Avoid avoid avoid!
Suggested to me a licensed insurance agent to buy pet insurance knowing we had an issue and make the claim 30 days later Aka commit insurance fraud!

I took my 6 month old American bully puppy here after she hit her leg on a rock. They got me in for the weekend but after they looked at her I was told she had a torn ligament and she also had “ hereditary issues” and the rock was the straw that broke the camels back. They said I needed to get both legs operated on even though only one had the issue. When they are operating they’ll do a deal for both. They said it was $8-10 thousand! And wanted to “work up a quote” for X-rays came back at $750 they wanted to do blood work x rays and a “ consult fee” since they out source surgery.

After this I wanted a second opinion I took her to Harleysville Vet they only charged me $60 confirmed she needed an operation did not put for anything additional and said the SAME OPERATION AND ALL FOLLOW UPS ARE ONLY $2,500!

In concussion Bridgeport vet is only in if for the money and doesn’t have what’s best for your pet in mind. Please do yourself and your fur baby a favor and avoid this vet.

I chose to use Bridgeport Vet mostly due to the close proximity, and I'm so glad I did! Never had an issue with getting appointments, the building is always extremely clean, and staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I can tell they truly care for my pet and want the best for him. Waiting in the car for your appointment makes for a very calm environment in the building.

Bridgeport Vet Hospital is excellent with our labradoodle! They are attentive in every aspect. When my dog was sick they treated him and called a few days later to see how he was. I even received a phone call from one of the veterinarians on a holiday! Also, their boarding is exceptional, after a week, our dog was clean and happy at pickup! I highly recommend Bridgeport Veterinary Clinic for the best care for your pet!

Another vet practice that feels like a store, rather than a doctor. Staff and vets are nice but feel pushed into expensive and unnecessary procedures. For example, we brush our dogs teeth every night and was told they needed teeth extracted because they were heavily damaged. However, all other vets past and present have looked and completely disagree with this.

We found out very recently that our 11 year old Puggle was in Kidney Failure. We weren’t given much to work with as far as a treatment plan or next steps at the usual vet we go to so we wanted to take him to another vet just to see if there were any other options before we had to start thinking about the dreaded inevitable next step. We were able to get an appointment with Dr. Crawford the day after we called. Dr. Crawford gave us her honest evaluation that our guy wasn’t in good shape and it would very likely rapidly deteriorate. We didn’t want him to suffer and decided it was time. The whole staff was amazing and I can’t thank them enough for giving us the peaceful goodbye we needed. They explained the process, were so good to our Dex, and gave us as much time as we needed before we said goodbye. Thank you Dr. Crawford, Bailey, Erika and to all the other excellent staff members. My only wish is that we took Dex here sooner so you could have met him before he was sick. I wholeheartedly will recommend you all and when/if we are ready in the future, will be back.

Outstanding experience at Bridgeport Veterinary Hospital! Professional, courteous staff, excellent technicians. Allison is an outstanding manager-goes the extra mile to assure that everything runs smoothly. Dr. West is the best! Gives expert care, explains everything, and answers questions clearly. Did the first bath/nail trims there and our dogs never looked better! Cannot say enough good things about Bridgeport Veterinary Hospital!

The Kennel Manager, Roberto, does a great job! He is professional, meticulous, courteous and loves our pets (and they love him!). The best job ever on bathing!

I truly can't say enough about Bridgeport Vet. They are such special people. Some places will not allow bully breeds to socialize, but they love our girl, Nala. They treat her so well. I can imagine going anywhere else for her medical care, doggy day care, or boarding. Someone is always with the pups during boarding, too.

Bridgeport Vet is amazing. My furbaby started to show signs of a UTI yesterday called them today and they were able to squeeze her in. They did all the tests needed to get her in the right direction to feeling better. Thank you Dr. Ciaverelli, Samantha and Serena for taking care of my baby. Maisie ️ you guys!

We are first time puppy owners and needed to take our very new puppy in and they were kind, educational and helpful. I love the flexible weekend hours offered here as well. A great experience in a scary situation.

We got a new puppy and he became very I’ll. We brought him to Bridgeport Vet and received all of the pros and cons of treatment for our puppy Alex we started the medicine and he seems to be doing better already. Will definitely recommend this place to other fur baby families.

I felt this review was necessary for the betterment of the company and hopefully for the information of others who choose to bring their pets here. I wanted to leave three stars, but really I only had ONE issue that just really irritated me. Firstly, we had a very sick and older cat on our hands and we knew that we were likely there for a euthanasia. We knew we were likely not coming home with him. That being said, it was obviously not a good day to begin with. Most of the staff was kind and knowledgeable and compassionate to our needs and the situation. They walked us through the entire process and were sensitive to our feelings. However, WHILE the first dosage of the sedative was being administered to our dying pet and he is struggling on the table, the lady from the billing department came in, as we are in tears and the vet and her assistant are struggling to get the situation under control and said "that'll be $301.98 today" before the light even left our cats eyes and just stood there blinking at us until she got the plastic. And then she compliments my hair while my cat is laying there dying because it's just another day at the office for her and she has zero ability to read a room. Couldn't we have been billed BEFOREHAND or afterward instead of DURING? I just felt like it was rude and inappropriate and unnecessary. It felt like an invasion upon our goodbye and our grief process. I understand that they need to collect payments because that is their job, but payment wasn't a problem. It's not like the sobbing old lady and her granddaughter are going to run out the door after having whatever was left of their cat's life chemically extinguished. Gimme a break. Retraining might be in order for certain staff members. That's all I'm trying to say. Do better. Every guest has to walk out the same way they came in. Cameras and front desk and billing department. It's not like we would have left without paying. We wanted our cat's remains back. Gotta pay for that. We had the money for the services. If we hadn't, he wouldn't still be suffering at home. So maybe don't bombard grieving pet owners for their wallets DURING an appointment in the middle of euthanasia anymore. Completely unnecessary.

Dr. McLahan is the best! Our cat is his patient and we have never been happier with a veterinarian.

I recently went to Bridgeport Vet because my primary vet was closed and I couldn’t have had a better experience. The staff was so friendly and so accommodating. They also called a few days later to check on my pup. I may actually switch my primary vet to Bridgeport. Love them!

They were able to see my pet when we were in distress. Calm, comforting and extremely professional.
