not always the servers fault. However, I was extremely disappointed with the service. I had the red head server who stood next to us on her phone the whole time. Literally next to us at the adjacent table scrolling her phone. When we needed something we had to get her attention when she looked up from her phone. She never asked how our food was we kinda had to ask for everything that is supposed to on offered during normal service standards in my opinion. At the end of the meal we learned there is also an automatic 20% grat on the check. During COVID era dining I understood that concept or when there is a large party. But there was only two of us and so the bad service was clearly because the server did not care because she knew she was getting 20% automatically. Giving this 2 stars only because the food and drinks were good and the food runner was extremely friendly and sweet.

Had the smash burger and some chicken wings. Pretty tasty and service was good. Wasn’t ready for day drinking so will have to come back to check out some cocktails.
