Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe, Pittsburgh PA

Not good at all. I couldn't even eat the fries with cheese because the cheese had an odd, almost sweet, taste. I have never left cheese fries uneaten in my life, but these I did. Hot dog was lousy.

Great hot dogs. Can’t beat the prices. Love the chili and cheese combo. The 2 paired together are just a party in your mouth. Nothing fancy just good old dogs and fries! Excellent staff.

I have been going to this location since Tony and Joanne opened up. Today, the store had no staff older than 17. My order was taken, as was payment, but the food was never delivered. As my frustration level rose, nothing was done, period. I was threatened by another diner while expressing my frustration. The staff (and ultimately the owner) sided with the man who asked me if I "wanted to take it outside".

I'm through with Tony's franchise. And to be honest, the 1/4 burger isn't worth the $5 they charge anymore. Especially when you're service staff is ignorant and rude and protected by a tired old man who should have sold off years ago.

Pass on this.

Went for breakfast today 6/5/23. Was disappointed. Have had breakfast several times and it was always good and hot. Today's breakfast was a mess. Plates sticky from syrup. Cold old home fries. Eggs not cooked. Toast cold with unmelted butter asked if they could heat it reply was no you would think they would offer to replace it Nope. Left my whole breakfast on my plate.

Microphone for ordering your food through drive-thru was terrible. When I asked the cashier how long this been going on? Her response was too long

I love the hot dog shop very much not a thing I could complain about but the hotdogs. You would think because the restaurant is named after a hot dog, that they would have large or footlong hotdogs.but that’s not the case they are boiled& regular

Can’t go wrong with a ma and pop shop like this! Gotta support the smaller businesses this place especially foods delicious and made to order. The owners are very kind and hardworking as well, always making sure their customers get taken care of

Great little breakfast but the main attraction for me are those milkshakes. Chocolate vanilla and banana are my favs. Great chilli cheese dogs. Fast drive thru.

I fell in love with the Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe over forty years ago and have been eating this delicious food ever since.

Went to the drive thru, asked for a number two, and the girl couldn't hear me. So I spoke up and she was like Mtn Dew? After waiting a few minutes some guy came on with an attitude "what do you want" I said number 2 with a Mtn dew, he said what do you want on your burger, I said "everything". He said very nasty like "there is no everything option you have to tell me exactly what you want" I said "whatever dude" and left. Whole interaction took 5 minutes. So I went to Wendy's instead and had a delicious burger in 30 seconds from ordering.

I'm partial as I grew up going to the original Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe. Even worked there. Best chilies cheese dogs and fries period

The Hot Dog Shoppe has been my family’s favorite for a while, and still is! The food is very tasty and the portions are fair. The workers are genuinely nice and helpful! Also very budget friendly!

I could eat 20 of those hotdogs. I usually stick to just two though. The fries are great too.

Always a good visit, people are friendly and hot dogs an fries are the best.
