Brighton Barber Shop, New Brighton PA

Been going here for awhile, it’s constantly a pain to even get an appointment booked, it’s like their schedules change daily. Cuts are usually good but the barber i selected this time no call no showed my appointment, wasted my time/fuel etc. A quick phone call or text message heads up would have worked just fine. Doubtful to return.

I’ve been here twice, and both times the barber “freestyled” my cut outside of what I asked him to do. The first time, one barber shaved off my widow’s peak and lined up my forehead without asking. About a year later, I decided to give it another try because I’ve heard so many good things about it. I asked the barber to take a half-inch off the top (I wear my hair down in front of my forehead with a messy look), and without asking, he cut the front like bangs and then layered my hair. Instead of the hair starting in the back of my head and running uniform down to the front, he cut it so that it each section covers a portion of my head. Now, the ends of my hair stick up in several places on the top of my head, making it appear like several cowlicks. I have seen six different barbers to try and fix this. Every one of them said the only way to fix this cut is to let my hair grow out or to get a buzz cut. Neither of these options are good for me. Five months later, my hair has made little progress and I’m at a loss for what to do. This barbershop has a pattern of not doing what the customer asks.

It’s always a nervous experience trying out a new barber for the first time. I had been looking for a new barbershop since I moved back to Beaver County almost 2 years ago, and I am so happy I gave this place a try. I was in the shop for the first time today and got a cut from the owner, Trent. The atmosphere in the shop is awesome and the guys were really welcoming and easy going. Trent did an awesome job on my hair. I’ll definitely be back on a regular basis.
